Delightful little café in the heart of Brighton’s famous Lanes. An impressive menu of cakes and light lunch bites for its size with lovely seating area upstairs, bar stools downstairs or outside seating in warmer weather. Board games available to borrow and play during your visit should you wish. Busy, bright Brighton themed decor which adds to the lovely atmosphere. Drinks and cakes were delicious and a good price. And the toilets were beautiful too - always a good indicator of a quality establishment. 😉

The toasties here make a fantastic lunch, they’re absolutely delicious and the people who run it are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Really super toasted sandwiches!

We stumbled across this cafe on a day trip to Brighton and loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful (we were given a little taster of one of the sauces they use), the coffee was great (nice and strong without a bitter after-taste) and the toasted sandwiches were extremely good. The Spicy One, as it’s called on the menu, was perfection.

Lovely little lunch stop. Very friendly staff, nice vibes, and delicious toasties! Tucked out the way and glad we found them.

Stopped for a coffee and were struck by the friendly atmosphere and excellent coffee and hot chocolate that we returned the next day for lunch. Toasties was substantial and delicious and the carrot and coriander soup was a tasty option. All in all, a great independent coffee house and restaurant and very worth a visit.

The location is not easy to find. But if you want peace and quiet, this is a perfect place. The service was good! Coffee was alright and the Maltesers Slice with white choc (I’m not sure of the name) it’s was yummy!

Super little cafe/sandwich place off main street. Loaded toasties are incredible, absolutely stuffed with fresh ingredients in crusty bread. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, helpful owners. Outdoor tables in a little square.

Absolutely delicious!!! And the most lovely women served me. I sat outside with my son, he had a slice of butter toast and she bought him out some water. I had a coffee and the 4 green toastie.. something like that. I'm excited to go back and try some different ones.

Had a lovely brunch at Brand Sixteen today whilst sat in the sun in their outdoor setting. The service was great and we got our food and drinks really quickly. ‘The Italian one’ toastie was absolutely delicious, one of the best! Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming here again!

Had such a fantastic lunch break at this gem of a cafe. There is a big variety of vegan options and they are such a lovely couple working in there, they would most probably do you something off menu if you had specific dietary requirements. I was made to feel welcome, asked about my day and ended up having a really lovely conversation with the owners. The food is delicious- healthy quick food which fuels you for the rest of the day! Really fresh ingredients which makes such a difference! The surroundings are very clean, the interior is rustic and cosy and overall really lovely vibes. 10/10 💕 can’t wait to come back! You are officially The Bad Gal Salons fav lunch break spot!

I was very disappointed in the service I received here. After a girlie shopping trip with my mother was turned up to a very dead cafe thinking we would be served straight away with food. Sadly after ordering and paying over 30 minutes later was then told they didn't have what we ordered. They said it wasn't there fault and had no solution to this either. There was no apology and actually were rude about it and made us feel like it was our fault. We asked for a full refund, which we did receive, but with a lot of attitude. I will never be recommending this place to anyone.

Such a Nice coffee shop right at the station with such an amiable barista greeting me enthusiastically !!! He was nice and allowed me to take his photo as well. I am so glad that couldn’t resist to write a good review for him and the shop. The coffee also tastes good as well. This is the shop You should not miss when you are at Brighton Station.

One of the best places I have found! Always in Brighton & haven't found something as fast & as tasty as Brand Sixteen. Super easy to find & perfect for a quick bite to eat between meetings. Will be coming back with client to meet here in the future.

Review of Brand Sixteen 'Tragedy' in Brighton Station Their Google isn't up yet so taking my review here instead. Hopefully same brand so please lmk if not affiliated. Unfortunately not good at all. Very sad microwaved look and tasting bacon brioche for a gulping £3.99. Actually quite enraged that they would sell Brioche as a section of the menus and completely destroy them by heating them in a type if microwave. Whatever they did to it it came out soggy sad and really tasteless. On top of that I was the only one in the shop and still was asked to put my own sauce in... after having just watched the server assemble it ... why didn't he ask me what sauce I want and do it for me rather than make me handle a steaming microwaved brioche?!?! Flat white £3.20 aggressively poured into an ugly foam, so clearly haven't been trained to make coffee. It's also bitter and not good in general. Should have gone next door and got a flat white from Pret twice the size for an extra 5p and much tastier. Parting with £7.20 for a sad microwaved excuse for a bacon roll and a small bad flat white... is actually quite offensive during a cost of living crisis. Very sad that this has replaced the awesome Bagelman. They need to sort it out. Wish I could get my money back.

