Very weird vibes, sandwich was okay but staff were weirdly confused by the order (something on their menu - roasted veg and hummus sandwich) and it took a great deal of effort to convey the order. Small offerings of hummus and only peppers. Very quiet, quite clean, just felt very awkward.

Beautiful building, calm atmosphere, incredibly kind staff. Plenty of space in cafe but it's an old listed building with nowhere they could put a ramp in. steps to entrance and toilets.

The World Peace Cafe is delightfully different to the usual fare served in Keighley. It’s entirely vegetarian with some vegan options. The regular menu is great, typically with a choice of two tasty soups. All of the food is prepared by the staff but, as some have mentioned, some of it is made in batches and frozen to keep it fresh. The food is delicious and is good value. The specials menu adds a few (regularly changing) veggie favourites too. The people are extremely friendly. Service can be a little slower when the cafe is very busy, but it’s a pleasant enough environment to wait in. I’m a regular here and don’t see that changing. Keep up the good work WPC!

Highly recommend the World Peace cafe situated in the heart of Keighley. Situated opposite the bus station it’s a well located peaceful haven in the busy town centre. All food I’ve enjoyed there has been tasty & served with a smile. And the red lentil & coconut soup is sublime! The menu is fully vegetarian or vegan & all food is homemade. The cafe also accommodate intolerances & allergies to a very high standard. There are books & magazines to read should you wish and there’s also a gift area offering books, candles, incense and cards. To the back of the cafe there is a family type room with a snug feel to it. Comfy couches & tables make for an ambient visit plus there’s a well stocked book shelf offering donated books on sale for a small contribution. Each time I visit I feel calm & well and am made to feel like a welcomed friend. Thank you World Peace Cafe ☮️

The World Peace Cafe is a wonderful place for a brew and/or a meal. We had the vegan panini and they were amazing. Toasted perfectly with humus and red peppers. They were fantastic. The cafe has two bookshelves of books for sale. One is in the adjacent room and they are wide range of used books. The new books are in the main room. They are books on Buddhism. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The cafe is run by volunteers. The World Peace Cafe is a great place to check out with delicious food.

Went today with a friend, was my first time and dont think I will be likely to return. When I ordered my food it was but down wrong so i was charged for what they put down. This was cheaper than what i asked for. I wanted a toastie but just got a sandwich. Am not particularly a fan of cheese so if I eat it I only ever have melted cheese. My friend is a vegetarian so we thought it would be a nice change. Not much choice on the menu to pick from either, and I felt completely out of my comfort zone in there and felt like I couldn't explain that I had asked for a toastie rather than a sandwich.

Very disappointing first trip to the World Peace Cafe for lunch - the "specials" as it turns out are small frozen microwave ready meals, with a handful of supermarket salad from a bag. Not at all what I'd expect from a vegetarian cafe. Drinks were okay and it had a pleasant atmosphere.

Never been before but my friend recommended it and we met there for lunch yesterday. It was really pleasant with the sun streaming in through the window and we enjoyed a lovely lunch of soup and a panini. It is obviously a popular place as there was a constant stream of customers. The staff are volunteers and I was talking to the gentleman in charge who told me the money raised goes towards the running of the building. Will happily go again.

What a shame, the world peace café has decided to put their prices up in line with Costa!! what they need to remember is that they are not paying out on 10 + salaries as ALL the staff at the world peace café VOLUNTEER!!!!!! Does it really have to be run as a large profit making establishment, and not more as a community service venture which is more than simply making as much money as possible? A lot of people I have encouraged to go will not now be able to visit as they have not got a lot of money, but valued the spiritual experience and the chance to meditate and calm and de clutter from every day life and re charge vital batteries. The soup and serenity was excellent, and £4 was ample to pay, but now it is £4.50 and too expensive for an area like Keighley. If it was in Harrogate or Ilkley then you can expect these prices, but not in this area so please re think what you are about!!!!

My partner and I have been here many times for the excellent vegetarian food, and amazing cakes. It really is a gem and the building inside is so beautiful, we were told by staff how it was lovingly restored and turned into the Buddhist centre and cafe that it is today. There is some lovely artwork from local artists in the cafe too, which is ever-changing. The volunteers are normally very helpful and friendly, frequently someone new is being trained alongside more experienced staff. On our last visit we did have some trouble getting a good coffee, as we ordered a large (for 2) and the staff hadn't put enough ground coffee in- it looked like weak tea. However when I asked for it to be put right, the gentleman in charge seemed irritated, he asked me if I'd pressed the plunger down properly and replaced the large cafetiere with a mug-sized one and put far too much coffee in; the coffee poured out of it was full of grounds. By then I couldn't be bothered to complain twice, so we finished our lovely meal and left. I would recommend the volunteer who dealt with us might need some support with his customer service skills.
