Lovely takeaway, ordered in advance and was delivered at time requested. Food was delicious and hot.

Not alot of people there in the week or on a Sunday after 8pm but very nice food and ok price, highly recommend and I live local and have been a number of times so this review is not based on one visit.

I recently order food from them they were late for 40 min from expected time when I call them back , he is throwing racist comments on me , and saying that if you cant wait you dont order , i waited for extra 40min and he is blaming me back and throughing racist comments. please be careful with this kind of racist guys

Normally, Bombay bistro is my go to takeaway, as I’ve always rated excellently, and feel as if the food is freshly cooked. What went wrong last night, I ordered a chicken tikka jalfrezi, no idea what that was, thick horrible sauce, shashlick balti, which had the same thick sauce, rice was stone cold, we ordered 6 popadoms which were stale, they went in the bin. Naan breads cold. When your paying this money for a takeaway your expectation is that it’s hot and fresh. Suspicions arose when it arrived in 20 mins, which is not enough time to get from their restaurant after freshly preparing our food, disappointed BB……..

I went with friends who had raved about the place, but unfortunately it did not live up to their billing for me. I eat a lot of Indian/Bangladeshi food in various different restaurants, and the food at Bombay Bistro was decidedly average in my opinion. There was nothing exactly wrong with it (aside from my Achari dish being described as spicy on the menu and it actually being quite bland), but it was very forgettable. The service was a little chaotic as well - after confirming the order with us ("he's [our waiter] only part-time - can I check your order") they brought me the wrong main dish initially and by the time the correct dish arrived the other three people in my party had been eating for five minutes. When there are so many good Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in the county, I won't be rushing back.

Excellent food, fast delivery. Would highly recommend Bombay Bistro for both takeaways and eating at the restaurant, the staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing.

Portions small and expensive for what we received for 4 people

This was our first time doing a delivery from here. overall it was very nice and the delivery was set for 9pm and he arrived at 9pm. Everything was almost perfect. The lamb was absolutely delicious and so soft. the rice was lovely and everything arrived hot. the only thing we picked up on was there wasn't huge amounts of flavour in both the currys. which knocks 1 star off the review. but would definitely order again. many thanks.

In the past I've only used BB for takeaways but that is going to change. Delightful place. Goes without saying the food is also excellent and staff are attentive without hovering over you.

Excellent Indian, open each evening for a nice meal out. Fitted us in with no booking.

I’ve been eating Indian curry for over 40 years and I have to say this one was terrible no taste to it just a meat and sauce It all went in the bin Don’t get me wrong I’ve never heard of some of there dishes they might be better But I will stick to the rickshaw from now on

Unfortunately didn’t think the meal was great. It was bland and didn’t seem very fresh. The chips were dark like they’d been over cooked or recooked. The Rogan was very poor and not really exciting. Tikka and pakora was okay, the poppadoms were not crisp or edible. Unfortunately won’t be reordering.

Having lived 30 of my 32 years in Englands Curry Capital, Leicester City Centre, I did think when I moved to Ibstock that finding a quality indian restaurant which was on par with what I was used to would be impossible. However, it is safe to say I have landed on my feet with Bombay Bistro. I have attended and had takeaways from here a number of times in my 2 years at Ibstock and have consistently been impressed with the quality of the food, value for money and the exceptional customer service of Bo and his team. I feel very fortunate to have Bombay Bistro on the door step and would recommend anyone contemplating going to definately do so! Keep up the good work!

Went on a Friday night, didnt book but they got us in. Nothing too much trouble. Great service and food excellent and a lot of it. Great selection and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend both for eating in and takeaway.

I have friends who’ve been going to Bombay Bistro for years and I can see why. The food is amazing and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would be very wary of going to any other Indian now I’ve had a taste of heaven. The restaurant isn’t the biggest so they are often fully booked which isn’t a bad thing. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a table, you’ll be glad you did.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was tasty and served promptly. We were given a bigger table after a few minutes which was much better than a small one. Busy place so glad we booked .

We have always enjoyed a Bombay takeaway, however tonight the food was under par… lamb vindaloo, full of gristle and too chewy to finish the dish, garlic naan raw in parts and stale poppadoms on the side. All that said, the wife enjoyed the saag aloo.

