Hare & Hounds in High Peak

A nicely decorated local pub at the Low Leighton side of New Mills. They serve well kept Robinsons real ale and alongside a sizeable TV near the bar a projection screen can fill one half of the bar with the latest sports fixture. A fireplace stands ready for warmth in the colder months.

So welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere, karaoke great! Will definitely be back. Travelled from Rugby.

The decor is wonderful with nice art on the walls, a fireplace, and some quirky items for a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and it was all just very lovely. The selection of non alcoholic drinks were really great, and there were sanitary products in the women's toilets, which shows the level of care this place has.

Had a great time at the Hare & Hounds. We'd gone out for a works night out,the atmosphere was fab & who doesn't like a bit of karaoke. We ordered some pizzas, which I thought were a little overpriced considering they were frozen. That being said, they tasted lovely. I would definitely go again.

I seem to have walked into a shrine to Elvis. I suppose there are worse things. Fortunately I do like some Elvis. It is quite a vibrant and popular pub and the people that come in here seem quite nice. There's a pool room and a cosy side room to chat if you do want some barrier when the live music comes on. I have been a few times and seen some great bands here. Tonight it was the landlords turn ( I bet you can't guess what he sang). I am not a big pub person but this seems to have escaped the usual pub feel a bit and seems a little bit more than that. Definitely worth a visit...I'll obviously be coming back. ( Oh, the beers pretty decent too. Robinson brewery). 👍😁

Nice pub and the beer was well kept. Didn't stay long as it was absolutely packed ,which is nice to see,and the soul band they had on were great.

We called in last Sunday evening, 13th Sept. No food available (fair enough it was quite late) so the man behind the bar suggested that we go to the excellent Indian over the road to order a take-away. He said they would deliver it to the H and H. That worked well, and the same kind man even brought us plates and cutlery to where we sat outside on that warm evening. We had some drinks and thanked him for his great kindness. It was well beyond what we would have expected from him, unfortunately didn't get his name, and we were sorry not to return there as we were leaving the following morning. What great service! Visited this pub for the first time to see my mates band The Cadillacs, and found the place very friendly and welcoming, a good selection of drinks and dog friendly. Live music every Saturday. Will definitely be back.

A very well kept Robinsons pub, friendly bar staff and the usual selection of drinks. They have lots of screens, including a projector, which they show the big sporting events. They have a courtyard outside and some tables as a smoking area. Live music every weekend, and normally a good turn out
