Great food, super tasty. Lovely ped makam with crispy noodle. But with no atmosphere, cold and empty. Didn't have half the menu items (but didnt pointthis out), wouldn't sell a cup of jasmine tea because the electricity cost too much to make two cups. Shame, used to be a nice little place.

Small restaurants but very Thai 👍🏼😊 粉粉夠鑊氣🔥 But the second time, I want to order 3 dishes for my old parents and me,no Tom Yum no beef. So we ordered 2, but the restaurant seems not happy and come ask again and again. So we order one more. It’s fine. But because this not what we all want, so we ask for small bowl then I can share the food with my parents but they say no because of it is lunch time and lunch menu. Even no change! Only give you penny but they only accept cash. It’s fine, still have many choices in this area.

The best Thai I've ever been to. Looks like a cafe with white melamine tables. Limited drinks detection and no alcoholic drinks at all. Very small inside with 4-5 tables but the food is to die for, omg. The best tasting Thai food I have ever tasted . Perfectly cooked and seasoned and all the dishes have their own distinct taste. Also very cheap. Cost me less than £20 for starter, main and rice with 2 cans of Coke. I can't recommend this place enough but don't go there as I don't want it to get too busy . I want to keep it all to myself!

We have lived in Thailand for 7 years full time so we are super Thai food-enthusiasts and love the “real” Thai taste and spice level which Thai food really needs to be at. I spoke Thai to the chef when ordering so she knew that we wanted “ped ped” ( very spicy ) and the food was just like back in Bangkok and we thoroughly enjoyed it and it left us wanting more. A real gem of a place and will for sure be returning for more!!

In Nottingham to drop off our son at uni and met up with some friends doing likewise. The Italian I’d tried to book completely messed up our booking so we ended up using Trip Advisor to find somewhere to eat. When I saw this place I assumed that it was related to a very swanky group of restaurants with a similar name in Leeds so we were a bit surprised when we got there to find that it’s basically a cafe and takeaway. They don’t have a license and you can’t take in your own booze but I can honestly say it’s one of the best Thai meals I’ve ever had and I’m saying that having been to Thailand. Also the four of us literally stuffed ourselves and the bill was just shy of £70 and very polite and friendly service. Top stuff. We’ll be visiting again - probably with starving student kids in tow.

This restaurant is just out of Beeston main street, High Road, so you won't find it if you're just having a look around, but it's definitively worthy of wandering out of the main activity (and it's 1 min away from there anyway, not a long wander!) It's way quieter than other Beeston restaurant, but the food is delicious. The room is quite small, so don't go there with your whole rugby/football/cricket/quidditch... team (but I think you can order take away) They have no special pretention about being fancy, they just provide you yummy food for a very reasonable price and very quickly too! Despite being swift in the serving, the food tasted fresh, the two curries we tried were fragrant and yummy. I'll go back there asap, I need to try the rest of the menu! The only improvement I could suggest would be a bit of music, it was very very quiet when we went (which is far better than too noisy to my taste but well)

Very welcoming, friendly, and understanding family restaurant. You can't beat home cooking, and this is exactly what they do. We came as a large group from Sanchan's Thai (where the manager was quite rude), as they could accommodate our friend who is coeliac, and vegetarian due to allergies. Everything here is home-made: the menus, the food, the decor... It was like walking into this family's dining room and kitchen. Delicious food and very attentive staff. (Note, they only take cash payments and don't serve booze, but this wasn't a problem at all - we had a great time!)

A group of 8 of us went here after a bad experience at Sanchan's around the corner. At a first glance the restaurant looks lower quality than Sanchan's; cheaper furniture, home printed menus, no background music etc. However it certainly brings the phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover" to mind! (I should add that it was perfectly clean). The staff were very welcoming and helpful, particularly with a member of our group with special dietary requirements. All 8 of us were highly impressed with the food - incredibly tasty and very generous portions! Unfortunately they don't serve alcohol at the moment (I do enjoy a Singha with a curry) but that's not enough to detract from a 5* rating of an excellent restaurant.

We've eaten at Sukho Thai for years and it is a firm favorite. We must have tried everything on the extensive menu and I don't think you can go wrong with anything on there. The food is consistently excellent and is always served with a smile. If I were to be objective, from the outside the place doesn't look much to speak of, and inside is quite small and basic but it always has a nice vibe, particularly in the evenings when it is usually bustling with a multicultural mix of customers. If you are looking for a fine dining experience then the sister restaurant (Sanchans) owned by the same family around the corner is a much more classy affair. Sanchans is licensed whereas Sukho Thai is not for example. But if you just want to sample some honest and truly excellent Thai "Street food" then you would be hard pressed to find anything better.

