Gorgeous building. Warm welcome, the Thai food looked very nice (had just eaten so didn’t get to try any) but the Guinness was delicious. Friendly service too. A great Irish pub!

Great little place. Come here sometimes for lunch with my colleagues. Bagettes in Borough Market cost more than a curry here so all in all good value. Clean loos too :-)

Good Thai food, reasonably priced beer, but the pub is very, very noisy

Food was decent, Guinness excellent. Two small gripes, most food ran out and we were left with 'what they had', and I disagree with an automatic service charge where it's a buffet and you have to order at the bar. Service for what exactly?

Ordered food for 6. After 10 mins, got told the food would take 20more mins, 40mins later had to ask when the food was coming and got told the chef went home. Beer was good but come-on telling customers food is never coming after waiting 12:30-2pm for it and not getting any alternative is just disrespectful.

Friday lunchtime, in as the doors opened, big bowl of Thai yumminess, a couple of Corona Ceros and a cheeky can or two of Guinness 0.0. Out before the office crowd piled in. Nice. Now go and work out a way of getting Guinness 0.0 on tap please.

Fantastic experience in a fully packed pub at rush hour, came for diner, the efficient staff just told us to grab a table. After 30mn enjoying our drink we eventually grabbed one, and the staff came right away to serveus. Good Pad Thai, good beer, good music, good "ambiance"....what else

Very popular and very busy. Seems to be a good place if you can stand the noise. You ate unable to talk you have to scream at each other. Other than that go!

Really accommodating, squeezed a big group of us in last minute. Food was good. Not as hot as previously. There was an error made but they corrected it quickly and without a fuss.

Gorgeous local pub - feels kinda like the peaky blinders saloon, especially with the cosy snug. Perfect for catching up with friends or a cosy date. The staff are also lovely and helpful whenever I go in - and go the extra mile. I did a treasure hunt for my sister’s birthday and the barman even helped surprise her with one of the clues. Shout out to the team who were working here January 6th!!

I love this pub. The walls are covered in pictures that I'm told are all relates to the family's history. A great selection of gin and craft beer is on offer. Go on a Saturday night for live Irish music, or go in the day to watch the sport. Best if all is some of the most traditional Thai cooking I've found in London. One of the best pubs in London

One of the best pubs in London. Always a great atmosphere, welcoming and local vibe. Very good service at all times. Thai food is a good deal at lunch times too.

I love certain things in a pub. A warm atmosphere, wood panelling and classic Guinness are three of these things. And this pub has them all. If you don't like this place, you don't like pubs.

However I’ve been trying to make a group booking and I’ve phoned more than 20 times over several days, and sent two emails and had no response? Decent Irish pub. Didn't eat so judging purely on service and atmosphere, most on the atmosphere, service was great.

Didn't eat here so I can't speak to the food. The pub seems old style, which is very cool. Lots of different seating, friendly staff and a nice selection of beer. I noticed a beer garden in the back too.

Probably one of the most "UnIrish" bars I have ever been in and I,ve been in dozens all over the globe! No atmosphere is an understatement, also bleak and uncomfortable and bizarrely doesn't serve any food between 3 and 5 pm. Craft beer pub up the other side of Union St considerably better and friendlier.

One of the gems in London, for anyone looking for a great Irish pub. Guinness is very good and randomly enough, they serve fantastic Thai food. Highly recommend

Found this gem of a place, randomly. The whole team were lovely, friendly and welcoming. The place was spotlessly clean. Guinness was lovely. We had food during our visit. This was lovely. We visited on a Saturday and stayed for the live music. This was great. The place was hopping. Definitely coming back again.

I'm a big fan of all the mc and son owned pubs in London, but this one has the best Thai food. It's a busy, friendly bar in the evenings with lots of atmosphere and live Irish music Saturday nights. The decor is modern traditional and staff are always lovely and friendly too. Good selection of beers etc. A firm favourite

Solid place, great food. Decent Guinness but not the best in London in my opinion.

Went there for the first time a few weeks ago with a group of friends. It was a busy Saturday evening with great food although the staff was very busy so it was a bit of a wait. But they are very friendly, each and single one of them. Live music with a pint after a meal is very entertaining. Big shout-out to a Sax player! 👏

Brilliant atmosphere, great service and awesome pub that somehow also serves Thai food. The food portion is slightly small and tasted quite homey but would definitely recommend as an experience.

Well popped in yesterday after a while and have had to edit my previous post but left it on still, as i say honest guy likes a good pint so take it how you will but come on Mc&sons £6.60 a pint even the guinea grill in mayfair isn't charging that and the faltering fullback is still £5.30 a pint. Thats london for you is the answer i got from the friendly bar staff when i questioned it (NO ITS NOT) thats just a rip off, just as good Guinness in other pubs around town (see my posts) so come on Mc&sons sort it out, ( previous post when £6 a pint)Not the cheapest but the best Guinness in London, great atmosphere and food too. Great friendly pub

Really good vibes in this Irish pub just by borough station. It has an interesting extensive Thai food menu and good beer selection! There is even live Irish music every Wednesday and Saturday too. If you are around the area, you shouldn't definitely stop by!

formerly recommend this pub to everyone. went in for a pint and some lunch and barmaid added £3+ plus to order. very very disappointing behaviour from an 'irish' bar. i wont be back and will advise others not to go. what a shame :(

A hidden Thai food kitchen serving up generous portions of scrumptious food at low cost @ lunchtime. I've always wondered why you don't get those cardboard boxes with noodles seen in American films and shows. This place is the first one ever I've come across that does! Highly recommended!

If you are in the area pop in. Save your time and money don't go out of you way to visit. No tables available so we had a drink and left.

A good selection of drinks, reasonably priced. Friendly service with a smile. Live Irish music affeed to great atmosphere. Dissapointed, the Thai food was quite bland, a fishy aftertaste from most of the starters and sauces. A shame not an Irish menu available.

This weekend we ate at the Savoy and Boccochino in Knightsbridge - the combined total of both meals being over £600. I would hand on heart, if given the option in the future, choose to eat and drink here as apposed to either of the former and I'm not kidding. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and absolutely amazing Thai food - better flavours and more satisfying/fulfilling than anything else we'd eaten all weekend. I'm not sure the name of the dish I had, but it was the award winning chicken noodle dish for about 15 quid. Absolutely fantastic. The place is full of loads of different types of people, from families with kids, to students, up to seasoned regulars, let's call them... But it's welcoming and you're not looked up and down when you enter, even as a 'non-local'. Without a shadow of a doubt we'll be back next time. Well done all.

Great place for food and great pint of guinness

In terms of decor, food and beer range this is currently one of the best options in this area. This means that at peak times it does get extremely busy though, so make sure you get there early

I like this bar - warm, friendly, a proper Irish bar - in my opinion, having grown up myself in Ireland and owning a pub there / not kitsch at all - and of course Thai food with Guinness is inspired!

We ordered two types of noodles and both were excellent! The dessert was also very good. I'll definitely be back!

Pub was ok, fairly full with not many seats available lunchtime. Guinness at £7 a pint. Much too expensive. Cheaper pubs within 10 minutes.

Not taking the head of the queen of england as paper legal tender gives me one more excuse to wipe my beautiful behind with her ugly smile. Really fun Irish pub with amazing Thai food.

Amazing thai experience from the king of Irish Thai, Johnny Rice. We shared the Larb Gai, minced chicken salad but next time, I aint sharing. This is the highlight dish. Chiang mai chicken and drunken noodles washed down with a couple of pints on a monday night. Cant ask for any better. ***** Cant wait for the sister pub/restaurant to open in Vauxhall.
