Absolutely amazing hot chocolate .Small place very cosy and friendly .Seating upstairs also

Visited a while back. Food was really nice.

First time here and was really impressed. The gardens were neat and tidy and bedding plants looking like they're about to all be planted, beautiful and elegant lamp posts. Smart, very interesting and stunning monuments of a war tanker and shropshires famous Wilfred Owen. Well worth visiting- I loved it and to top things off the weather was beautifully sunny and warm too🥰

Visited this cafe twice just before Christmas, a lovely vibe, spare but comfy and excellent service. Would recommend the Yogurt Granola and superlative overnight oats, pictured. Good coffee and tea. Public carpark outside

Today I tried the full English breakfast and my god it was delicious Proper fresh butchers sausages, field mushroom, fresh spinach and fresh grilled tomato, plus bacon, beans and the best bit was the poached egg 10 out of 10 for quality and not forgetting the friendly service

What a lovely place! Visited twice now, most recently for breakfast. Clean and tidy, good value & good quality food. Polite and helpful staff. If you like your coffee strong, ask for extra shot. Otherwise, it's more like Starbucks.

Nice place, we really enjoyed it. We also ordered a smoothie and it was excellent-one of the best smoothies I’ve ever had.

Lovely place, with a great outside seating area, the food is lovely, if a little expensive, I had the calamari salad with a latte, the salad was £9+ & I’ve had it before, a little more seasoning or a dressing would have lifted this one a little, I suppose I only had to ask. 🙂.

Did a takeaway and really enjoyed the veggie burger and muffin. Very helpful and happy to help. Brilliant 👍 Will be back!

Been here a couple of times now Takeaway kiosk outside is excellent, over Christmas they have been serving hot chocolate which has been excellent, I had a kinder Bueno hot choccie and sat outside, it was lovely. Also sat inside to have a coffee and some veggie dogs, lovely food very pretty decor. Can get busy so not always guaranteed a seat.

Really love this place. Such a nice relaxed vibe, the staff are always upbeat and friendly and the menu is bang up-to-date. I have eaten here many times now and never been disappointed.

Nice location to sit out on a sunny day. I've only had milkshakes here but they are really hit or miss. Sometimes they are so tasty and rich with cream on top, other times they don't have much flavour or any cream on top, just a cheap tasting milkshake with a premium price. Seems to depend on which member of staff makes it.

Popped along for a late lunch on a random Friday. We were able to sit inside and were given a lovely seat to people watch. The menu had a great choice and we were torn what to have. We went for pawn bubble waffle and a chicken rice bowl with a sidebof bacon and cheese fries. The food arrived in good time and was presented beautifully. The food was lovely to eat with great favour. Overall fantastic food and we will be back

The breakfast was really nice. I liked the coffee. The waitress who served me was very polite and professional. The value was great. 100% recommend all of that. I've been coming here for some time and this has never been an issue, always consistently great. *But* some advice to the team in general: - I'd recommend you change how you call-out food/drink orders to people waiting in the street. You may not realise, but when sitting upstairs, you can hear the name of whomever ordered a drink, being squawked out very clearly when you tell them it's ready. The yell reverberates around the upstairs room and completely trashes the vibe. Aside from being intrusive, it's also bloody irritating after a while, the constant banshee-like yell of another name, which gets louder and louder if the person doesn't come forward to collect their order quickly enough! It really cheapens the experience. As someone who needed somewhere nice to sit and work for a couple of hours, everything was perfect aside from this. So I'd suggest find another way to communicate with the punters that their order is ready as I can't be the only person thinking this. - Check on your customers upstairs. If they've been there a while, check on them and see if they'd like to order anything else! It'll make them stay longer and make you more £. Its a really really nice place to come to, just try to fix the "order for Dave!" challenge.

The waffles were tasty but very expensive. You could choose between many toppings - savory and sweet. The fries and salad are also delicious, but also expensive. The ambience is very nice, the shop is very nicely decorated.

Me and my partner go to Square One far too often, but can’t help it because the coffee is really good and so is the food, bank balance doesn’t enjoy it so much! Loyalty card would be good 😂!

Fabulous breakfast! If you want a spot in the sunshine and a good coffee in hand, head here. The food isn’t cheap but neither is the quality. The menu is easily adaptable to be gluten free and the breakfast options are brilliant!

