Very polite and efficient service. Excellent Thai menu. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend Boston Spice.

Restaurant is always friendly, relaxed, no pretences, food is exceptional quality time after time, regularly visit here with both family and friends.

We had a meal here last night and can't praise this restaurant highly enough! Nice setting, great staff and service and stunning food. We ordered a selection of dishes which were all fabulous but the Thai red curry with king prawns was to die for !! We were very very pleased with the cost of our meal too. Would highly recommend this little restaurant and we'll be back if we return to Boston. Many thanks.

Was looking for a late evening bite to eat and came across Boston Spice. We do love a good Thai so thought we would give it a try. On arrival the restaurant was empty so we had no problems in getting in and served. To start with we went for the sharing platter. Food was tasty, hot and quick service. Good portion. Only thing which wasn’t great was the chilli sauce (very vinegary). Moving onto mains we went for curry’s and rice. Yet again food was tasty, hot and delicious. Overall service was ok but could of been a lot better. We felt very out of place and the waiter kept staring at us which was very off putting. Not very friendly either but was quick with service. Price wise it’s ok and not bad. Only disappointing thing was that the staff do not give you an itemised bill, only split up by food + Drinks. They also charge 50p if you want to take away your food.

Not the most authentic Thai food but tasty enough and with lovely fresh veggies. Spice has definitely been dialled down here and some of the curries didn’t have the lovely depth of flavour we’d expect. The sweet chilli sauce was very sweet but lacked the chilli heat, but the little corn fritters were very good. Service was excellent and it’s a nice venue.

Ordered a family takeaway and driven in from Swinesehead to collect and the food was excellent. Exactly what we ordered, hot and ready on time. The best Pad Thai we've had for a long time. Well worth the travel and we will be back.

We were quite regular visitors to Boston Spice before covid and have really missed it. Always usually sit in so tried a takeaway for the first time and it was fantastic. Great value and quality! Prawns to start are always my favourite and my husband loves the chicken satay, beef massaman always great too, thanks very much x

My wife and I had an evening meal here last month. Having lived and worked in Thailand I was looking forward to an authentic Thai meal. The beef massaman curry was underwhelming compared with massaman curries I have enjoyed in Thailand. This one was quite bland and uninteresting - beef and potato chunks flaoting in a bland gravy. No depth or richness to it. Rice was not included as a side dish.Service was efficient and we didn't have to wait too long for our dishes to arrive.My wife enjoyed her noodle dish. It even had a couple of those decorative carrot flowers with it - a nice touch.Nice location in the heart of Boston close to the river. On the whole it is okay but personally, I wouldn't hurry back there.

This little Gem of a restaurant was recommended by a local. We turned up to find all 6 tables full and had to wait 40 mins to be seated ( but was okay, plenty of bars to get a drink near by). Next time we will book a table.The food is exquisite! Will be coming back here for more of the Thai yellow curry! The main was served with a fantastic eastern chafing dish to keep it warm.We loved every minute of the meal! Feeding 3 people with multiple drinks and two courses for under £70 is impressive! We will be back!

Really first-rate food and service. Generous portions and fresh ingredients. We visited on a warm Sunday evening, and the door and windows were open with tables widely spaced so it felt completely safe, particularly as the water wore a covering.

So there we were looking for a meal in Boston on Sunday night. Nowhere caught our eye but then saw the Boston Spice, let's a try a Thai we thought although it's not our usual cuisine. But we were delighted with everything: the meal was tasty, good value, welcoming and good service, pleasant building and clean with good covid precautions so we felt safe eating there. Recommended!

Visited with friends and ate from the early bird menu. A great selection to choose from and a really reasonable price (2 courses for £11.95). Service was excellent and the food was simply delicious!

We were looking forward to a lovely Thai meal. This was a disappointment to us. Firstly, we were sent upstairs to an empty room but after complaining, a table was found downstairs. Crispy duck started was presented already shaved with a small mound of duck along with veg and only 2 pancakes each. For our main meal we chose 2 different dishes which to us were more Chinese than Thai. We had 2 small bottles of beer - with the bill coming to just over £40. Would not recommend this restaurant as an authentic Thai. Would not return.

