Delhi 45 Indian Streatery in Bromsgrove

This has to be one of the best Indian eatery ever! The food was just superb, atmosphere lovely and the service was brilliant. A lovely evening spent with friends and will not be the last.

Phone order to take away - 30mins was the advised wait time but then had to sit in the car for a further 10mins which is fine but the food wasn't worth the wait, chips tasted heated up they had a rubbery texture, balti like no other I've tasted had a predominantly tomato taste, it was just a bit strange tbh no onions or anything just odd tasting sauce with a few chuncks of chicken never had a balti like it, the naan tasted slightly undercooked it was doughey and soft, even the mint yoghurt dip tasted like it had been sat on the counter for a few hours just not nice, nothing tasted fresh. First and last time ill order here. @Deli45 I didn't bother to call before you ask because we didn't want to wait another 40mins, so we made a quick bite at home.

Disgraceful service. Ordered online after working all Christmas day. Order was a long time so contacted the number available both on the app and Google. Man who answered denied all knowledge of being Delhi45. Contacted app after 2 hours who said they couldn't contact them either. Turned up after over 3 hours tk be turned away as had cooked by then! Thanks for ruining what would have been our family Christmas meal!

A very average experience. There was nothing wrong with the food, but neither was there anything to make one salivate in anticipation of the next bite. The curry was pleasant, but not the best. The naan was sadly particularly disappointing lacking in flavour and being served somewhat underbaked. Nevertheless this is probably one of the better options out of Rubery’s rather limited and low-quality dining options, but I wouldn’t recommend travelling to here from particularly afar.

A group of around 30 of us dined at this restaurant last night for my nephews 16th birthday. The food was beautiful, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was friendly. The staff worked hard to make sure we were all fed and happy. Will 100% be visiting again 😄

First and last time ordering from here. Live a2 minute drive away yet starters (pakora) cold and soggy, instead of the hot crispy food I’d dreamt of since lunch, and a measly portion for £4. Tikka masala was more like soup with just six tiny pieces of chicken. Rice and naan were good. Mancunian was described as medium hot (which it was) with sweet and sour, but very little contrast in flavours. Couldn’t even work out what the deep fried lumps were made out of. Sadly the majority of it hit the bin.

Attended this lovely restaurant on 10/10/23 with my husband, daughter and her partner. We had booked in on one of Delhi 45 taster evenings and we experienced a gastronomic pleasure. Over several courses, lasting 3 hours we had the opportunity of tasting dishes the guys were preparing to put on their menus in the future. We were surveyed for each course, allowed to score and personally comment on each course. It's lovely to see a business seeking the views of it's customers to shape the way they develop their product. We are regular visitors to this establishment and on the night had the same high level of personalized customer service; amazing as they were fully booked. Kam orchestrated a perfect front of house service with his usual personable aplomb. The kitchen staff, as usual did not fail to impress us. Every course was full of flavour. Of particular note were the following dishes ; Merghi Chop, Vegetable Kofta Dhal, Lamb Kurzi and Celebrate Pilau. Well done team, you never fail to amaze. The best restaurant in Rubery by a long country mile.

With a Rubery stalwart across the road, Delhi 45 really had a challenge on its hands to deliver great tasting Indian cuisine but oh my….this place is a real gem and regardless of your culinary loyalties, you must give Dehli 45 a try !! The restaurant has a mega chilled cafe style but there is proper warmth and homely feel. The staff are amazing and whilst they portray a very relaxed vibe, you can truly tell that they are all extremely passionate about the success of this business and the quality of the food they serve. This place is not licensed but you can bring your own and there is usefully an off licence a few doors down. It is fairly small place so make sure you book on the usual weekend busy days to avoid missing out. The menu is perfectly formed and is as colourful as the food that was presented. There is so much we wanted to try but thought we would keep things simple for our first visit. We went for the mixed dish for starters as couldn’t decided what to go for. The food arrived promptly and was beautifully cooked and all elements were so flavoursome. If nothing else you must try the vegetable samosas as they are probably some of the best we have tasted. For mains we kept it simple with a Lamb Madras and North Indian Garlic Chicken served with a mushroom pilau and at their recommendation, the jungle rice. The mains were as delicious as the starter with the madras, perfectly spiced, a lovely thick sauce and large tender chunks of lamb. The North Indian Garlic chicken was also full of flavour and spice. The mushroom pilau was cooked to perfection and the Jungle rice was the real star of the show. It was vibrantly green and packed with bags of flavour thanks to the nice balance of coriander, chilli and garlic. This perfectly complimented our dishes and were so thankful of the recommendation. A Garlic nan topped off the meal and meant we didn’t waste any of the amazing sauces. I am so excited by this place and can’t wait to return. Keep an eye on their socials as they have taster fixed menu nights where they trial new dishes and you will be guaranteed something new and tasty to eat. Make sure you support local businesses like this and hopefully it will help them to continue delivering the most amazing Indian food. Let’s hope places like this will encourage others with a similar passion for good food and drink to set up home in Rubery !!

