We went to a Wedding party at the Park Gate - what a fantastic place. The staff are hard working and friendly. Their function room is brilliant- a good size and plenty of outdoor space too with lots for children to do. We will definitely be calling in for a drink.

Hired the large room for a birthday party. Great sized room easily held 50 people with plenty of room for more. Large space for dancing too. If you went in the warmer months there is a outside area adjoined to the room which would be lovely in the sunshine. Great location and has its own disco lights ! We didn’t hire a DJ as we were able to plug into the pubs speakers which was great. Paid a bit extra to keep the music going till 12 which was well worth it. Bar staff worked hard and kept the drinks flowing. Great night.

We decorated how we wanted to, brought a DJ and caterer with no issues. The venue it’s self is great, lots of space with different areas to choose from.

We absolutely loved every second of our daughter’s Christening day and The Park Gate Inn was the perfect place. Dawn was brilliant in the run up and helped us to hire a soft play and let us in early to put up some decorations. The staff is fantastic and the location is just excellent - the marquee attached the pub is great protection from wind and rain whilst also offering that ‘outdoor’ feel and the older kids loved the outdoor play area. Thank you so much!

fabulous pub who meet our needs following lockdown. we needed a venue for a wake. they have a fab system for purchasing your drinks and this with maintaining social distancing. inside and outside seating again maintained social distancing. outside area is big and undercover as well as a big garden for sunny days. we can vouch for the under cover area as waterproof as it was tipping down. we also had food which again the owners Chris and Dawn were fab and meet our needs at a very reasonable price. the food was excellent and there was plenty off it which was good as most of the group were bikers. if you are looking for a venue which is safe regarding covid-19 with good owners, staff, reasonable prices drinks and good food this is your pub. and it also has a big car park. our vist was on the 7th July 2020

I popped into the Park Gate Sunday 5th July, the first time since lockdown. I was dubious about visiting any pub and chose the Park gate to support Chris and Dawn (the owners) I knew they would have taken every precaution to ensure their customers health safety was put first. On arrival it was clear that every measure been taken to adhere to the governments guidance for to pub to be able to reopen. I felt extremely comfortable, everybody was mindful and respectful of keeping to the social distancing rules. The signage, space and layout of the pub had been thought out to ensure everybody had enough room and could relax and enjoy their visit.

We had not been to the Park Gate for many years and to be honest we wont be going again. We were out walking and stopped for a pint and a snack. I asked for a snack and was told we don't do food despite this line in their website "Our cozy bar is perfect for a quiet pint and a cheese and onion cob by the fire" and there was only one beer available on the day. The place was also a mess inside and out and to be honest we were glad to leave. "enjoy a drink and a freshly made cob after walking up a thirst!" (from their website again) plainly this did not happen and never will What a joke!

Ok firstly let me put it out there that the pub itself is in a great location and we enjoyed most of our night. Had my sister in laws 40th birthday party here as we loved the location and knew there was a nice safe garden/play area for the kids. After an hour of being outside we had 2 of the kids come in with dog mess down their smart clothes (obviously for the occasion) felt very disappointed in this that if the staff knew there was to be a function this surely should of been taken care of....of course now we are in the month of June (summer) so we didn’t expect the garden to have the grass so long that it was halfway up your legs. Anyway we got on with the night only to come to 11pm just when the night was getting in full swing to be told by the only barman that the music had to be shut off (11pm on a Saturday night !!) the worst part about this was the fact that when we agreed to hire the room we were told by the landlady that they were going to get an extension so that this wouldn’t be a problem. Safe to say it wasn’t the case and it ruined the evening.....overall could be a beautiful pub with a bit more time, care & effort put in....Seems like the place would benefit from a massive overhaul as it has so so much potential

From the outside it did not look that inviting but once inside you realise this is an excellent pub serving a very good range of real ales with knowledge and passion. Okay, my hand was forced. My local is closed for a refit. So I walked to the park gate (2.6 miles) and I liked it. Quite simply, it's an ale drinkers dream. 10 pumps with 7 beers available... on a Tuesday! I only had time to have two but they were well kept and tasted as expected. The added bonus was that the ales were not mainstream brews but on the whole independent breweries. I will visit again soon but turn the Muzak down a bit please.

