Dined here for a friends birthday and the service from start to finish was impeccable. All the staff are so friendly and the food is without a doubt 5 star. Can’t wait to go back!

As always a lovely meal in a friendly and welcoming resturant. Our Italian of choice in the Derby area.The spice salmon pasta and meatball mains were particularly delicious .

There are so few places in town to get tasty, healthy meals cooked from scratch. This place is a hidden gem with a great atmosphere and delicious home cooked food.

A great pub, food was excellent, the staff were very friendly, a good selection of beers, and not expensive

Delicious food and big portions, which makes Chinese Snack Box well worth visiting.

We stopped here around 5pm after a round of golf, the staff were really good, service was spot on. The food all tasted amazing and I was gutted I couldn’t finish my meal as I was stuffed. Highly recommended place for families and dogs too.

Everything was excellent! The attention, the food, the place. We arrived by chance and it was a great surprise!! We were looking to eat like at home and it was. Victor, its owner, is the one who serves and cooks. You don't have to miss this beautiful place!! We will return without a doubt

Edit 7th Sept 2024 After a recent council inspection this place has a food hygiene rating of ZERO. Food is ok although nothing special. Atmosphere is not great with strange mismatched decor and very dim lighting. Staff spend all their time texting on their phones, with their backs to the tables.

A tucked away gem in Shirley. Cuisine extremely good. Friendliness of staff excellent. Service superb. Should I find myself nearby again, this is the pub and restaurant I would immediately seek out! Went there with local residents Steve and Lucy, but we were all treated like locals. A real home from home! Just go there!

Just had a fantastic meal at The Italian for my husband's birthday. All the staff were very friendly and lovely. Our food was first class! Would definitely recommend for any occasion.