We are regular visitors to this Thai restaurant. We cannot speak highly enough of it! The food is always fantastic. The staff are most welcoming and helpful. We go with friends, family or as a couple and the dynamics are always the same - great night. I am a coeliac and the owner has been fabulous with advising me with menu choices but then adapting it for me. Highly recommend.

We turned up without booking and luckily they managed to fit the two of us in.So pleased they did, we opted for a set meal for two which was three courses. Each course was served beautifully with very pretty vegetable flowers and each course tasted wonderful.Service was very friendly and you didn’t have to wait long between courses.Definitely worth a visit if you are in Boston. But maybe book first as it does seem very popular.

We go to this restaurant whenever we are in Boston and this has been 3-4 times in last 12 months.On this occasion, we tried to call to make booking and despite over twenty calls during the evening there was no response.So we decided to drive and visited the restaurant. We were not welcomed. Despite tables being available we were not given seats.On requesting take away, the owner was reluctant and discouraged us saying that it will take more than 40 minutes.We did explain to the owner that we were willing to wait for eat in or take away but he did not appear to be positive at all.This despite that we like the food and we come frequently there.It was annoying - not responding to phone calls and unwelcoming attitude.

Went with a party of six and made to feel really welcome. Advice freely given about spice and food choice. Good choice of beers and good atmosphere. Never once felt overwhelmed by staff.

Visited Saturday night 15th Feb. Food was excellent and prices very reasonable. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Would certainly recommend.

We had ribs in tamarind sauce and deep fried squid for starters, both were cooked to perfection. Our mains were Thai green chicken curry and beef massaman. The only flaw was tinned potatoes in the massaman ruined it and did not match the quality and taste of everything else.

Visited last night and food is spot on as always we all had the early birds very consistent quality enjoyed the starters and mains , nice bottle of white wine , left feeling content See you soon pak 👍👍

We just dropped in here before visiting the theatre at Boston Blackfriars . Its only small and a little off the beaten track but the food was great , service efficient and polite and the view of the Boston Stump really good.

This Thai restaurant is more like a Chinese!! The food is terrible and the service is very poor !! Shall not be returning or recommending too anyone !!

We had a lovely meal here, it was had to choose so we had none of the set menus, which was just enough for us, it was really tasty and left us with our taste buds singing. will definitely eat here again.

The Boston Spice is a Thai restaurant in South Street Boston, Lincolnshire. The restaurant specialises in seafood with a genuine Thai menu. There are several very good vegetarian options available for both starters and main course. They also serve a reasonably priced early bird menu from 5pm to 7pm from Tuesday to Friday. A good value Thai restaurant in the centre of town.

We read the reviews on TA but to be extra sure we asked around in the bar in our hotel and everyone recommended this restaurant. And they were right! Friendly greeting on arrival, quick serving of drinks and prawn crackers. We had the mixed starters, then I had prawns in a kind of filo basket and hubby had duck, we shared a sticky rice. All really good, portions not huge but enough and all in all a very nice meal and very good service.

My abiding memory of eating here will not be the very average food we ate but the sour attitude and totally unfriendly expression on the face of the man who was obviously the owner. I wonder how many people have been put off dining here by his manner?

Wow! what a lovely unique place. Great atmosphere, great food, seafood dishes are amazing,I recommend you try the giant king prawns. Yum! Service was quick the staff attentive and efficient and the prices not out of order for the quality you get which is the best you will find in my opinion. We will be back for sure

This was our first experience of Thai food and we weren't disappointed. The food we had was hot, very tasty, a good amount and reasonably priced. The ambiance inside was very nice and we couldn't fault the staff. All in all we had a nice night at Boston Spice and we would recommend.