Having picked up a copy of the Worcestershire CAMRA publication in Feckenham we read that the Park Gate Inn was now fully 'back up and running' as a pub / restaurant so decided to take a walk up to check the place out. Within minutes of being in there we felt like 'regulars', great welcome and hospitality from both staff and customers and a great array of very well kept Real Ales to suit every palate. We revisited the following Friday evening and the welcome was equally as good and some very good live entertainment.Haven't eaten here yet but the Sunday Roasts served look very good and reasonably priced. Hard to give this pub/restaurant a good or bad review S visited here with a group of friends and pre-ordered from their set Christmas menu and after one persons food not being cooked as it was forgotten, then when it was cooked (the rest of us were now eating our meals, 2 of which were sent back as they were not hot enough) then the meal came out again, this time it was undercooked and raw, sent back again, still not right - a different meal was chosen from the menu and came out cold in the middle, obviously from being frozen! Gave up in the end. No serving spoons in the vegetable dishes, so much to my personal horror people were putting their vegetables on their plates using their eating forks. Tables not laid with appropriate utensils for 3 course meal - very disappointing! On a positive note the bar area was good, and the duo playing live were fantastic so we enjoyed the rest of the evening.

We ahve been to the Agrafort when it has been excellent, and we have been extremely poor, so what's the average? At the last visit, we waited 2 hours form the starter to the main course, yes 2 HOURS!!!!!!!!! As it was a family meal and everyone wanted to be pleasant and no one wanted to be negative, we waited patiently. Only afterwards were we offered a free round of drinks to compensate for the apallign service, but they knew we had transport booked at 11pm, and the offer only came at 2 minutes too, I think therefore it was a fairly hollow offer. We used to go regularly, but now, I honestly don't think we will.

After seeing the excellent reviews on TA, I was disappointed overall. The restaurant itself is lacking any atmosphere and was cold and stark. I didn't have a starter but one of my friends had onion bhajis and because the portion was large, I tried one. Very nice - crisp, light and flavoursome.I had a medium chicken balti for my main. It lacked flavour and wasn't hot (temperature-wise). My companions enjoyed their meals however, so not all bad, but with so much choice in the area, I wouldn't return.

We are working our way through the local bromsgrove 'curry houses' . Plus we like Indian food and this offers that . Our first time here . This is a bit more. It wasn't cold , they have listened to what has been said and that has been sorted . The food was excellent just what we wanted . It may seem the portions look small but compared to your bog standard place ten pints and a curry perhaps it might . But for once nothing wasted . if you like to taste your food this was just right . Mains great , accompaniments , nan and rice great . Overall price totally rest able with wine and beer . Service great but you would expect that . We received some Groupon Vouchers as a birthday present to dine at the Agra Fort. It is a little way out of Bromsgrove on the Kidderminster Road so you need a duty driver. The only problem with the food was that my wife asked for the prawns to have their shell removed, and they came with shell on. She decided to persevere despte the fact that the waiter offerred to remove them. The prawns were delicious, as were the starters, mains and desserts. We were made very welcome and the service was attentive without being overbearing. On a cold winter's night the heating was via an open fire and some portable gas heaters. There were seats near the door which were in a draft, so all in all we found the temperature distinctly chilly. The bill was presented correctly with all "gift" items correctly accounted for. Spur of the moment meal out, looked at curry restaurants near me fell upon the Agrafort. The restaurant is a converted public house on the outskirts of Bromsgrove, the decor is very nice as you enter the mix of spices greet you as well as the smell of a open fire. We opted for three starters onion barg, chicken packs and the crab, all of which were served piping hot and on a central serving plate which was a nice touch. I couldn't make my mind up for the main either naga chicken or jalfrezi, the waiter suggested half and half so best of both worlds I wasn't disappointed, both were fantastic, my wife and son shared a tikka karihai which again was fantastic. The nan bread was one of best I've had you could tell it was freshly made straight out the oven. This was the first visit it certainly won't be the last... Well worth a visit

Staff were friendly and helpful. They were happy to explain the menu and we were assured that if we ordered something and did not like it, we could send it back and have a replacement dish. Went on a Groupon voucher early on a saturday evening. The staff were very welcoming and very friendly. Starters and main courses were both excellent. They have a few main courses that I haven't come across before so I tried one and wasn't disappointed. I'd thoroughly recommend this restaurant to Indian cuisine lovers.