Wow what a great place. Beautiful rustic decor, very fresh and tasty food. Egg yolk was dark orange meaning egg was from naturally grass-fed chicken, bacon was so tasty too. Waffles were divine and I have never used that word for food. Coffee was good. Great staff and atmosphere. Absolutely loved it.

Very nice place for breakfast/brunch. We had the build your own crepes and one of the breakfast muffins with sausage and egg. All very nice, especially for the price. Service was quick and all fo the staff were lovely. Nice chilled out atmosphere with tasteful decor. Would recommend

We had lunch here on the 15/06/2021. Service was really excellent, and the food sublime for a small sandwich bar. We had a bit of an accident with a glass of coke which spilt on the table. The girl looking after the tables cleared the coke up and the drink was replaced at no extra cost. I have to say it is really nice to see this level of customer service from a small outlet, it puts alot of larger and the the majority of other food outlets to shame in that respect. Well done. I am here today 20/02/2023. It might be that I've just noticed this, but why are you going "WOKE" ? You describe your gingerbread hot chocolate as having a "gingerbread person" biscuit. It has always and always will be a gingerbread MAN! Stop virtue signalling. Very disappointed.

Amazing cute hidden gem in Oswestry. Nice deep house background music brings quite contemporary vibe to it. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the service is quick and professional. The best thing this place shines with is their hot chocolates, absolute must! We'll definitely visit again!

The worst coffee I've tasted, it's like dishwater with no flavour, I had a large Americano but I think they forgot to put the coffee in it Avoid there are better places to spend your hard earned money

We found this place yesterday after our daughters hospital appointment in Oswestry, we live an hours drive away and we were planning on going somewhere closer to home for waffles and icecream, I'm so glad we stopped here instead! When we arrived we noticed all the outside chairs, but we wanted something inside for our toddler. The staff were very approachable so it was easy to ask if they had any inside seating. All the members of staff were smiley and happy, it was a lovely atmosphere! We were lead upstairs by a member of staff who showed us our table, she was lovely! The decor upstairs was beautiful. Our orders were taken at the table, then our drinks and food were brought up to us. We were the only ones upstairs and we were treated lovely! I have worked as a manager at a cafe that served a very similar menu, so I know how exhausting the job is and how difficult it is to find such a friendly, helpful team of staff, but this place has perfected it! Food was amazing, big portion sizes, it looked beautiful on the plate and it all tasted lovely. We will be returning every time we have an appointment in Oswestry now! Thank you for a lovely, happy experience ❤

I've visited square one with friends and family a few times now and it has a lovely atmosphere and very pleasant staff, but we've struggled to choose from the menu each time. We feel it's such a shame the menu doesn't include homemade soup, sandwiches etc, which are easy choices to add

Square One is such a great stop for a coffee, tasty snacks, their Berry pancakes are delicious along with the after 5pm 🍹 margaritas or fun cocktails Thursday Friday Saturday evening. Great team. 👍

Happy, vibrant, friendly staff with fun personalities. Tasty food. Great outdoor seating. Pretty impossible to get a table for a single person since you have to order at the counter and the high demand for seating means someone will have taken the seat whilst you're there. Very popular.

Friendly staff, and good location (you forget you're near a road), and lovely bustling cafe atmosphere, but the food was a bit hit and miss sadly. My partner had fish cakes which were nice, and the accompanying pesto mayo was tasty, and we shared some loaded fries with parmesan, chili, and coriander. They were cooked well (nice and crispy) and tasted good, you couldn't really taste the parmesan. Unfortunately, the BBQ pulled jackfruit bun sounded a lot better than it was - it just tasted really strange, and I couldn't finish it (my partner did though so as not to waste food). I don't like leaving negative comments, but there wasn't any BBQ flavour to it, and the jackfruit wasn't actually pulled; it looked basically the same as when it comes out of the can, and it was very firm. When I've had pulled jackfruit before the texture is really tender and shredded (just like pulled pork), so I'm not sure whether it was just an off day or if this is how it normally comes, but it wasn't good I'm afraid...I'm not saying I wouldn't eat there again, as it did have a good atmosphere and some of the food was good, I just wouldn't recommend the bbq jackfruit bun!

Always stop for a coffee when I pop in to Oswestry. V convenient open fronted cafe so you can order without entering the premises. Coffee is delicious.

Great location/vibes, brings life to the square. Foods good, it's what you would expect. If you are a coffee fan then this probably isn't the place for you. When you get asked what size flat white do you want, then you know you're in trouble..

Can not fault. Staff are always polite and the food is always spot on :)
