The food was good but small portions.Service average, place was empty but we still couldn't choose better tables near the window only because they were 4 seater table but nobody was there and it was still empty when we were leaving.Some people walked away after receiving not the best service.I have invited my partner for his birthday dinner and on the way back home we stopped at take away place as he was still hungry. £80 dinner with starters with teas only it's over priced .

Excellent food, well presented and good prices. Would recommend 100%. Small family run, best to book, but it is possible to just turn up and wait.

Great cafe in a perfect location for Bury At Edmunds. Food and drink is great quality and always served with warmth and welcome. The scotch egg is a stand out and the sweet treats homemade and delightful.

Would have been 5 stars but please clean using something other than what you're currently using. The smell was somewhat off-putting.

Great choice of beers. Beer garden is brilliant.

Great coffee, good service, and a lovely building, which I think always adds to the occasion. Loads or room upstairs if the ground floor is busy!

I booked lunch for Christmas Eve for my family. The service was awful, the food was dry and we waited so long to be even asked about desert we ended giving up and left.

Always try to make a point of having lunch at this particular Thai restaurant, it’s the best place for authentic Thai cuisine served by very attentive and friendly owners of the place, I love the Panang curry as it is perfect every time 😋 Thank you.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We had a lovely meal last night for my mothers birthday. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. They brought out a birthday cake and sang for my mother, and even offered her a free drink at the end. Parking, additionally, was free and right outside the restaurant. We will be back!

Warm welcome and lovely meal. We spent a lovely lunchtime at the star and really enjoyed our meal. The pub has a lovely welcoming atmosphere made even better by a family celebrating ‘nan’s 70th’ on the next table. My beer battered haddock was the freshest, largest imaginable and my wife’s liver and bacon very well presented and extremely tasty. Apart from our Christmas dinner one of the best meals we’ve had in the Stortford area for ages. Thank you -a real star!

Went there for anniversary celebration as really fancied an Italian pizza. Unfortunately it was not a handmade dough and it wasn’t cooked when it arrived. Dough was too thick and certainly wasn’t crispy. Dough was uneditable on mine . It certainly was disappointing so unfortunately I’ll not be returning or recommending it to anyone else who wants an Italian pizza.

Contrary to other reviews, the place is in fact _not_ dog friendly
