We stopped in for a drink after a bike ride around tandle hills. We ended up having toasties aswell, they were really really good. Bread was crispy yet fluffy. Chicken was moist and tasty. Made a really nice ending to our ride. The landlady and lord are friendly and welcoming whenever we go in. Highly recommend 👍

Walked up from the canal last Sunday for a quick pint. This turned into two and a bite to eat in the end. The Tandle Hill Tavern is a clean and comfortable old fashioned pub. The tenants (my assumption) were friendly as were the locals. The ale was in excellent condition and a reasonable price, also the first time we have seen a cask stout in a Lees pub on this canal journey. Sausage rolls, pies and a Yorkshire pudding wrap were available, plus a variety of toasties. I had a toastie, which was lovely. I have been to many hundreds of pubs and was in the trade for twenty two years as a cellar man and I can't recommend this pub highly enough. It has joined my top twenty five pubs, stretching from St Just near Lands End to the island of Sanday, one of the northern Orkney Islands. Irrelevant to our needs but dog friendly too, always a good sign in a pub. Eleven out of ten!

Updated review. Under new management. Nice place to stop off on walk to tangle hills. Tapas nights, cheese, and wine nights are good, excellent food. Welcome, kids and dogs People do drive up the lanes to park outside or nearby.

The quality of the beer is exceptional, and the atmosphere is as welcoming as can be. Loved it!

Went to the Tandle Hill Tavern tonight for their tapas night, had a fantastic evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. The venue is a stark contrast to what it was under the previous owner. Nat and Dale are doing a great job and would totally recommend.

A friendly out of the way pub that is dog friendly and has a vast range of craft beers. It's going to be hard walking past with my dog now.

Lovely, very cosy pub. Draught beers and ales, nice wines. Hot pies and sausage rolls, really nice, home made. As well as treats available for dogs. Real fire is most welcome after a walk around the local countryside. Great atmosphere.

Nat & Dale are welcoming hosts. The beer is well kept and Nat's pies routinely sell out. The regulars are friendly and dogs are welcome (where else can your dog have a venison stick treat?). Open fires if the weather is cold, if only more pubs were like the THT..................

Stopped for a pie and a drink with the kids when out on our walk. Great service and lovely food. Highly recommended family friendly pub, and dog friendly too.

Since taking over Nat & Dale have retained the charm of a traditional country pub but have added a few touches. Card Machine & Homemade Pies. Well worth the walk up

Great place, lovely people running it and great clientele. Proper pub. Don't expect a food menu but they have great pies to soak up the beer!

A delightful, traditional tavern with a real fire, on a country lane. Nice landlady and good company. It is hard to believe such a place still exists in this plastic age.

Brill place to chill with your dog or mates.. Its a no kids zone which makes it peaceful, one of John Willie's best

Called in on a Saturday tea time. No lights on anywhere, even the fridges, made it feel a bit dingey. Cash only which could be awkward for some these days. Benches outside were in a nice spot with decent weather

Great old fashioned pub with a lovely warm atmosphere. The road to it is private and poorly maintained so a rather slow and careful drive.

Absolutely love it in here the landlord is fantastic 👌🏾. He is so hospitable, he makes you feel so welcome. There a few locals that are friendly too. Such a warm and welcoming place to visit.

Great traditional boozer in a lovely rural setting nestled amongst farms. Landlord is nice to chat to, and knows how to look after his ales!

It's quite hard to get to...I wouldn't advise driving as the road is very rocky

Great Haunted pub, friendly atmosphere, Dogs very welcome and to top it all a down to earth very funny landlord. Great beer. the pub is haunted we had books flying off the table, pictures taken off the wall, someone plays darts at 3 o clock each day, doors slam shut when no ones there, the landlord can tell you all kinds of tales about the hauntings, so can we the locals who have experienced it.

So traditional and friendly ! Never seen such place, surrounded by open fields and we only a drive away. Recommend for a visit 👍

We went for breakfast. The full English is possibly the nicest I have had. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.

I like quaint old pubs with character. Sadly this is no longer one of them. Dark and dingy interior with nowhere usually to sit. Consistently dirty glasses.

This is a real old fashioned pub, nothing fancy but great atmosphere. We all joke you have to be crazy to come here. It lies in the middle of beautiful countryside with only 4farms as neighbours and a mile drive from each end of a country track. Get your hiking boots on. And yes there is a ghost.!!!

Great place for the traveller and dog walkers can be very bumpy getting to the place especially in the winter months if you have a decent car you might want to think twice.

Run down but a decent walk to blow way a hangover. No food but beer is OK. It needs money spending as it seriously needs a refurbished. Friendly local pub.

Very welcoming pub with a nice cosy atmosphere. Sitting near the real fire I felt like I was in someone`s front room. My pint of Seasonal ale was very nice also.

Lovely country pub, secluded and ideal destination for walkers and cyclists. Dog friendly which has its pros/cons. Open fire in the winter months makes for a cosy night on the real ale - be sure to try the Bumpy Lane ale!