Had our 58th wedding anniversary here, with our son and daughter and their spouses. The food was delicious. Our 1st time here, definitely come again. Our children had been here before and loved it. The portions were very generous. Lamb and chicken very tender. Overall a great experience. Thank you.

Food was stone cold and horrible

From the warm welcome to the food this place really hits the spot. Boe and his team can't do enough for you. Nothing is to much trouble, portions are very generous and price point is excellent. Ibstock really has a gem of a restaurant. If you are in the area Bombay Bistro will not disappoint.

Delivered 15 mins later that latest time stated in the delivery slot. But notified it was with driver over half an hour before it arrived. It’s a 10min drive. Consequently the food was all cold. Really disappointed.

We are staying locally at Pinewood lodge, we decided to order takeaway from here, the customer service is excellent, food was fabulous with very generous portions, we had the set meal for two, food was delivered super quick and was piping hot, highly recommended 👍

We had the takeaway and it was one of the best we have had. The delivery time was excellent and the food was red hot. Excellent value for money and a great menu to pick from.

I have ordered a number of takeaways recently all have been of an excellent quality. Food is always on time, cooked to perfection and is always at the correct temperature. I would recommend this restaurant for a takeaway or a sit down meal. All of the staff are polite and friendly.

The restaurant paid attention to my notes requesting mushrooms in my Madras (not vegetables) and it was one of the best Mushroom Madras curries that I've ever tasted. My husband's Patia was equally delicious. As were the naans, rice and poppadoms & pickles. It was delivered on time, by a nice, friendly guy. Top marks all round. We will be ordering again!

The food was piping hot and I was surprised to get 2 popadoms which for 1 meal is good. Also I ordered the cheese & garlic naan and it actually had cheese on it this time.

Where to start… Food was lukewarm, chicken was chewy and gristly. Sauce was bland with no flavour and the chips were still crunchy.

Chips uncooked poppadoms soft and soggy. Ordered garlic nan got garlic and cheese. Very poor.

Great food alittle late but not a problem.

Probably the worst curry I've had. Delivery took an hour and a half and food was luke warm. Ordered 2 different curry's both tasted the same only a different colour very bland with no taste or spice. Will not be ordering from there again. Very disappointed.

Ordered a takeaway form here tonight. It advertised a 45min waiting time, but I was instantly told it would be 60 mins - I could cope with this. BUT, here I am. 50 minutes AFTER the delayed time (so 110minutes in total) and the food has JUST arrived Couldn’t cancel, as I rang 53 times without an answer!!! VERY poor

I recently ordered from Bombay Bistro via Deliveroo. Ordering was easy and the food arrived quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meals although the vegetable samosas were a bit on the spicy side which was fine for me but none else could eat them so be warned! I’ll definitely be ordering from Bombay Bistro again though!

We have had 2 take always from Bombay Bistro I’m recent weeks and both have been really good. My wife doesn’t eat spicy food and the Chicken, chips and salad from the ‘English’ menu is very nice. The Indian cuisine is well cooked and authentic and always hot. Would recommend and will be back.

Delivery is often at least 40 minutes later than stated and cold. Would think twice before ordering again, especially on a Saturday.

Ordered at 5.30pm got delivered just after 7pm and was cold when arrived second time this has happened

I had to call the restaurant 3 times, food was delivered an hour late and even though I was assured it would be hot it was stone cold, was offered to be sent another meal that would be 30 minutes. Decided to bin the food and cook are own as had lost all faith in the food being delivered in 30 minutes and I informed the gentleman on the phone that I would not be placing another order with them again. I require a full refund as the service was a complete joke, food had clearly been sat in the delivery vehicle for a long time. I had got a message at 7.02 that food was on it way, we are 5 minutes away from the restaurant. In the end I actually believe this order went over the hour mark. I will be rasing a claim with Paypal if just eat dont rectify this.

Really bad. First it was late. The food (£80 order), all of it tasteless. 90% of it went into the bin. Wont be ordering again! How is this 5* rating.

Been ordering here for the last 3 weeks now and the food keeps getting better and better, saag aloo was beautiful! See you next saturday