We came to the restaurant for a romantic dinner while staying in Boston. Found it on TripAdvisor with very good reviews which never fails me. We ordered wonton and seafood salad for a starter. The salad was nothing like you would taste in Thailand. No glass noodles, lots of bell peppers and leaks cut in massive chunks. I had a tom yam goong, which was ok, my husband had a pad Thai. He mentioned to me that the taste was strange and when I tried it, I couldn't swallow it, as it was off. It was either the noodles or the sauce, but the taste was sour and not even slightly reminding the taste of authentic dish. I called for the waiter (owner) and told him that the dish wasn't fresh and there was something wrong with it. The owner gave us a distrustful look and with an air of contempt remarked:" I served this dish to customers before and nobody complained. It's only you!!!" We were speechless after that reproach. It was utterly rude and inappropriate. Instead of apologizing and taking it back, the owner scolded us for being picky. We didn't want to order anything else (which wasn't even suggested). We payed the bill and found our way out. Please avoid this place.

Excellent takeaway. Lovely pots of dipping sauces included with starters and complimentary prawn crackers. Very courteous when we called to order.

Probably come here 3/4 times a year, always good and last night no exception. I had the Duck Pad Prig, absolutely lovely. Partner had the minced Pork Thai salad which was also very nice. Think maybe the waitresses were new as they seemed slightly lost at times but their friendliness and their genuine attitudes meant that the service was very welcoming. Overall 100% recommended and I will defo be back at some point

We go here quite often and it's always consistent with the quality and flavours of the food and the attentive service. The Early bird is good value but, whether eating in or getting a takeaway, the food is superb, fresh and full of flavour. If you're looking for authentic thai food, look no further.

I've been to this restaurant both for the early bird and later for the full menu many times, the food is always fantastic, so tasty,fresh & varied. The staff are great & service is spot on, We would not hesitate to recommend Boston Spice for couples as well as with a group of friends for a celebration. The staff really cannot do enough for you. An excellent restaurant. Have been a few times both to the Early Bird and later. Food is fabulous and the service first class. My most recent visit was last week to Early Bird before going to the Theatre quite close by. I would recommend this restaurant.

I've been to this restaurant several times and it seems to get better every time. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and there is loads of choice. The decor of the place is a bit old fashioned but it is not a bother. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Looking at trip advisor reviews I've come across Boston spices last review 3rd January This review is totally false and should be taken down And does not represent this restaurant,The reason I know is because it shuts its doors 24th December every year for one month,Plus it does not have a delivery service !! Only pick up ,Why do people do these tricks???

We ordered a large takeaway from this company totalling £80.00 - it arrived over 1.5 hours late. The food was cold and some parts of the order was missing. When I called to complain the manager there didn't know why my order was late!! Never offered an apology nor any money off a future visit to maintain my custom, in fact he was rude - will not be using this poor company again.

Been to Boston Spice several times and loved it every visit.The restaurant is beautifully presented and the staff are so welcoming polite attentive in traditional costume.The menu is extensive and on our last visit Saturday gone we were a party of eight so opted for various dishes including the Thai green curry,pad Thai noodles ,saltpepper pork,chicken satay, fragrant rice and copious amounts of Thai beers.The dishes are so well presented and decorated with hand carved vegetable flowers etc.Highly reccomended for that special evening and would recomend if to couples if your looking for a romantic evening treat.

