We had a terrible visit to IKEA Nottingham today After seeing mouldy fruit in the fruit bowls we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt as our kids were hungry. We picked up glasses by the check outs that were filthy so didn’t get a drink. After paying for our food we sat down, about a third of the cafe was full but there was not one clean table. The final straw was when we went to get a spoon for my son and picked up a very obviously used spoon from the clean cutlery. At this point I was so upset and concerned about the lack of hygiene we left to wash our hands in the nearby MandS, leaving our un eaten food and trolley behind. Great value on half price Friday.

Today, June 29, 2024, I visited the hotdog stand in Nottingham. The hygiene standards were very poor. The employee frequently touched their face, trousers, and the tablet used for orders before handling the hotdog buns with their fingers to assemble the hotdog and toppings. This caused me to lose my appetite immediately. Proper hygiene training is urgently needed. The employee did not wear gloves, but it is possible to serve food without directly touching it by using napkins and food grabbers correctly.

We are disappointed with the IKEA breakfast. Quality of the food is not the best, trays are dirty and we had hair on the sausage. Few years ago IKEA was a nice place for morning meal but now standards changed a lot.

Great food and staff friendly but all cutlery and trays dirty every time

First of all we noticed that the trays were dirty, the knifes, forks and spoons were also dirty, I chose to use the plastic ones instead, my friend wiped hers down with whet wipes,the food was well cooked and the fish was very good. I can't see me eating there again especially with the memories of the brown substance on one of their spoons but all their utensils are dirty and unhygienic.

They ran out of the veggie main for the roast and wouldn't do a plate of roast veg at a slightly discounted price or substitute the main for cauliflower cheese (unit cost £1.50). My partner had already paid so I had nothing. I don't think my request was unreasonable or difficult.

Cutlery, plates and trays are dirty. They don't wash them properely. :( But the food is great.

Just warm meat balls, Just warm old chips, Just warm peas, Just warm gravy. Was cold out today, cant imagine it going down well in Sweden where its much colder.

Absolutely appalling customer service , first remove your board outside that says plant meatballs are £3 because at till they are £4.50 and also remove your board inside restaurant that says you get a free drink with your soup , when at the till the girl on both of these said what do you expect me to do , that’s the price that’s come through on till , most rude when I said we’ll get the manager then , with that she rolled her eyes and walked off , another girl came on till and said we will sort it , as for the free drink she said you don’t get one , talk about false advertising, get your prices and staff sorted , they need a lesson in customer service

In the past few years, I used to go for dinner every week, but in the past few months, I began to find that the cleanliness of the restaurant was very problematic. Many employees were chatting and did not work in time. When I went to the restaurant at 6:30, more than half of the restaurant was closed. It's hard to find clean seats. The table and the floor were very dirty, and it was left like this until restaurant closed . It seems that this restaurant really has nothing to do with IKEA ... The attitude of the kitchen staff also needs to be improved. Even they provide only a few things, but they still confused. May be ikea pay salary not very good , so no staffs enjoy their jobs .

We went yesterday. The last couple of times we've been have been disappointing. Very little choice, dirty tables etc. Today we asked for vegetarian meatballs. As soon as we bit into them we felt sick. We'd been given the ordinary meatballs. I took them straight back to the girl who served us and told her. "To which she said "oh. who served you?" She did! And it was less than 5 minutes ago. Half hearted apology and replaced meal. We will definitely not be going again. Awful.

JAN-2023: There's a veganuary discount now, £2 for a whole meal. Vegan cheesecake is available

I am a regular visitor. Last year noticed dramatic food quality decline. First visit in 2023 very disappointing - portions smaller price’s higher, limited choice of simplified dishes, and a horrible taste of watery coffee.

Had fish and chips.. If I had a cat.. It would have not eaten it.. Cold and no taste.. Not be eating there again...

The quality of food is pretty low, food choices and variety has gone and today's dinner looked and tasted like a pig food. What have you been doing IKEA?

At the end of the day, we all, the customers wish to end the day in a very nice atmosphere. We'll, I found Lowen in IKEA restaurant who welcomed me with a professional smile and very helpful with my requests. The cashier was friendly as well and the professional attitude and the smile made my day. I will always be grateful for the professional attitude where the professional smile is included when you deal with customers. My satisfaction reached the peak and I wish that all the staff should do the same. Well done, Lowen!

The breakfast was merely warm with cold rubbery toast..The table screens were dirty with finger marks all over them and the pictures also needed cleaning..After close observation we couldn't wait to leave as it looked quite grubby..Not be returning in a hurry!

I had moved a head from the line as the products in front of my line I didn't want. The servers rudely reminded me that I needed to be behind the line to which I challenged. This is poor service to paying customers. Their response was that's 'how it is' yhr colleagues names were ' Izzy and casey'. Absolutely shocking.

