We had a lovely dinner here this evening. Waiter was quick and friendly (sorry, didn’t catch his name). Food was delicious, big portions and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!
We ordered the burrata and tomatoes starter and when it came it was not Buratta it was cheap plastic mozzarella. No mention of this when brought to the table and no apology until we asked the waitress who didn’t know what the cheese was. If you don’t have something on the menu this should be made explicitly clear when the order is taken.
I was invited to a birthday party this weekend and found myself at a bar I’d never been to before—and won’t be visiting again. While the private party room was pleasant and we managed to create a good atmosphere, the bar itself left much to be desired.
To start, the drink quality and pricing were absolutely outrageous. I ordered a Gin and Tonic, which is my usual choice. They used a bottle labelled Gordon’s, but I am certain it wasn’t genuine Gordon’s gin. The tonic was an unnamed, inferior brand. They served this in a small 200ml plastic glass and charged me an extortionate £7.90. Knowing that my body reacts poorly to cheap alcohol, I decided to switch to a bottle of Prosecco, which cost me £30. Although the Prosecco was mediocre at best, it was a slight improvement over the gin.
I can’t help but wonder why so many young people in Exeter end up unwell after nights out, given the poor quality drinks sold at exorbitant prices in some bars. For me, this bar is definitely one to avoid in the future. I haven't tried any food, and I wont even going to try.
Wasn't having a good day. Visited Birdy's and my mood changed. Extremely friendly staff, Birdy herself and another lady. My doggies were offered snacks and made welcome. There was a water bowl for them. We sat outside and listened to the boats, seagulls and general background conversation. The tables and chairs were very clean and there was just something about the whole atmosphere. I felt more able to negotiate the hustle and bustle that is Blakeney. Thank you, both.
We'd heard about The Tinker's Granddaughter through a friend and so decided to try it out for ourselves and booked the Sunday Roast Club - we were not disappointed!
The service was friendly and welcoming and the food was incredible. It was our first time trying Juicy Marbles steaks and I have to say, they were the best meat substitute I've ever had.
The only downside was that the room was quite crammed. We ordered first and by the time our food was served, people were still queuing right behind us to order theirs - which I understand is unavoidable but did hinder the experience a bit.
I also treated myself to a tiramisu to take away, which again was the best plant based tiramisu I've had.
We loved the experience so much that we've already booked again for June!
Pure Pasta is in Saint Nicholas Market and is run by a lovely, friendly, Italian couple.
The food is tasty and excellent value, whether you take away or eat inside the small unit/the couple of tables just outside.
The pair of us left feeling pleasantly full and with change from £20 despite having a couple of 'starters', main meals and a can of diet coke each.
I visited 3Mien today for lunch made my booking online and stuff was very nice over the phone. Called today I would like to change my booking one hour later and they didn't find any problem about it. I visited the cafe with my parents who are visiting me in UK. They loved the food flavour. I had a very big portion of rare beef pho, my mum some aubergine and tofu with rice and dad stewed beef with rice. We were well full up after but not in a bad way. Food was delicious and right balanced. O was visiting Viet Nam last year and can confirm food was very authentic and quality was great. We had Hanoi and Saigon beers which were very nice cold. The cafe is small but very comfy. Very relaxing atmosphere they also play some relaxing classic music on the speakers. Right volume and staff is super welcoming and friendly. Thanks so much for your delicious food, not scamming us and making us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed your food and place. Will definitely come back to try more of your dishes
Cám ón! 🇻🇳❤️
The worst meal in a restaurant I have ever had, dirty plates, stone cold food, overpriced wine. Staff not washing their hands after going to the toilet.
