Visité aquí porque íbamos a visitar Vietnam y quería ver si me gustó la comida. He dejado la crítica hasta que estoy en Vietnam y puedo confirmar que la comida aquí es muy auténtica. Accueil chaleureux. Personnel très sympa. Ce n'est pas très grand, 8 ou 9 tables. Pas trop dexlets à la carte, car je pense que le cuisinier mise dur la fraîcheur. Très bien mangé. Très abordable.

Used to work around the corner from Union Viet before Covid, it is a bustling happy place to go for a sit-down lunch of quality Vietnamese food. Now working from home full time, but made an early evening trip there yesterday. The food is still superb. We had spring rolls ( hot, crispy and tasty ), followed by the beef and the chicken pho, which were excellent. Great service, an absolute joy to visit here once again.

Excellent soup, loved the Bun Hue noodle soup - full of vegetables and tofu, but with a beef stock with lots of taste. Been several times, small utilitarian dinning room, nice family run vibe.

Absolutely delicious flavours. If we were in London for longer we'd go every single day - it's fantastic. I'd never had bành khot before and was so pleased to try them.

Went for dinner and had the pork spring rolls and chicken curry with rice. The spring rolls were good. Curry chicken was nice. Was a little pricey for what you got. Would go back.

Food was decent but stingy potions which were overpriced. There are same quality/better Vietnamese restaurants in london which won’t break your bank!!

My husband and I enjoyed an impromptu Saturday evening dinner at this hidden gem. We enjoyed chicken satay and coconut chicken. The chicken satay was tasty and my husband declared that the coconut chicken was delicious. The portions were fine and the food arrived quickly. The prices were very reasonable. Can’t wait to visit again!

Having spent a month in Vietnam and eating plenty of "authentic" and delicious Vietnamese food there, we were happy to enjoy similar fare at Union Viet. Very flavorful dishes; fresh ingredients (especially in the mango salad); tasty drinks (like the mango smoothie); fair prices for quality and quantity of food, and location (about 12 pounds per entrée); and fast, friendly service. Would highly recommend if you're craving awesome Vietnamese food, and would definitely eat here again.

We visited as a family and ordered a range of dishes. All were really good quality and felt freshly made. The smoothies were also top quality. The service was very friendly. All around a great place to go - book ahead if you are going at a busy time.

High quality Vietnamese cafe food. We had spring rolls, summer rolls, satay, pho and bun hue. Saigon beer, lychee mojito, San Pelligrino. Very quick service, fresh food, polite staff. Spot on.

We popped in for a quick lunch and were made very welcome at this family run eatery. The summer rolls were excellent, but the bao bun was absolutely superb. Having not travelled overseas over the last couple of years, it really felt as we had suddenly landed in Vietnam.

My mum lives locally and we visit Union Viet as often as we can. Outdoor seating perfect for lunch. The food is incredible, always fresh, fast and tasty. Highly recommend the the papaya salad, tofu sort fry and chefs mini pancakes! This is a lovely family run restrant the owner is always kind and our lovely Irish waitress was very attentive. We will be back!

This place has the best vegetarian banh mi (Vietnamese baguette) I've had in London! Other stuff I've tried there is also really nice.

Such a nice evening here. The place wasn’t busy but still had atmosphere and our server made us very welcome. We had summer rolls, bahn mi and pho - all of which was delicious. No Vietnamese beer on the menu but hey, supplies might be trickier with Covid. We will definitely return if we are in the area and recommend to friends.

Absolutely delicious Pho take away. It was delivered exactly when they said they would. Thank you for such a wonderful meal. The broth, noodles and toppings all came separately with instructions for assembly at home. Yum! Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing food and proper Vietnamese coffee! I had the chicken satay and it was delicious. Ask for it spicy and it comes with some unreal chilli oil. Service is great, quick and friendly. Would recommend!

My favourite restaurant, I go here basically as much as I can afford to. The place is tucked away from the main roads. Lovely homely atmosphere, it has a slightly rustic vibe with small cute knickknacks as decor.

Union Viet is a small family run restaurant near Southwark. Not too far from the Tate modern. Food is very authentic (we are just back from a holiday in Vietnam) and tasty. Prices are cheap for London.Staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Recommended.

I came here for lunch with a work colleague who has been here before and loves the baguettes as we work round the corner . I had the bbq pork combo egg noodles (reg size) and the Lycee ice tea and oh my its was not only really filling it tasted amazing. Lovely bbq pork crunchy fresh salad and tasty noodles, i left with a big smile. The only negative is that i do find the prices are a tad high at £9.50 for a cafe. But it is really good and i will certainly be coming back.