Visited the Cafe today, massive queues due to only one person serving. We had meatballs and fish and chips and they were cold, soggy and unappetising. We've both felt sick ever since.

What can I say the meatballs are the best

Meat balls and chips, delicious! Tables were dirty which considering the pandemic, was not very comforting. Cutlery was also dirty.

Cheap and cheerful. Good customer service. Menu changed a bit since my last visit, seems to be more vegetarian options now and pretty much all drinks are sugar free only.

The cafe has had a pleasant upgrade, however the food is not so pleasant; the breakfast - disgusting.

Due to Covid the Cafe has changed slightly, less tables but after being shown to table you pick what you want, then one person goes to till to order. Food and drinks are brought to your table. Works very well, all staff work very well polite and know what to do 👍🏻 no problems 👍🏻

Coffee and apple cake in the afternoon. Can't be faulted for this price. Great atmosphere.

Great breakfast great price to take no notice of people who say there is not enough they just want something for nothing

Nice food and reasonably priced

4star because they make improvements about covid -19 but the menu still the same and the taste is doesn't change like in other countries or in Sweden.

Well done for keeping it nice and clean. Best option is to prebook restaurant table once you enter inside which saves you from standing in a queue

Had to walk halfway around shop to get to the cafe then told had to book so walked around the other half of the shop then told to go to fire exit on the outside of the cafe and someone would let us in, to be stood out in the rain, then no breakfasts, limited menu, not taking part in eat out to help out and was made to pay for 3 cakes when only ordered 2, food was not great either!

Prices up, portions and choice down. Prawn and egg option had no egg was told would get more prawns and a side salad. Neither happened, sandwich was poor and very tiny only one slice of bread the size of a cracker. Coffee Luke warm. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Food is great of course. Simple but good. The queue moved more slowly than might be possible, but the lady on till was lovely and couldnt have been nicer or more helpful.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. Also the queuing did not take very long as the staff positioned on the exit and entrance were keeping track of the amount of people in the store very well

Cold food I believe it's probably because of the queing checking out system one till on and all.

At peak times difficult to find a seat. Always a queue for food, but goes down reasonably quickly. Tray trollies are a great idea and essential. Annoying if you miss something off self service as it can be a real pain to backtrack through the very narrow queue. Food ok.

Always enjoy our breakfast here before the store opens

Unfortunately... The most bland, dry meal.. We ever ate. Granted it was a little later in the day however we don't normally eat dishes like this but thought we'd have something a little naughty as we where shopping and would have to tackle d.i.y when home, wish we had waited to ping our meal prep instead because this dinner was, yuk!

Always busy hard to get a seat most of the time, but great tasting meat balls.

All ways enjoy a run to IKEA Love it in week with your family card you get free tea or coffee and if you prefer cappuccino it's only about 40p or 50p The food and cakes are very nice and quite a reasonable price

Who doesn't love a bowl full of meatballs? And that gravy; oh man I'd drink a jug of that nectar! The cafe is always clean, the staff are nice, free refills of drinks and more menu variety than most gastropubs

Love this place! Can be pretty busy at times but their hot food is great and they make an excellent mash!

Very reasonably priced food, and nice refurbished environment, with a good recycling tray return area. I love the pastries with a black coffee, sitting up on a stool with magazines and books to read in the rack, and the WiFi is good.

The food is really nice however there is no seats for eating inside, no lids for the cups and the sodas are disgusting.

Can get very busy during school holidays, I personally would avoid in future during the holidays, also be careful when leaving as police wait to catch speeding drivers on the dual carriageway and the speed limit is only 50.

No surprise to find this is a simple, clearly laid out cafe with good value food. A fairly simple menu is provided, with something to suit most pallets. Clean well presented, the IKEA way I assume. Not a date night place, more fuel top up.

A lot bigger and better than the old café. However can still get noisy and hard to find a table at weekends. You can't fault IKEA though for the value of their café.

Great value, there is also a large seating area so you tend not to be wandering around with your meal on tray, trying to find a table. If you just fancy a coffee, or a complete meal this is no problem. The layout is designed for in such a way that you can sit with a coffee and read alone, or grab a table for two, families and larger groups are also catered for. Infants and smaller children have a play area, so mum and dad can watch the kids whilst eating. Really well thought through, and excellent value for money, kept immaculately clean always, Well done IKEA Nottingham.

It's not particularly well priced for what you get ... service is ok ... But fish and chips at around £6....go to a chip shop.. peas dried out and fish was preformed.. don't do it.

All manner of things in here. Some fantastic idea's for making the house look good. Having the food available while your in with the Mrs keeps her from murdering you while she decides on what light would look best with the desk and spinning chair.
