We stayed in Matlock for a long weekend and the Red Lion was a very welcoming pub, a lovely beer garden, great choice of ales and staff very friendly,, had a Sunday carvery and couldn’t fault it, tasted lush!!!

Go. Its great. The village, pub, its parking, its gardens, the loos, the menu, the Barnwell bitter....all just great!

We love Tough Mary's Bakehouse. The dishes are super fresh, high quality, and delicious.

Fantastic dinner as always, fantastic service, very friendly staff, very welcoming and helpful. I couldn't recommend them enough for an evening meal for any and all.

Worlds most impatient bar tender and unfortunately, I think he’s the bar manager. The atmosphere is lovely here but, he is so rude it’s put me right off ever visiting again. Such a shame because it’s a great place

First time visiting Ye Olde Red Lion yesterday but it won't be the last. Lovely quintessential English pub with good food and friendly staff. I had a set 3 course lunch and my wife had a la carte. The food was some of the best we've had in this part of Lincolnshire so we will be back. Thanks.

Great little restaurant that serves stunning food. There can be a an issue with the language barrier sometimes, but it all adds to the experience. Well worth a visit. And there's free parking around the corner, as long as it's after 6pm.

Excellent dinner for 2. Chose the set menu and it was good value for money. Too much food. Service and atmosphere very good. Would recommend and would come again.

The very best fish/chips we have found in the UK. Every time we travel there- we always stop.

First time and not our last as we have already booked for Sunday lunch later this month from starters to desserts our plates were empty . The only regret is we didn't visit sooner.