We tried this restaurant for a quick take away dinner. Upon recommendation of the person taking the orders, we ordered what was said to be spicy and rich Thai dishes. After a quite a long waiting (about half an hour) we received our food boxed and in a bag. We were in a hurry and left immediately. When at home and starting our dinner, only did we realise half of the dishes we ordered are missing in the bag. We called them to inform and we had no choice but to go back and collect the rest as we have paid a considerable amount for those not received. But the person did not seem to care or did not even seem to know that they have some dishes prepared and not returned to the customer there, and the restaurant was not busy at all at the time we ordered. We however, went back to collect (about a 15 minute journey) and received the rest of our order, but disappointingly without any apology or courtesy. Not to mention, once we tried our dinner, the supposedly spicy fish dish was so bland and the Thai curries and egg rice were so mediocre. This restaurant used to have a good reputation sometime ago (word of mouth), although this was the first time we tried it as a takeaway. For eating in, it may not be the best in town, as there are a few other Thai places that have good seating space with nice food. I am very disappointed with the food and the service (the courtesy to the customers) of this restaurant, and cannot recommend it for takeaways.

Came here last night after being told that sanchans was full.. I am assuming they are owned by the same person? As the person on the phone told me "they serve the same food as us just cheaper" 🤔 3 members of our family are vegetarian.. So, after reading the "vegetarian" section.. 2 of us ordered from there. My mum asked if the "Pad Thai" could be made vegetarian .. As it says on the menu you can add chicken ... The lady said ovcourse.. No problem & even offered the option of tofu! Sounded great! I (luckily!!) double checked and said.. We don't eat meat .. Or fish .. So is that still ok for the pad Thai? She said yes ovcourse! 5 minutes later, she came back and said the "Pad Thai" sauce had fish in it.. Is this ok? Obviously we said no as we are vegetarian, so my mum ordered a meal from the "vegetarian" section... This is where the confusion started... She said.. "They have fish in too" 😳 I said no, it can't as its in the "VEGETARIAN" section.. Fish is an animal isn't it? So .. Is all the food .. In the vegetarian section cooked with fish? She just started to laugh nervously and basically didn't know what to say to me. I think this is absolutely disgusting.. As it is falsely advertising the food.. I have eaten before at sanchans because of there great vegi options .. So I will be contacting them to find out if there the same?? There's one thing labelling a section in the menu " vegetable dishes" .. There's another labelling them as "vegetarian" I am so shocked.. Also at the fact that the lady kept going back and forth into the kitchen to ask.. It seems like she didn't know what was in the food .. And even more shocking .. She told us " a lot of the sauces come pre- made .. So we just don't know.. " She said the chilli sauce defiantly contains fish 😳 I don't eat meat for ethical reasons, but imagine if someone had an allergy? Really disgusted with the false advertising & lack of knowledge.. The lady agreed with me when I asked her if a fish was an animal??.. So.. We left... Very confused and hungry!!!

Don't be put off by the low-key exterior - this little gem offers delicious food in a friendly café setting. We started by sharing tempura vegetables and a mixed platter; the batters and parcels were light and crisp, and the fillings were juicy and flavoursome. Then we had three chicken dishes: green curry, plum sauce and peanut sauce, with coconut rice and egg fried rice. Everything was delicious, but the star of the show was the chicken in peanut sauce - it took some serious negotiation to decide who got the last bit. We paid £42 for two starters, three mains, three rices and three soft drinks, and felt this was very good value.

Whilst Sukhothai might look like a student cafe (and probably by and large is) the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Full of flavour and very generous portions - can't fault the menu or the hardworking chef and waiting staff. IIt is quite small and seating is limited. If you can get over the interior decor you're in for a treat.

The cafe has nothing attractive about its appearance but you should not be fooled because it has one of the tastiest meals in nottingham. The other thai (in fron of sainsburys) is shinier more goodlooking but definitely is nothing in taste with muxh more expensive prices compared to sukothai. Love it everytime and takeouts are cheaper for your interest :).

The thai food served is extremely good and the atmosphere is so nice. I strongly suggest this place (and Green Curry with coconut milk to start with)

I am a huge fan of Thai food and this was just incredible. The express menu is just £5, the owners and young lad who serves are all so nice, and the taste is just awesome. I always get the red curry, it's the best I've ever tasted.

Our favourite Thai restaurant when living in Beeston. Usually get takeaways and never been disappointed. Fast to prepare the food and is always fresh with friendly staff and great value. Restaurant is on the small side so be prepared to be cosy if you head there at bust times

I adore this Thai cafe & restaurant, Everything on the menu is authentic fresh, flavoursome and i am addicted to Yum Woon- Sen with minced pork, great as a starter to share,I really look forward to eating there, Whenever i am driving through Beeston i always check that they are still there, BRILLIANT news they are expanding at another site in Beeston not to far from this building but are keeping this site as well, I think they should be up and running very soon.

Delicious authentic food at a reasonable price, always busy even in the week so book ahead. Quite small but don't be put off, it just means that all the food is fresh to order!

I love this little restaurant. It's like a little cafe/canteen style place, with poor furnishings, but I really don't care about that because the food is absolutely great! The prices are low and the food is way above standard. I've been to many restaurants around Nottingham that focus their efforts on service, atmosphere and posh furnishings and yet serve food that I don't even want to pay for! This place is a little gem that is there for food lovers, not those who want a fancy restaurant to eat in. I recommend the chicken peanut curry, it's yum!

Sanchan’s is the best kept secret in Beeston. Have gone twice now and the atmosphere and kind service is unrivalled, and the food is top quality and very generously portioned. Excited to return again

The starter fish cakes were like rubber , the salad was not fresh and the main meal prawns were over cooked and the rice very soggy . Disappointing . Won’t go again
