Grand Siam Thai Restaurant in Broxtowe

This is the second time we have been and the food is amazing however the restaurant was freezing cold and we ate with our coats on, when we spoke to them it fell on deaf ears absolutely no respond Really ruined the night and will not recommend or revisit

Went with friends and family, had a pleasant meal, served at a relaxed pace. There was more than enough to eat, and reasonably priced considering how the table groaned under the weight of the food.

Excellent dinner for 2. Chose the set menu and it was good value for money. Too much food. Service and atmosphere very good. Would recommend and would come again.

Been here a number of times and both the service and the standard of food is always reliably superb. Fresh, tasty, well presented and extremely reasonably priced for that sort of quality. And the staff are just lovely. We are lucky to have such a brilliant restaurant in Eastwood!

The starter fish cakes were like rubber , the salad was not fresh and the main meal prawns were over cooked and the rice very soggy . Disappointing . Won’t go again

Fantastic food and great service. Greeted by wonderful and attentive staff who were always available but not in your face. We had the set menu A which was superb. Food was well presented and hot. We declined dessert as full but opted for another house of their house wine (both red and white) which were lovely. £70.00 for two.

This is the best in the area having tried all Thai restaurants within 30 minutes drive. Good portions (adult male!) And freshly made (rather than frozen) starters.

It's been a few years since I visited Grad Siam. I will not be leaving it so long next time. The food is still outstanding, and after eating at other local Thai Restaurants, I have to say Grand Siam is the best. You get more food for your money too, all 4 of us had a starter, main and 2 or 3 drinks each, wine, spirits and beer and the bill came to less than £26 each. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The place is always clean with a nice relaxing atmosphere. I can't wait for my return visit. Thank you

A group of four, staying in the area for just two nights, found this delightful restaurant completely by chance. All I can say is, it's a good job it's 100 miles from home or else we'd all put on so much weight!?! Service was excellent and all staff were vey friendly. Two of the group had a fixed menu, whilst the other two selected starters and mains from the menu. No-one actually completed their meals, due to the size of portions, which really upset us as we hate to waste any food.

They opened earlier for us, the food was brilliant cooked to perfection, we had 4 children with us and they ate the lot, even for the picky eaters there is alot of choice.

Absolutely fantastic. Clean and pleasant surroundings, the staff cannot do enough for you. We will be returning!

First time visiting here - the food and service were excellent. We had Pad Thai, Sweet and Sour Chicken and the platter to start. Even our fussy eating young daughter ate everything. It was perfect and very reasonably priced too.

Booked in to the Grand Siam for Valentines night and was not disappointed. We arrived on time and was quickly shown to our table. Menus arrived quickly as did a request as to if we would like a drink. Not knowing too much about Thai food we opted for the set menu for 2 at £23 per head. Do not order this menu unless you have a very large appetite or there are 4 of you. Our starter of Chicken & mushroom soup was very good. This was followed by a platter of mixed starters consisting of Prawn Toast, chicken in rice paper, 2 small spring rolls and chicken Satay sticks. The main course was a Beef dish , a prawn dish and a chicken dish and was accompanied by Noodles and egg fried rice. We had a bottle of acceptable Shiraz. We could not eat all of the food but the staff were happy enough to put the excess into food containers for us to take away. Our dogs enjoyed it the next day . All in all good value for money at around £65. Will we go again. Definately.

Brilliant staff were very attentive. The food was presented nicely and tasted fantastic! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody that likes the true authentic taste's of Thailand.

One of the best Thai meals I've had

Really nice food with some lovely flavour, pehaps a little more spice needed but thats easily sorted with a selection of chopped chilli's, really friendly staff, not very busy for such a big restaurant but still enough peopleto have an atmosphere.

Nicely appointed traditional Thai restaurant. Visited with my teenage son . Small problem with a starter that was sorted without question and a free glass of wine. Food was hot and nicely cooked with curries served on a warmer which I like. Rice portion a little small for some I suspect. One star deducted for waitresses in face masks - not their choice I imagine and not mine.

Amazing food and brilliant service! Easily the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been too! Absolutely loved the pad Thai and Sea-bass! Also, the puddings are unbelievably good! The coconut pancakes and banana fritter are unlike anything I’ve ever had anywhere!

I just wanted to write a quick review of how fantastic this restaurants takeaway service is. We are frequent visitors to Grand Siam and have been delighted during lockdown they have offered a takeaway service. The quality of the food is just as good as dining in, the flavours are amazing and the portions sizes are phenomenal. This truly is the best Thai restaurant in Nottingham and I can’t wait to get back and enjoy a meal here when lockdown is over.

Great food great atmosphere in this Thai restaurant in the heart of Eastwood. Very COVID safe so very reassuring. The food was lovely, from the duck rolls and fish cakes starters to our mains of stir fried duck, king prawns with noodles and a spicy duck dish ,all were delicious. Drinks and food were really well priced, it was about 40% less than our local Thai restaurant so real value for money. The staff were very nice, most welcoming and as with all Thai people very polite. Overall a great experience.

Checked before placing order that this restaurant can do gluten free, assured that they can and staff can talk me through things. Got there and I couldn’t have any starters other than 1 type of soup (which all had mushroom which I also can’t eat) and only a couple of stir fried options which also states on the menu that the meats contain gluten! Ended up walking out of my husbands birthday meal which I found very upsetting. First time trying to eat at a nice restaurant since moving, next time I will just travel back to Matlock whose Thai is amazing and loads of options!