Nice friendly and good service with hygiene food.

their dansak isn't even close to what a normal dansak should be. gotta say its the worst takeout dansak ive had. stupidly over the top spicy (and i eat 2x samyang korean buldak fire noodles... ), no hint of any pineapple juice or chunks either. over the top bay leaf in my face taste. i could get past the spice if the flavour was there but unforunately, it isn't. I noticed someone else saying all the curries tasted the same and yeah my dansak was just like a Balti taste wise tbh thanks for the 30% discount but wont be returning ever again.

First time customer. Mushroom rice was acceptable. Garlic chilli chicken was dreadful. Sauce was curry flavoured water at best. Just a tub full of slosh. Absolutely awful. Bitterly disappointing and 17 pound to boot. Will not return.

Fantastic local Indian Restaurant for both eat-in and takeaway. A modern Street food vibe, giving an amazing menu choices with an option for everyone. Cannot fault the service with great customer focus. Jungle rice and Kulcha Naan are superb! Love the Food taster evenings!!!

We had a family meal here on Saturday night the food was excellent and the service as well there were seven of us and we all ate at the same time no waiting around I would definitely recommend for any occasion

Love love love this place! It is my local, go to restaurant of choice. The place is so friendly and staff are wonderful. The food is always on point! Beautiful street food and traditional dishes with a twist. Not your typical Indian restaurant yet they do have authentic dishes on the menu and will always cater to specific tastes if needed. Such a good company, they even do the food stations for our local school events (quiz nights and fates) Always something new on the menu and taster evening going on. Would definitely recommend. Can also take your own alcohol in with you. My fave dishes are North Indian Garlic Chilli Chichen, Thali, Kathy Rolls, Chilli Paneer Fry, Lamb Burriani with the sauce. Enjoy!

Ate there tonight with a group of 7. Food was utterly amazing and great portions, staff were great and helpful even went to get us ice cubes ! 10/10 food and 10/10 service will definitely be returning !

I went to try Delhi 45 last Wednesday with a group of close friends. The service from the staff member was excellent. I cannot fault him. The atmosphere was good and the food came out on time. Time flew by owing to the great company I was in. I had a chaplli kebab for starters. I was a little disappointed because a chaplli kebab is supposed to have some size to it but when it arrived it was more like the kebabs you would cook at home with mutton mince and spices. It was a little dry and hard. I had lamb with spinach for my main. The meat was tender and enjoyable but the spinach was in long strands and tasted a little weird. I will pick something different next time. My friends enjoyed their food and the lamb keema was really tasty which I had a taste of. All in all a good evening owing to the company I was in and excellent service.

Very poor. Ordered online via Just eat and our order was delayed for over 2 hours. When I called the restaurant they said it’s because they had run out of food so couldn’t fulfil our order. They shouldn’t have accepted our order in the first place. Very disappointing

Well this was the first time we have been marvelous food and service the best and a great Atmosphere i think the name of the person that looked after us was Chad first class 👍 I really recommend this eating place a must we will sertanley be going back well done to you all it's the best place in Rubery

Wow, what a meal. Delicious food, especially the Tandoori Murghi Massalla (The one with the egg on), that was something special. The guys were really welcoming and accommodating and even put our music selection on. The place was clean and tidy and my only complaint would be that the bottled soft drinks were warm. We spent a little more than average for 2 people but we did have 3 main meals because I couldn't decide, and it was well worth it. We're not local to the area but if in the area again would definately love to pay them another visit.