I feel so lucky ever since I discovered this little gem of a restaurant a little over a year ago. I've been coming religiously every week since then; in this time I have tried every single dish on the menu, and I can honestly say they are all amazing. I especially recommend the delicious baguettes for lunch and a rich combo hue for dinner. Try the shaken beef if you're not especially fond of spicy food. With incredibly nice and caring staff, good facilities, extremely fresh ingredients, amazing drink selections (it'd be a crime not to try the avocado smoothie!) and great vegan options, as a Londoner I can't recommend any restaurant more than this one!

The food was quite pleasant, but nothing special. What surprised me was when VAT was added on the bill to the prices shown on the menu. I've not come across this practice anywhere else in the UK.12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill (for 5 people plus) but service was pretty average

We visited this independent restaurant only to be left very disappointed!! Later that evening my partner became very poorly with vomiting and diarrhoea, only for myself to follow shorty after!! Totally ruined our trip to London as we couldn’t then leave the hotel room the following day!! Contacted management to tell them only to be told how “they had received the highest possible rating for food Hygiene”. No apology was given, nothing!!! If that’s the case I think you’re in need of another inspection. You made a mistake and made us very poorly and should be held accountable for that!! Perhaps try working on your customer service? We always support independent restaurants but never would I recommend this place or return!!!

He tenido mi parte justa de fos de carne y el pho raro de carne de vacuno de Union Viet es mi pho de referencia. El que constantemente comparo todos mis fos y también, francamente, ninguno lo ha vencido. Es tan rico y perfectamente equilibrado que podría tener 3 tazones de una vez. Me encanta el interior del restaurante, que es encantador, cálido y el servicio familiar más amable. ¡Ojalá hubiera vivido al lado!

A delightful little restraunt/cafe located on the corner of union street offers fast & fresh Vietnamese food with a big smile. I went for the staple beef pho and although it didn't rock the senses, it delivered a savoury and satisfying broth whilst looking the part with fresh garnishing and bright colours.I'd like more depth and it seemed unlikely the broths were brewed in house but for a light , reasonable priced and satisfying price it's a good little spot

Authentic, delicious, cafe style, licensed, Vietnamese family business. Highly recommend. Nice people serving fresh and very tasty dishes. Lotus salad and papaya salad of the highest order, traditionally prepared. Wide variety of exotic smoothies and juices. Tucked away on Union St, blink and you'll miss it. Well worth seeking out, ideal location for visiting, Tate Modern, Flat Iron Square, Crossbones, Borough Market etc.

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine served in a setting that could have come straight from the Old Quarter of Hanoi. A limited range of dishes, all Vietnamese and all a little lacking in excitement, but very much true to the Vietnamese food with choices of noodles and rice. The spring rolls are defintiely a hit.

Went and had prawn summer rolls then beef pho and vegan pho which is tofu and veg!! This is really really delicious and well priced, properly authentic food and a lovely family fun vibe. All food was so fresh and delicious.

Union vet is such a cute lil place! The food is very well priced and they have really good potion sizes. I always got some sort of summer roll and beef Pho as I'm a coeliac. There are a few other GF options too but I'm a Beef Pho sucker & theirs is good. The staff are super sweet and were helpful when I told them I had an allergy. Union Viet doesn't have a gluten free menu however it states the following at the bottom of the menu; "allergies and intolerances: if you have a food allergy, intolerance or sensitivity please let your server know before you order your food and they’ll be able to suggest the best dishes for you | please note: our dishes are prepared in areas where allergenic ingredients are present so we cannot guarantee that our dishes are 100% free of these ingredients". I never had an issue/reaction when I ate their. I'd recommend going if you're in London!

Been there couple of times, both with others and myself. Reasonable price, food is about average, give it a go.

We had a craving for Vietnamese and chose Union Viet based on its good reviews. What a find it turned out to be! We rocked up only 30 minutes before the 9pm closing time, but we were warmly greeted, seated and very well served without ever being rushed, able to stay until 10pm. Fantastic and friendly service throughout. As for the food, the summer rolls were the best I’ve ever had, we shared a lovely pho and the mini pancakes in a skillet with prawns were absolutely delicious. It was also very good value. We will certainly be coming back and recommending to friends!

Booked a table for last night as my French, Amsterdam based friend is a huge fan of Vietnamese food. Service was friendly from smiley waiting staff, ambiance was informal cafe style, the food was tasty and fresh. Bottle of wine, one beer and 3 courses each came to £86 which was amazing value

When I first moved to London I visited the Vietnamese cafes on Kingsland Road on a weekly basis. Thus whilst I have never been to Vietnam I have eaten a lot of very good Vietnamese food. Unfortunately this place didn't live up to my expectations.

After heavier meals and cuisine we were in need of lighter fare. Union Viet is small and casual and delicious. We even had out first Hanoi beer which was quite good.

As I said before not only great food and a lovely family but now also with gluten free beer. Thank you!

Staying in a nearby hotel and decided to go here for dinner based on the positive reviews. I love Vietnamese food. The reviews made me think this was going to be the best I have had. It was good, but no different than Vietnamese restaurants I have at home. I did really like the morning Glory. Had never had that before and it was very flavorful.