Just back from agra fort. First visit for us and did it on a groupon deal but will definitely go back there. Food was fresh, hot and delicious and the customer service was excellent. We were the first customers there at 5.30 but it quickly filled up with customers a lot who seemed like they were regular visitors too. Highly recommend.

The food in this restaurant is fantastic, as are the staff. If you want a little less heat, or a different flavour enhanced, just ask. All the food is freshly cooked and they will try their best to provide you with exactly what you want. It is without doubt the best Indian restaurant for miles.

Went on a Groupon deal on Sunday evening. The restaraunt is a little hidden off the main road and not many people were eating. We were given a table by the window with nice views over the fields. We had a 2 course meals and everything was cooked to perfection and the service was friendly and efficient. Would reccomend.

I've been visiting Agra Fort since it opened. Despite living a two minute walk from Bromsgrove High Street (And all the Indian restaurants I have to choose from there) I walk the 4.6 mile round trip to Agra Fort every now and again for one reason - it's the best Indian food I can find. I would go more often were it not for the fact it's licensed - I will get through a bottle of wine during my meal and this adds roughly £15-£17 to the total. That is one of only two things I don't love about the place, the other being that the mint sauce /raita is a tiny bit watery but I'm really nitpicking now. As for service, it is truly exceptional - they even remember my name. On my last visit the wine wasn't quite chilled enough for me - no problem, a small glass was poured and the bottle was then put in the freezer for a while. Twenty minutes later it came back, perfect temperature. Small things I know but it's the thought, and the willingness to do it that is the difference. To top it all, on my last visit (Saturday 16th August), I was given a lift back to Bromsgrove - not because a delivery was going that way, just because they value my custom. Beat that! Go to Agra Fort - I'd hate to see it change hands or close down.

We had a great meal here on 22nd Aug. It was a relaxed atmosphere with the pace of the food being served was just right! Not too slow and not a rush to get you out and the next customer in!The food was lovely and the variety to chose from was pretty wide. It was just so relaxing to have an evening meal watching the combined harvester harvesting the neighbouring field!

We visited Agrafort on August 18th, using a groupon that I had actually bought by accident. Well I'm so glad I did, what a superb find, as we had no idea this restaurant existed. On arrival the waiter was friendly and helpful. Some of our party doesn't eat Indian very often so the waiter advised us on some great dishes to meet our tastes. The food arrived, and it was presented so wonderfully, and was a great cooking hot temperature. This food is clearly made from scratch, and the flavours are immensely good. I've eaten alot of Indian dishes in my time, but none have ever tasted as good as they did at this place. Not one of us left a scrap of food on our plate. I'm so glad we found this gem, and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you!!

My wife and I have been to some of the best (and worst) Indian restaurants in London and were very impressed with this place. The food was very good as was the service. Most impressive though was Ali who takes a lot of pride in his family's business. He came across as very entrepreneurial whilst he spent time talking to us about their business. He spent time with all the tables and this showed his commitment to customer satisfaction. One thing to note is that they will pick up and drop off any customer within Bromsgrove including guests at the nearby Holiday Inn. Just one of his ideas to keep customers happy. Ali - Well done to you and your team, we will visit again.

Went to Agra Fort for the first time on Saturday 9th August 2014 on a Groupon. As someone who has eaten at the first balti restaurant in Birmingham - The Paris restaurant opened in the 1950's - sadly closed now, I would not say I am an expert, but I know what I like. For over 15yrs I have tried various Indian restaurants seeking a tinge of authenticity but sadly failing until we found the Agra Fort. None of that standard sauce based slop you get these days, but a freshly cooked curry especially made for you. I started with a sheekh kebab the flavours of which I have not tasted for years. Then the Bombay Style Naga although Madras / Vindaloo heat, full of taste and no Ghandi's revenge the next day either - well you know what I mean!I cannot fault the restaurant - friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, very reasonable prices and a gem of authenticity. Thanks for a lovely experience - will be back soon!

