The best restaurants in England

The mushroom starter was pleasant and the soup was fine. The Xmas dinner was disappointing. Not much of it - sliced parsnips and carrots very meagre. The gravy was very salty. The beef rib gravy was also salty. Cheesecake was so sweet none of the party wanted it. A service charge automaticity added though I’ve since read it is voluntary. Last years Xmas meal was delicious, that’s why we returned. This year, sorry, not so much.

Went for a meal with family today to celebrate my birthday. It was absolutely excellent- great atmosphere, lovely setting, fabulous food and excellent service. Could fault nothing. Will definitely return soon. Thank you so much.

The food here was absolutely wonderful. I had the bang bang chicken to start which was great but only the beginning. For main, I had Ox-cheek. The Ox-cheek was tender and delicious, as were the accompanying vegetables. The beer was good too. Edit a year later. We visited as a party of 5. We visit places regularly. We all found the restaurant better than any that we have ate at in the last 6 months. The food was stunning, the service was great and the Christmas decorations made the place feel special. Well done!

Amazing breakfast and by far the best place around our area for food. The chorizo egg is exceptional and have no hesitation in recommeding Tubbs! 👌 😍

Brilliant Sunday roast. Excellent portion size, tasty veggie option. The staff are all so friendly and couldn't do enough to help.

Everything about this place is a YES. Incredible service from the moment we sat down and incredible food. A big thank you especially to Annie, a wonderful server who just made it feel like we were there for a chat. The head chef was also lovely when I thanked him for the meal. Your team is wonderful Nadu - don’t change a thing!

Cosy and welcoming pub! We went for Friday night fish and chips which was delicious. Crispy and light batter, home made tartare sauce was a delight and their curry sauce was very nicely spiced. Overall, well worth a visit. Lots of locals too which is a great sign!

Any pub busy on a Tuesday lunchtime is a good pub.

Everything was superlative I recommend with confidence!!

The staff here are amazing! They know my dad as "Big Tom" and look after him and us exceptionally well when we visit from out of town. The owner takes time to stop by and make conversation.The food is excellent, the restaurant is well set out and stylish, the staff are very friendly and courteous, I highly recommend a visit here.
