Was a superb restaurant, I met Anto before he opened , he was in Liverpool looking for a location and found Rodney st .. unfortunately it has had to close , not sure why , it's a shame , I hope they sort out the staff if wages are owed, sad to see a nice place close times are difficult..much bigger restaurants than this have closed there doors. Hope the staff find jobs , Anton I hope you are ok , it's a tuff time ,

A lovely traditional Italian restaurant, very homely. Excellent food - we were just there for lunch and the lunch menu is fantastic value for money. In the party of 4 two had lasagne, really good, one had the carbonara which was also delicious, and one had a calzone, both base and filling were very good. Friendly service. All round an excellent experience.

Excellent place to stay, myself and my partner had a lovely stay here. Bed very comfortable and the room felt very homely, the staff were nice and welcoming. The only negative (and this might be personal preference) was the sliding door for the bathroom, there was no privacy due to this door design, if I can leave any feedback for the hotel it would be to change these doors for lockable ones but other than that everything was exceptional and we were made to feel very welcome! 10/10

It was my birthday, and I’d been here once before—the food was good, the vibes were right, and I thought, why not relive the magic? This time, however, we strolled in on a Sunday to find the place emptier than my gym membership in February. A couple of tables were occupied, the staff were polite, and hope was still alive. I ordered a rack of ribs (among other items for the family feast). The kids were buzzing, the wife was smiling, and then... my ribs arrived. A lonely rack of meat on a plate, completely naked. No veggies, no garnish—just ribs on porcelain, like some avant-garde food art exhibit. First impression? About as exciting as a soggy birthday balloon. But hold on, it gets worse. The BBQ sauce—homemade, the waitress proudly informed me—was a tangy apocalypse. Overly sharp, aggressively sour, and apparently, sugar had been barred entry at the sauce-making stage. Sweetness? Nowhere to be found. It tasted like someone had an argument with vinegar and poured their feelings onto my ribs. I considered saying something to the waitress but realized I’d already emotionally checked out. I stared at my ribs, the ribs stared back, and we both knew this wasn’t going to work. I left them half-eaten—which, for spare ribs, is basically a crime. Normally, ribs aren’t about the quantity of meat; they’re about the experience. This experience, though? A disappointing, saucy tragedy. Happy birthday to me, I guess.

Ended up here by chance and what a nice surprise! We stocked to the polish menu and the food was delicious. Portions are not huge but filling. Pierogi are great! Definitely a nice spot. The staff is helpful and full of attention to details!

This is a lovely place to go, the food is good and the staff are friendly, BUT I feel that I will not go again until something is done to make the entrance more accessible, it is impossible for me to open the door, it never used to be like it, such a shame that it isn’t made a priority to fix it.

The pub itself is quite cosy. Now I'm not exaggerating when I say this, but it's the worst Roast dinner my family and I have ever had. Processed rubbish. Tough beef. Raw broccoli, the cauliflower cheese was horrendously watery and bland (you forgot the cheese) Seated in front of football fans watching the match. No warning of that when booking. Never again. Poor food.

The only bar in town that says they “Serve Great Cocktails” but doesn’t serve any cocktails EXCEPT an espresso martini. Laughable 🤣😂🤣😂Was told by the owner to a group of us, that the Tavern was not a cocktail bar.