Had a beautiful meal here last night, the food was outstanding. Social distancing measures in place to ensure the safety of all. The restaurant was fully booked, as a result of operating at reduced tables/ availability to comply with restrictions, therefore book to avoid disappointment. I dont usually have a desserts at a Thai restaurant, but had the bananas in coconut batter with syrup, these were truly delicious 😋

I've been to Grand Siam a few times and tonight it didn't disappoint. Despite being very busy the service and food was no less than exemplary. Fantastic service, fantastic food. It was my 13 year old daughter's first time at a Thai restaurant and its safe to say she is going to be nagging me to come back here very soon! 10/10 Thank you *pic is the mixed starter, was sooo good!

This is definitely the best Thai restaurant i know of. Its been there for over 6 years, and the food and staff have remained excellent throughout. Highly recommended, i would have given more than 5 stars if i could.

The food here is excellent. Often Thai food outside major cities is not very authentic, certainly nothing like you woul eat in Bangkok. But this restaurant is Bangkok -style and pretty authentic too. We vivsted on a Friday evening when it was quite busy , but we ddin`t have to wait long before the food arrived - all freshly cooked and quite delicious. Service is impeccable, swift & polite and the bill was very reasonable. Excellent pad Thai amonst other things..... fishcakes were great too. If you`re in the area - well worth stopping by!

Decided to try this for a take away as my kids wanted Nandos’s but I didn’t. I ordered chicken Pad Thai and chicken massaman. It was ready in time for collection and was £15.10 without rice. The massaman was a little light coloured than I would normally expect and a bit watery but the taste was ok. The pad Thai didn’t have any chilli and was completely tasteless. I had to add lemon juice and loads of salt to try and make it taste better and it still tasted awful. Probably one of the worst I’ve had. Sorry won’t be visiting this restaurant again, I will be glad when my local Thai kitchen in Long Eaton will be back from their Thai holiday and normal service is resumed.

Really nice meal.. Only 3 things to mention.. The music was awful, it was cold and I had to put my coat back on.. And all the garnish has loads of carrots, they must waste hundreds!! I asked for no carrots, but still got them. The meal was lovely and great staff and service.. A gem for Eastwood..

This really is a most understated Thai Restaurant in not the best location, but the experience is good. Visited a few times now and always come away extremely satisfied. Set menus work extremely well and the Thai wines offered, well the Red at least, really does compliment the food.I would like to keep this place a local secret but would like much more to ensure that we actually keep it going.Only slight down side is winter when the place could benefit more heating.

This is an absolutely brilliant Thai restaurant , which was completely unexpected miles from Nottingham city centre. Service is very friendly and efficient and the food ( unusually for a Thai restaurant so far from London) is very authentic. Excellent value for money . We LOVE it!

We have visited Grand Siam many times, and will certainly be back. We're aways greeted in a friendly polite manner. The food is delicious! We're so glad we have this on our doorstep. Lots of choice on the menu, so there's always something lovely to choose from. Whether you're visiting as a couple or in a larger group, you'll aways receive the best service there. The last time we went (mid week) we were the only people there, which was sad to see. We love supporting local businesses, so hope it was a rare blip for them. Tasty food in a great environment - what more could you ask for?

The best “Chinese” style restaurant in the area. I can not believe that a restaurant of this standard is so close to home. Amazing service, every plate ordered was delicious. The king prawns were some of the best. Would defiantly recommend and will be returning.

Had many meals at the Grand Siam, never had a bad one. Extensive menu and the people who work there are really friendly. Definitely would recommend, Jayne and Graham.

Lovely place for family get together

Traditionally decorated with proper white table cloths. They offer several set menu deals which look very good value. I chose my favourite dish steak in black bean sauce. My friend had the duck. For my starter I had sizzling prawns which were delicious. My friend had the hot and sour soup which it definitely was. We went at 6p.m on a Saturday evening and it was busy with families. I would recommend booking a table for Friday and Saturday night. Sunday lunch buffet looks good value.

Tuvimos un menú de banquetes vegetarianos para 3 personas y la calidad fresca y la presentación de los platos fueron excelentes. Todo estaba delicioso y simplemente magnífico. Came here for a Birthday meal, we were the only people in, staff friendly, unfortunately the sound of the microwave pinging in the background is not good!! Expensive food being warmed up in a microwave, chicken was pink!! Will not be coming back again!! Nasty expensive and over rated slop

Nice food, staff were efficient. Very busy but not unpleasantly noisy just a nice buzz.

Went in last week - after reading the reviews decided to give it a go. It was empty so we got in no problem. Ordered the mix starter. Did not like it at all!! Sesame prawn toast was practically black and Chicken satay on a stick caused me concern as the chicken was not real so was worried about our main course. Main course was pad thai and sweet and sour chicken. yuk yuk yuk. If you think this food was great then you need to head to Thailand and see that the food really does not taste like this. Staff were nice anyway. Only other thing that worried me was the pinging of what sounded like a microwave going off before our food came to us. We may have got a bad night but wont risk another £40.00 again here.

Went with three friends on a Saturday night and it was fantastic.
