The best restaurants in East Midlands

Our first time at Olivares The restaurant had been recommended to us. Well it did not disappoint at all. Incredible food 😀

Euro tournament at the Sixfields .. From the very first game Anna and her Team have worked so hard to give the best safe game environment in the Sixfields weather it be in the Sports bar for Adults only or in the main restaurant area with multiple screens for the Families . Key factor for this is the booking system applied by the GM Anna , looking forward to the Final on Sunday night with Team Sixfields . Well done and Thank you from all of us . It’s coming HOME !!!!

Lovey Italian in Matlock - great menu choice and lovely food. Selection of pizzas, pasta, steaks, risotto and salads. The Tiramisu was also one of the best we’ve had. Highly recommended

From the minute we arrived we were made welcome by the manager and staff. The entrance is from the car park. The menu and the variety of wines & beers were excellent with the addition to the 3 special boards, Special Meals, Pie Meals and Burgers. Now I understand Gastropub, brilliant inventive food all 4 meals gorgeous in flavour, quality and presentation. If you are looking for a special place to eat in Buxton, we thought there could be nowhere better. For the meals that we received which included starers, mains and deserts we found it not expensive. If we are back in Buxton, we will be there. Even though the property is in a rural location you would be better to book as we did, the day before. The chefs, outstanding and staff friendly and informative, always with a smile. For a Gastropub to be so busy on a Tuesday the food must be outstanding. This is our opinion and must be judged by going to The Royal Oak Hurdlow.

I would love to be able to review the actual food but unfortunately after 3 hours and multiple phone calls it did not arrive until 30 minutes after we called and cancelled and started cooking....

Enjoyed a Full English breakfast served by both Charlea and Anna who were both most welcoming with lovely friendly dispositions. Breakfast was very enjoyable and served promptly. Would have scored 4.5 if there was an option. Only reason not 5 star is that the sausage was more of a standard catering one, still fine though, rather than ones I prefer. However, the bacon was very nice and did make up for it. All in all, I shall definitely come back again and thank you again for the excellent service.

It's a Brewdog what more is there to say. Great Beer and atmosphere and awesome pizzas.

Went here today and the chicken Tikka masala was the only standout dish. The rest of the food ordered were very below par and the food was missing that essential kick to ensure that scrumptious element to it hence the three starts. Do not recommend this place to anyone who wants proper Indian food.

Booked for a Friday lunch, but possibly did not need to. Our welcome was warm, the menus great and proicing very fair for the venue. Lovely decor, and a very attractive interior. We were two seniors, visiting Buxton for the Opera House, and we try to choose this restaurant every time as it is always so good. Highly recommend it, but as it can get very busy, then we do suggest that you book in advance.

starter was good, main course was absolutly awfull. Abiance was poor.Avoid this pub restaurant! wast of yur time and money, wasn't even cheap either!

Great service and really nice Suday dinner. Would visit again and highly recommend .

Been here before and again we couldn't find fault with anything, the food was perfect,the service and the staff were impeccable and so polite and friendly. I would recommend The Raj, to all if you want ambience and fantastic service. Well done to all the staff at The Raj for being so welcoming. Alex New Zealand
