We stopped here around 5pm after a round of golf, the staff were really good, service was spot on. The food all tasted amazing and I was gutted I couldn’t finish my meal as I was stuffed. Highly recommended place for families and dogs too.

Great country pub with lovely views & helpful, friendly staff. Serving a selection of local ales.Only negative is that as a Blue Badge holder & not good walking, the last few times we have visited, the 3 disable spaces have been taken up each time by non Blue Badge people meaning I have had to park down the steep hill car park & navigate my way back up.

Stopped here for the first time today for a drink and a bite to eat and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service, drink offerings, and food were absolutely brilliant, with the added beautiful view/location. Will definitely be back!

The food is just awesome. Proper pub food done properly. The chips are just amazing. Great vegetarian option. Good drinks. The pics show just two of the veggie meals. The chef cooks great food. We stayed in a motorhome for free but we made sure to eat in there two evenings out of the three and just drinks for one evening. Great walks from the pub. Into hayfield then Kinder Scout, into New Mills and to Lantern Pike. Nice walks along the Sett Trail so traffic free.

Booked in a night at the Sycamore Inn in our campervan. Staff were friendly and professional. We loved the idea that meals could be half potions. As retirees, we no longer need big meals every night. My chill bean with rice even had homemade tortilla. My husbands mini steak pie was homemade & delicious.

It's good that humans are made as welcome as their human companions at the Sycamore.

Best eatery for a vegan and gluten free. Fantastic vegan menu options and if you are gluten free too. A real gem, place to go for a relaxing laid back atmosphere. The fire was roaring when we got there and we had a 3 course meal that was so delicious. So much choice for me being vegan and not just mains and starters I had a lovely homemade crumble. Desserts are usually non existent for vegans. Not here. The couple who own this place were so lovely and welcoming, we left feeling like friends which is exactly what their website boasts. The breakfast was so good and was perfect for an overnight stay. If you want a romantic night away and a relaxing time with friends it's perfect. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

I had a couple of visitors stay from Oz so I booked a meal last minute last night after taking my relative out for the day. I have to say, the meal was lovely, the ladies who took our orders and loved ones after us were exceptional and a credit to The Sycamore. We only live up the road and don’t get many excuses to visit but I would definitely recommend this place for a tasty and friendly night out and you’re a credit to Birch Vale. Well done. Linda x

Rooms are clean and well decorated and a nice size. Great breakfast choice and again really attentive staff. Definitely recommend.