Haven't been for a while but arrived during live filming of the new menu dishes and we were treated like royalty and offerd a surprise taster menu from a selection of new offerings. They have raised the bar even furthetr and ebvrything we both ate was outstanding, so much so that we immediately booked a table fo 30 for a future event!

This is my second disappointing order. The first time I was sent a starter with undercooked chicken, which I will say, was dealt with straight away. I was offered a 50% discount if I chose to go back again and half my money back. I wasn’t going to return but as I’d had good service in the past, I thought I’d give them another go as surely they’d be better this time round knowing the mistake which was made prior. Unfortunately, the service second time round was poor. We were sent the wrong food and I was missing my main and starter. I had already waited 2 hours for our food and I might add it was Mother’s Day, and my food didn’t arrive along with my families. My starter and main eventually arrived but everyone had eaten and so as you can imagine, I was truly disappointed. I will not be returning to Delhi 45 as I believe the service is not adequate. I have never left a bad review before but I feel I have to share my experience. I am still debating whether I take the raw chicken incident further but hopefully this review will make the owners realise that all is not good with their service as it stands right now and changes need to happen.

We ordered the takeaway for 2 2 sides 2 curries 2 nan or rice 2 side dishes 23 pounds wow the food, quality and quantity was amazing albeit we waited a little longer for the food to be readily but we wont go anywhere else highly recommend

We ate in here as a table of 4, not one person was disappointed with their meals. Menu had great variety and the dishes were full of flavour. Week days they have a deal for just under 15 for a starter, main and dessert. Staff were incredibly friendly. We've already booked in to go back next month!

The food is okay.. but failed to taste the difference between Delhi railway Lamb curry to Lamb Rogan Josh- Super oily and very tomatoe based, so not very authentic curries(not a fan of these two curries). Order the Lamb Dum biryani - would say this is pretty decent biryani and would order again. Hope you can make curries to be authentic than use the same base for all the curries.

Didn't eat inside, but it does look good, I'll deffo visit, ive a very strong pallet, being half asain, they did rectify there mistake from last yr, I'll deffo go and eat in, there's definitely room for improvement, and there willing to cook to your desire, Thankyou... I'd like to try the eat in experience soon.

Myself, my partner and 2 friends have been to Delhi 45 3 times now in the past 2 years or so and we absolutely love it here Food is always absolutely top top drawer, atmosphere and vibe is ace and the staff are always welcoming Oh, and those battered chips! - A thing to behold! We have just had the loveliest take away from Delhi 45 after a long day out on the road. Food was fabulous (chicken tikka main course and chicken tikka sagwalla), as usual. The lads as great as ever, from ordering to prompt delivery. Fantastic customer service. We use this Streatery as our place to go for take aways and eat in and they never fail to deliver. Yeah the service was ok to be fair , however the meals for my wife and I was very much more sause then it was to meat, however still nice enouth.

Ordered takeaway from here 3 times now and every time it’s been a large group order. Not once have they let us down. Food is everything you’d hope it to be. Flavours are all great, nann breads arrive warm, currys are thick and meat is tasty. They’re really lovely on the phone. I will be making the trip to eat in soon.

Now been 3 times, the latest of which was December- During the England game! Love the atmosphere and vibe here, and the food on all 3 visits has been absolutely top drawer. I have a modest tikka masala , which I ask the gents to spice up a bit and they have always been accommodating and friendly This place is also home to some of the best battered chips you will taste I have no doubt we will be back for many years to come Bravo, Team Delhi 45 !

We popped into this place on a Friday night without a booking hoping they could fit us in. Despite being fully booked they found room which was fab. We had the Thali which was absolutely superb. Fresh, hot, flavourful, really tender meat, delicious samosa too. It came quickly as well. And only £16 per person! Superb value for the quality. Service was also impeccable. Honestly couldn't fault it, will return soon thank you 👍

I ordered this via Uber Eats, for a while I have been craving authentic butter chicken and packaging was all fine but it had tandoori chicken thrown in and was loaded with sugar I could only manage a few mouthful before it felt like I was eating dessert. Its a shame as it has recovered good reviews but I'm afraid I won't be wasting my money on this over processed food, not authentic at all.