The four of us had a great diner, tasting authentic vietnamese dishes and enjoying the charming service. Beautiful food.

Visited with a couple of friends and had the best tasting (and looking) summer rolls and a phenomenal lotus stem salad. Union Viet feels like home dining thanks to the casual and friendly service and vibe. A definite recommendation if you like southern vietnamese specialities.

My husband and I were lucky enough to visit Vietnam a couple of years ago and we loved the food. It's so difficult to find fantastic Vietnamese food here. But this place is perfect. We had pork spring rolls and wonderful fresh summer rolls with prawns and mint. Rick then had shaken beef jasmine rice and morning glory. The beef was beautiful and succulent. I had the special fried rice which was delicious. We finished with steamed coconut bun and an avocado and peanut smoothie yummy! We had a bottle of wine and 2 beers and it was a bargain at just £92!

Had bbq pork with noodles and peanuts. My gf had these mini pancakes with prawns on top... Really good and original food for my first Vietnamese experience

Fantastic place, authentic dishes and reasonable prices. I'm Vietnamese and it's a taste of home comforts for me! Staff are lovely and welcoming without being too overbearing.

Went here for breakfeast with my wife. Good and polite customer service. We ordered fresh summerrolls and beef pho. It tasted amazing and like homemade by mom. A must try! We also ordered some steam buns for takeaway, looking forward to it.

We ate here yesterday. We'd just arrived to London and I had actually googled this little gem of a restaurant. The lady owner was so lovely as was her beautiful young daughter who helped me choose from the menu. We had spring rolls with germacilli rice noodles and salad. So beautiful. We plan to go back tomorrow again before we leave London.

We had dinner here early one evening before a performance at the Bunker Theatre around the corner. It was possible at 6 p.m. to walk in without a reservation. At first we went past because the frontage just doesn't look like a restaurant. There were Vienamese people eating in, which I took to be an indication of authenticity. I had a bowl of round noodles with rare beef in a spicy soup, washed down with a Hanoi beer. I enjoyed it, though the noodles were a little bland. Excellent service.

My first experience of Vietnamese food. It's simple, tasty, fresh and certainly look healthy. The staple meal is Pho, a chicken broth with noddles and chicken or beef, pork or tofu. There are also curries which lack the richness of Thai or spicy taste of Indian.

Enjoyed dinner at "Union Viet" tasting the traditional soup with round noodles and beef, itwas very tasty and a bit spicy. Sipped a Saigon and an Hanoi beers, both good.Took away some summer rolls, also good.

Heard from work colleagues that this place is a real gem, so went there this lunchtime. Union Viet is awesome. Friendly staff, super quick service, pretty reasonable prices and the food is off the chart. I had an amazing prawn papaya salad and spring rolls.

I’ve walked by many times and recently noticed they now open in the evening. Really glad I stopped and ate here. The menu isn’t huge but that’s good because the quality is high. I had spring rolls and noodle soup. All freshly cooked and full of flavour. Service is prompt and the cost close to £15 including a drink. A fresh tasting alternative to try. I’ll be back

We came here for some pho and were pleasantly surprised. The pho was pretty good as the soup was piping hot. Long queue during lunch so come early. Highly recommended!

I love Vietnamese food and whenever I go I like to go around the city and try to find the best traditional Vietnamese pho. Well, after trying many pho chains and other small "wannabe" Vietnamese restaurants, I finally found the one. Union Viet is absolutely the best Vietnamese restaurant in London. You can tell that the staff and owners put a lot of thought into each and every dish and you won't be dissappointed.

Häufig findet man vietnamesische Restaurants zugleich auch andere Regionalküchen, Chinesisch oder gar Sushi, was einfach nicht funktioniertt. Dieses Restaurant richtet sich zum Glück allein auf vietnamesische Gerichte, sehr authentisch laut meiner vietnamesischen Kollegin, aber in jedem Fall ausgesprochen lecker und obendrein preiswert. Für mich der Lackmus-test sind die summer-rolls: häufig leicht angetrocknet, jedenfalls nicht wirklich frisch. Zweimal hier gegessen, beide Male frisch und lecker. Einziger Nachteil sind die etwas ungünstigen Öffnungszeiten, d.h. der Laden schliesst relativ früh.

Después de un viaje a la Tate Modern buscamos un almuerzo rápido y barato opción que no sería comida rápida. Así que encontramos este lugar y cumplía cada cuadro para nosotros. La comida era deliciosa y sabía auténtica (hemos estado en Vietnam y tienen la comida allí en la memoria buena). El personal también era muy agradable y servicial y el lugar tenía un buen diseño.

Love the food - fresh, clean and full of flavour and the family and staff are so friendly and helpful. We live locally and look forward to our weekly fix of bbq pork, coconut chicken and a chat!