It was our first time in Boston and we wanted somewhere nice to eat. After walking around the place we've found Boston Spice. It looked beautiful and inviting. I've checked their Tripadvisor reviews as I always do before I go to a place I don't know and the 4and half star rating looked very promising. So we went in, been greeted and sat down. Everything seemed fine, drinks arrived and we waited for our starters. The place looked beautiful, very traditional , very authentic.Our starters took a while but when they arrived they looked well presented. I very much enjoyed the starters! We've asked for more pancakes for the duck and it took ages to arrive, we literally finished everything by the time they came. When we said we don't want them anymore as we've finished everything the gentleman who was serving us just put a slight comment when he walked off saying that ' they take time to steam you know'. I've found that very rude as I work in a restaurant myself and I'd never say something like this especially not with the tone he used to my customers. So there we were , being told off basically for not wanting the extra pancakes when there was nothing left to put inside. We were looking forward to the main courses. And they've arrived! First look was ok. We started eating! I love food and I eat out a lot! I was very happy with the tempura chicken , the rice and noodles but the rest - awful! The big king prawns were seasoned so bad it was literally painful to eat and the steak! oh my God that steak! It was covered in this watery , greasy sauce and it tasted absolutely horrific! I do believe the meat was off and because of this sauce it had a 'lovely' soapy aftertaste to it! We obviously left it and didn't have anymore. Awful! Absolutely awful! And when we dared to mention that it didn't taste nice to that 'lovely' gentleman he literally started arguing saying that is a popular dish and everyone else likes it ! Probably those people have nothing else to compare to if they like the soap tasting steak! Well at this point we were so angry of his behaviour and the way he talked down to us that we just asked for he bill and left! Not to mention we've paid everything in full, even the dishes we haven't eaten! I've eaten in many different Thai, Chinese and Japanese restaurant but have never ever had such an awful experience. I'm sure the locals love this place , probably that's where the 4 and half star rating comes from! Well this place has left me with a bad stomachache and very bad memories and I'll make sure to share this with my friends and family to avoid them making the same mistake of going there!

What a Superb place to eat. Top Class Food and it comes with Top Class service!A very nicely chilled and relaxed themed place to eat, everything set out with lots of space, and with an abundance of food on the menu. We visited on a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy. But we didnt have to wait too long for freshly cooked food with excellent flavour. The cool Chang beer kept the taste buds happy too. The squid was cooked to perfection and the Currys were something special. Chicken in a basket....Wow!You WILL NOT find any better in Boston for Service, Value and above all Quality Food!Massive compliments to all the staff and in the Kitchen for Such a wonderful night. This place will become a regular from now on and we will definately be visiting again soon.

A lovely highly recommended place to eat in boston. I've visted a few occasions and the staff are always very polite and friendly. There is plenty of choice on the menu and reasonable priced too.The food is excellent quality so top marks to the chef. The decor and seating areas are spaced out well ,so you don't feel cramed, its a lovely atmoshere. The restuarant is closed on a monday. I'm sure i will be visiting again real soon .

Situated opposite Custom House Quay in South End; Boston Spice occupies one of Bostons quaint, picturesque and historic building.Greeted at the door- here your experience begins!There is a wide range of authentic Thai dishes available from the menu, starters and mains each presented with colourful and artistic sculpted salad and vegetables; delicate courses to feed the eye before the appetite as is with Asian food.The vegetarian choices are excellent- asking advice, l was guided through the starters and main by our waitress who patiently enquired to my taste before assuring me that there would be no oyster or fish sauces used for my meal. Her guidence was spot on. The meal was excellent. Another of our party was a lady who wasn't familiar with Thai cuisine or overly keen of spicy food- and again our waitress was ever helpful and adjusted her order to suit.This well decorated restaurant offers ample seating for parties and the ambience is perfect; you will need to book- this is a popular place.Saturday evening was the third time l have visited and again l was not dissapointed. This occasion was a girls night out, and although the restaurant was busy we were well attended.The puddings are a must...one of which is deep fried ice cream...(Think of a twist on baked alaska) well worth a try!Friends speak highly of this restaurant and it comes well recommend, so give yourselves a treat.There is pay and display parking on the quay side- but be careful of the times.

Had a family meal and tried the early bird menu, this is a starter and main from a selected selection of dishes. I had the spicy soup starter, it never fails as it's full of flavour. The variety is quite good as you have plenty of choice on the mains with an option of either egg fried or sticky rice. Nice presentation of the main courses, quite filling and good service. Would recommend booking as it can become busy.

Second visit here, the food is absolutely beautiful. Prices are reasonable. 4 of us ate on a Saturday night, service was prompt, every dish was yummy! Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

We have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and decided to try their take out. Amazing !! Top quality clean tasting absolutely delicious. It was like fine dining but at home you would have thought you had your own private chef !! 10 out if 10 :)

Myself, partner and my 13 year son popped in on Friday night for a bite to eat to find out it was a early bird special 2 courses for £10.95 what a bargain. The food was amazing, I had the spring rolls and the Thai green curry which is the best I have ever had. Service was great and food came out fairly quick. It took some effort to get my 13 yr old to try it but he has been converted.