The friendly faces that greeted us on arrival were so accommodating that they arranged a private table outside on the decking where we could have drinks and enjoy the good weather. The drinks were bought to us outside and we ordered our food there too and it was made clear that we could come in at our leisure and begin our meal. Starters and main meal were bursting with flavour and were an exact match for the description on the menu, not always the case in other restaurants. Service was excellent throughout - attentive but didn't linger too long so as to interrupt our rare meal alone together without kids! We recommend you try it soon if you've not been already!

Moved to bromsgrove about 6 months ago and as I love my indian curries been looming for a very good indian restaurant where I could call my local. After contemplating much decided to give agrafort a go and boy was I impressed. This restaurant is a bit hidden off the main road but once you find it and step into the place, along with the scenery you just think wow. Ample space to move around in and modern decor.Once seated we were greeted accordingly and the waiters were very helpful when orderingThe food was brilliant but what I liked the most is everything is made to order, you can taste the freshness in each bite. All in all the experience was brilliant and I would highly recommend this place as it ticks all the boxes of what a modern indian restaurant should be.Keep up the good work and food agrafort

Went on a groupon deal and must say the food was excellent. Service was great, and lovely location. Definitely go back. Couldn't comment on the atmosphere as there was only us, one other couple and a table of very raucous women, one with the most annoying cackle ever, which although not the restaurant's fault did somewhat taint what would have been a very pleasant evening. First class otherwise.

This was our first time and it did not disappoint. Our shared starter of prawn puree, lightly marinated white fish and salmon tikka was succulent and delicious, followed by mains of Karahi Chicken and a beef and chicken combination dish which were imaginatively spiced.Service was immaculate and all staff were very friendly.Outside, there were views of rolling countryside. The manager even gave us a lift home afterwards!

Have past this place for months and at long last we popped in, and now wish we had done it before. I had a prawn purée which was served up with the twist of looking like top star food and not just the normal Indian food expected. I ordered garlic chilli chicken a favourite of mine. I was not disappointed, the flavour was just perfect, with plenty of well cooked garlic and chilli. It's so nice to enjoy this dish and finish without being left with a burning mouth because the chilli has not been cooked out. This chef not only cooks the food well but understands how to deliver great enjoyable flavour. My husband had a Tava chicken starter which we have not seen on a menu before and it was very good, he then had a prawn batli, which was excellent. The service was excellent and we will be going back again.

Such a shame. Everything started well, a quiet Monday night and only a few other diners inside the restaurant. We were seated immediately and orders taken, the restaurant is an old pub which still has a fair bit of space unused and the views over the fields are lovely. Tables, cutlery and everything else inside was great.I tend to get a bit annoyed with only 'Cobra' on offer for an Indian beer - and that's all they had so we had 2 bottles each during the course of our meal. The food was really nice - a good choice of fish, traditional dishes and some chefs specials that sounded lovely. Everything was 'fusion' style and we were politely asked if we were ready for the next course. As the restaurant emptied there were just ourselves and another couple left who had only recently ordered. Our mains were taken away, the hot towel thing done and that was it - we were left alone then as we had finished our drinks and contemplated dessert but no one came!. The staff all disappeared as the restaurant got quieter and in the end we had to accost the one member of serving staff for the bill.Is there a desert menu? I couldn't tell you!?!. The bill was issued and we both thought it was a good £10 more than what it would be in a similar restaurant. Mains are well priced so it must've been on the drinks or sides where the extra is.I would've kept it as a 'very good' review despite the bill but the lack of service in the end and being ignored just knocked it down again. It was 'Average' and with such choice of restaurants around in the local towns I'm not compelled to go again.

Wednesday was very Wednesday, the sort of Wednesday that needs a good curry and Dehli 45 is definitely a good curry! This is our go to curry place in Birmingham and never disappoints. This time the North Indian Mutton Fry, served with soft buttery roti was the dish of the day in my opinion (though others would argue that the butter chicken is always the best! IYKYK!). The Dehli 45 team are all so friendly and chatty, making it a fantastic casual night out in Rubery. Don't forget to grab a bottle of wine from the shop down the road before you go, as it's byob. If soft drinks are more your thing, try the lassi!