Went last night for my Grandson 16th Birthday, food was lovely, everyone enjoyed their meals. I have never tasted such nice basmati rice in my life. Nice friendly staff, tiolets were nice and clean. Nice to have something a little different the way they served the kebabs, delicious. Highly recommend.

Can't recommend Delhi 45 enough! Cam could not do enough for us, so friendly and welcoming. Following his recommendation we tried the Indian tapas style choice. Absolutely delicious!! We will definitely be back, thank you so much 🙂

First time customer. Ordered a takeout via Uber Eats tonight and I have to say … bloomin delish! We had a thali, which is a great way to try different dishes and added on a Dahl makhani and a garlic rice Extremely impressed with all the different flavours, the complimentary popadoms and the presentation. 100% will be eating from here again!

Takeaway was fantastic. Delivered quickly too. We ordered a selection of the "street foods". Chicken Chat, Monkey Wrap, Gunpowder Chicken and a Loaded Samosa. It's messy and filthy and absolutely fantastic. The loaded Samosa was the star, but with Gunpowder chicken, despite being a small portion, tasted smokey. Hoping to go in for food rather than a takeaway next time!

We tried this for the first time tonight, best food, maybe the best takeaway I've had! The food is so delicious, meat is so tender and all dishes were cooked perfectly. The quantity is amazing for the price and really good deals. Chef needs a promotion 👌

Wow ! This place is excellent as well a innovative indian cuisine! If you don’t know what to have try the tali you can have various dishes to make you sure you’ve haven’t missed anything in this place ! From mild to spicy the tali is the best ! Also from the alcarte menu I recommend the north garlic chili Lamb, wow the best garlic Chili dish I’ve ever had ! I recommended this place and the warmly service from Kam and Joey always going beyond there means !

Just had a sit down meal with my good lady my granddaughter and her friend. We all had starters Chicken Tikka and Sheesh Kebab. Taste was perfect. Main meals Chicken Balti for the good lady, Chicken Tikka masala for the girls and chicken Madras for me. Again was really tasty. Best Madras I have had. Had a saag bhaji side dish . All was perfect. Very lovely experience at this trendy Indian street food restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious that i forgot to take pictures. I would recommend the Delhi railway lamb. Waiter provided excellent service and looked after us well. Definitely would go again.

New Year’s Eve eve catch up with the girls and the youngest nephew. We all enjoyed every bit of our meal. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Love that you can take your own booze too. I recommend the thali for £15.95 you get 3 starters, 2 mains and 2 sides.

Went NYE food was great not your average Indian the decor was great the venue was nice and niche (street food menu) although service was bad and we had to wait a long time this may have been due to it being NYE although the takeaways seem to be taking preference from the people eating in. Maybe more staff next time would have elevated this issue

Thankyou guys for a lovely evening last night 27/12/2021 . Myself & 4 friends were there for our post Xmas get together, the food was fantastic, although you were slightly understaffed, you kept us updated that there may be a slight delay in our food being served, ok so it was slightly longer than usual, but who cares, we were able to have a nice chat amongst ourselves , sat in a nice comfortable atmosphere, when the food arrived it was absolutely delicious, my lamb madras was full of flavour and the lamb just melted in my mouth. We all had a really pleasant & relaxed evening , thankyou to you all for being very attentive to your customers. Will see you all again soon, keep it up, you have it spot on 👍👍👍👍

I dont normally go to other Indian places as I've always stuck to the same one. However, I saw that a new place opened up just down the road from me called Delhi45. I was a bit sceptical as most places around here that open up are not very good. But. I have to say, this is now my local for Indian food. The chicken tika meat is very well cooked and goes very well with madras sauce. The roti is made to perfection and the naan bread is also made really well. I haven't tried anything else as the tika madras is all I go for as its just the right burn. Not too spicy, not too mild. I'd also like to say that the person I see every Friday is welcoming and professional. Definitely try delhi45. You won't be disappointed.