Went for dinner on Sunday and was warmly greeted at the door by our waitress for the evening. The restaurant has a homely atmosphere and a well decorated interior reminiscent of my visit to Thailand. Looking through the menu there was a large variety of original Thai dishes that were all affordably priced(~ £9 for a main). Opted for the Tod mun (Thai Fish Cake) to start and the Chicken massaman curry with rice as my main. Very authentic and rich flavours especially in the curry which was more than enough for one person.Without question the best Thai in Boston!

We had two of the set menus between 6 of us, really great spread, especially the red thai curry, would go back for that alone. Good service.

Visited recently for a meal with husband and 2 friends.We have eaten here on several occasions and always found the service and food excellent.We have tried the early bird, all you can eat and the normal menus and they are always if the same high standard. I love the Tai red curry but whatever we have we always enjoy it.

Only had a takeaway (so far) from this Thai Restaurant, but will be back for the lunchtime menu or an evening meal in the future.The couple who run it are very friendly and the food was top quality and produced very quickly. I would recommend it and will use again.Takeaway customers receive a discount from the menu prices (15% if memory serves).

We chose the set menu for 4 at £20 a head and a nice bottle of merlot. The restaurant was full at 8:30 when we arrived with happy diners. We too enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. A friendly and very well run venue which I would definitely recommend.

Always book to make sure that I can get in ok. The wife and I always have the mixed starter to share and then three dishes. Only disappointment is that the deep fried ice cream has not been available the last couple of times ! Would say it is not the cheapest way to eat but the quality and quantity does stack up. As long as they keep up the high standard and service we will keep booking

We had a large party with some food allergies, called to book ahead and they said there would be no problem. When we arrived they spoke to the people concerned and were very accommodating changing ingredients to suit. Everything was made fresh to order, nothing was too much trouble and it was delicious. The waitress was so friendly and anything she was unsure of she checked immediately. She also made some recommendations of her favourite dishes. Well worth a visit. We'll definitely be going again.

I use this restaurant on a regular basis and cannot fault it. The atmosphere is great the staff are lovely and the food is just awesome. My favorite is the dim sum starter

Had friends round saturday night for a takeaway after deciding what wanted to order off there takeaway menu we decided to ring the order the order through before we went to collect kept ringing the number on the menu but got no answer I know they was open as got the takeaway menu from them earlier that evening so we decided to drive into town to order and collect, we got met at the counter with a waiter we a very harsh can I help you as though we had just sneaked through the back door, I asked if we could order a takeaway we got the reply NO we are too busy in the restaurant , to which I thought he was trying to say you can but there will be a wait so I replied.... how long? To be told not at all tonight and we should have come earlier or pre ordered????? I could understand if it was late this was at 7.30 on a Saturday night, im sorry boston spice but if you advertise that you do takeaways you should do them not when it suits you , or the right answer woukd be in a polite manner , we can take your order but there will be a wait and give the paying customer the option, im sorry to say you lost a £80 order and we will not be coming back as whats to say you will even open the door and it might be a good idea to get some polite front of house staff

Booked here last minute, as hadn't been for a while and wasn't disappointed. Food was fantastic, service excellent and reasonably priced. If you fancy a change from Chinese or English definitely a must. Will certainly be back.

I probably visit this restaurant once a week, a girlie night out, they do a special menus before 7 two course for £10, excluding drinks off course, lovely food, very friendly staff, would highly recommend.

