Coffee#1 in Derby

Have become something of a regular here. The coffee is very good and the Welsh cakes are delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It is a great addition to Derby city centre.

First time visiting here after walking past it quite a bit. A great choice of toasties and cake on offer. Lovely and roomy café too. Staff were very helpful. Will definitely be making this my regular stop when in Derby from now on.

We pop in often. They do great coffee here – thick and strong. Great place for people watching. Not eaten here yet but the cakes, pastries and sandwiches look good. Maybe some low carb alternatives would be good. Bacon and egg tarts, for example? Only marked down (selfishly) due to there being plenty of space for prams and pushchairs and therefore... Squawking small things – that can spoil the atmosphere. But this means there's plenty of space for wheelchairs and mobility scooters and there's level access through wide doors. And there's an accessible loo.

Lovely, quaint and peaceful coffee shop in central Derby. Ideal for socialising or getting some work done. The coffee was delicious and the meal was half price, the staff were polite and I would definitely visit again.

Calm atmosphere excellent service

Taken by our daughter who is at the University, will definitely be back again next time we visit.

Great location, lovely decor and atmosphere, spacious, clean, great service and lovely coffee and food - the Manager Ian is really friendly as are his staff!

I never received a large part of order I made from Just eat. I tried contacting the head office. Call and emails. I was told it was being looked into. I would get a refund ect. I waited and heard nothing. I contacted them today. Was told they can’t help me as it was through just eat. It was through them yes, but it’s the store then sold it. And didn’t give me the full order. It may seem a little amount but £24 on coffee is extremely expensive and I wanted a treat. I can’t afford to be throwing money out the window. Not being helped at all by this company. And when trying to contact the derby store that can actually vouch for the fact I never areceived my order! But the number is wrong on Google on your website or with number i was given by head office. This is ridiculous! The coffee was lovely. Buy service that I’ve received is beyond terrible.if you feel you could treat yourself. Don’t bother. I’m chasing £24 this is crazy! So disappointed and highly embarrassing. I’m disabled and can’t walk to the store. Which makes this all so much worse

Would love to review properly but ordered through Uber, order never arrived and no phone number available to ring to see if it was ever sent, so unfortunately no chance to actually try the drinks or food.

So relaxing you are not rushed once you have finished your drink staff brilliant they chat to you whilst making your drink

Calm and quiet place. Coffee is strong flavored, which is amazing. I ordered lemon cake , very tasty. The waiter was friendly and place was tidy and clean. Good for a calm morning or a working office.

Food, service, and atmosphere 👌 great tasting coffee, as smooth as it is strong, beautifully presented in proper coffee mugs. Very comfortable chairs and adequate amount of tables. They even how power sockets, something with is getting rare now. Fantastic place, I will be back again.

Great coffee shop, now one of my favourites in Derby

Omg this place is a treasure. Had the teacakes, matcha latte and a walnut poppy seed loaf. The teacakes were big and nice. The matcha was nice and warm and enough matcha in it. The loaf cake was so nice. The seating so comfy and the cafe was clean

This could be my new favourite coffee shop. The chap that has served me each time I've been in has been amazing. This may sound like a tiny little thing, but I think it's a sign of a good coffee shop - He checked and offered to put sugar in my coffee while making it. Very very few Baristas offer to do this and I don't like to ask. It's a really nice touch and saves me mixing up the drink.

Okay so I know this is a chain and usually I avoid chains and /or don't bother with a review but I really had to because this highly exceeded my expectations! The pastry was SO GOOD they heated it up for me, kindly and it was all gooey and chocolately and reminded me of pain au chocolat on the beach in Greece when I was a child and I haven't had that experience with any other vegan pastry in my 16 years of being vegan hahaha. Highly recommend! The staff were kind too and lots of morning sunshine to sit in here.

Wonderful new coffee shop. Went recently with my family. Friendly staff, clean shop and toilets. Food and drinks were great. Will be back very soon.

Staff have become complacent, quite abrupt and rude...They've whacked up the music far too loud for their benefit not the customers..You can't even have a conversation

Nice coffee shop although the really rude male member of staff has made me not want return. He should really learn customer service skills on how to speak to people.

Visited on the 14/04/24 @ around 1pm. Been wanting to visit this coffee shop since it opened as it is very close to my home but when I got there with my partner, the male staff was very curt and rude. It’s really put me off ever coming back. Drink was fine. I had a muffin which was nice. Music was chill. Just wish staff weren’t so rude then I probably would’ve liked this place.

Best coffee in Derby. Good location with lots of room round the tables. Good food as well.

Nice coffee shop and being literally minutes away from the busier streets means lots more room. Friendly staff, felt it could have a bit more atmosphere and quirkyness to it but would go again

Such a lovely new café in Derby. The coffee is amazing! Lovely choice of cakes too. It's really relaxing, a lot of space and nice decor. I've been in a few times and find the staff really friendly too. A new fave place to visit when I'm in town!

The chocolate chip cookies are my go to and all the staff here are so friendly!

Worth a visit. New venture with nice range of savoury snacks and naughty cakes(!) and excellent coffee. Relaxed atmosphere with a mix of seating (it could have been fuller; roadworks outside probably a factor there).

A newly opened cafe , so as you would expect it was spotlessly clean. Very pleasant décor with a pleasing nod to Derbys history . Couldn't have had a better greeting on entering which was extended a few minutes later when the young man took time to come and have a natter , mainly about the company but also about his history in the business (it was early so they weren't busy) . All in all a very pleasant half hour, only had coffee and toast, very nice , so can't comment about the menu .