Recently had a rare opportunity to enjoy an evening out with my other half and wanting to try something a little different we headed over for what we thought would be a nice meal and evening at a local Thai restaurant we arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and were promptly shown to our table within 5 minutes we were asked if we would like to order drinks and if we wanted to order (although we hadn't even been given a menu ) to cut a long story short we felt very rushed through the whole meal plates being cleared as soon as cutlery was put down but when we wanted to order drinks they were very slow in coming waitress constantly apologising as to how busy they were. At the end of our meal we took our bill and were about to go down to the bar to pay as the waitress was very busy only to be told very rudley by another member of staff "don't move you sit there and wait to pay your bill ". All in all I found the food very good but service was lacking hugely.

To me, this is the best place to eat in Boston. Had a meal this evening and the food was great, the service first class and a great ambience to the restaurant. The food is consistently to a high standard. The early bird menu offers exceptional value for money but tonight we booked later so that we could enjoy main meals not included within the early bird menu.

I can honestly say that this was not our favourite takeaway ever, I'd describe it as the worst. unfortunately the flavours, textures and presentation were not authentic in any way.

Absolutely amazing food and fairly priced for the quality. Great staff and very polite. I tried it once and now it is my go to restaurant in Boston. I have been with my partner and also been with a large party and they handled it brilliantly considering it was a full house that night as well. I really can't praise this place enough. I hope it will be here for many years to come.

Chose this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews and it more than lived up to expectations. We were in Thailand earlier in the year and can confirm that the food is very authentic. The service was good and it's decent value.

We had breakfast here it was ok better than crumbs by a mile but still not as good as people had said it was we have tried many places in Boston for a good breakfast and have been mostly disappointed this was passable but probably won't return again

The first time we came to eat at Boston Spice, it was a few days before Christmas, we had a party of 11 and no table booked. But by some miracle, they managed to accommodate us! The food all came at very similar times, was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were very pleasant. We were very impressed. So after another restaurant lost our booking this weekend, my husband and I decided to give this place another try. We were seated immediately at a very nice table. The main waitress who served our table was absolutely lovely, very friendly and polite. There was another less friendly waitress who served us sometimes too who could do with a smile but that's ok. The food was really delicious and excellent value for money.It's a cosy atmosphere with a very pretty decor, and a big menu. The food comes promptly and with a smile. Would definitely eat here again.

I am an avid Thai food lover and this food was great! The staff were efficient but a smile would go a miss.

Went as a group of 12 people & in a small restaurant they handled this perfectly.Me & my partner have been on numerous occasions & never once had a complaint or anything to fault. Very attentive staff, amazing food & lovely decor will continue to use in the future.

Very busy restaurant, ecpesially during weekends. A bit too dark upstair, can really see the food... But not a problem... As overall atmosphere is very warm ir comfy.Food tastes great, but some dishes a little bit too expensive ( taking into account size of the portion) .

We've been to this restaurant a few times now and the quality of the food is consistently excellent. The service is also to the same high standard. It is worth a visit just to see the way the food is decorated with vegetables carved into flowers.

I love this place , my favourite curry , all to my self with my own little pot and warmer , and the mixed starter is fantastic , a little taste of everything . Desert was amazzing! Staff very freindly and attentive , nice atmosphere. Love it .deff one of my favourite place to eat .

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it certainly wont be our last.Four of us had the Early Bird 2 courses for £10.95 menu and we all enjoyed our meal. The food was nicely presented, the staff were very obliging and friendly. Its not a huge restaurant and it was very busy on the Sunday evening we were there so we were glad be had reserved a table ahead of time.Will definitely return next time we find ourselves in Boston.

If you are a Thai enthusiast then you will be pleased you visited the Boston Spice. The food is very good and the staff friendly and helpful. It is nice to be greeted at the door and be shown to your seat.the food is very good and the wines are excellent.If there is a downside it must be in the winter try not to be seated too near the door, the Boston winds can be extremely cold.Don't let this put you off for the welcome is very warm.Fully recommended.

I took my girlfriend for a romantic night out, we have four children and don't get many opportunities to get out with out them.The food was good but hospitality was poor. We were made to feel very uncomfortable the young waitress was quite abrupt and when we asked what wine was dry sparkling. Her response was there were a few and just to choose one, but didn't tell us the options. The owner needs to learn how to smile.