Lovely place to stay and to relax with friendly staff

Nice setting, however, I feel the price here for food did not reflect what was served to me. I ordered a bacon and avocado brioche which cost me £7.70- the brioche was tiny, there was one piece of bacon on there, when there should have been three and the avocado tasted like one out of a supermarket bottle- not fresh. If I’m honest, the prices I feel are extortionate for what you actually are given- I would not eat here again- I went to much better quality for money places in Brighton.

Paid £16 for 2 milkshakes and some waffles the waffles were average, the milkshakes were vile the strawberry milkshake had a gross after taste and wasnt thick AT ALL definitely nott a fresh strawberry milkshake wont be recommending.

Nice location set on Dukes Lane, off Ship St - lots of outdoor seating away from cars and fumes. Went in on Sunday afternoon at around 2.30 pm for a takeaway coffee - no customers but 4-5 staff all behind the counter - no one chose to acknowledge my presence or show any interest in taking an order, so I left without ordering. Very unsatisfactory.

The special little spot of a thousand smiles. Incredibly joyous and honest welcome. Great food and service. A truly wonderful hidden gem. Go visit and tip as they are worth it

We went there as a group, all of us had a sandwich and a drink. Sandwiches were alright - BRT unfortunately did not have any mayo and later after requesting mayo in the sandwich they said they are out. Latte was a little too strong for our taste - felt like it was really lacking milk. Edit: didn't see the advertisement for double shot anywhere. 3 of us who took coffee and found that too strong and nobody knew it is double shot

The owners are just lovely, realy needed the loo (super clean by the way) then got a takeaway latte that was delicious 😋. Definatly pop back in next time im in Brighton .Thank you so much for helping us with advice on where to find a crystal shop in the lanes. 🥰

I approached Brand Sixteen quite last minute about accommodating a large family gathering & they were superb. They have a fabulous upstairs area where we sat comfortably & the staff, service, food & drinks were excellent. Staff were happy, helpful & professional. The avocado & bacon doorstep sandwiches & paninis were delicious as were the brownies & cakes. It was also perfect that there was pots of tea alongside Prosecco, beers & even Aperols to accommodate everyone’s needs. Highly recommend this fab cafe in the heart of the Lanes.

Lovely visit to Brand Sixteen. My wife stumbled upon this place whilst taking a walk through the lanes and advised we go there for lunch. It was a very hot day so, we were lucky to have a seat outside with a parasol. Food was lovely. I had a bacon,avacado and egg stack. My wife enjoyed a toastie. Coffee was nice too... Food was served with a smile, professional presentation with a smile. Pricing was not over the top and we felt well fed when we left. Next time we are Brighton, we know where to go for a nice bite and will most definatly recommend to friends and family. Thank you 😁👍

A hidden gem in the lanes. The food is lovely and reasonably priced. It’s a great sun trap outside and good vibes upstairs. The staff are very friendly and owners are incredibly welcoming. Highly recommended.

Amazing selection of cocktails that taste just as good as they sound and the fresh chunky sandwiches always hit the spot! Staff are always very chatty and friendly too which is great.

Yesterday was the third or fourth time I've eaten in Brand Sixteen, and the staff, food, and drinks have been fantastic on all occasions. There aren't many cafes in Brighton that offer outdoor seating, but it's in a quiet and picturesque part of the lanes - perfect for lunch while in the sun. Highly recommend visiting whether you're with friends, family, or fancy taking a break from a long day of shopping. 10/10!!

Cute little café with lovely and exceptionally acomadating staff. Coffee was a little more than I'm used to paying in Brighton though but I'm sure the rent is high given its location. Also played the beatles a little too much. Otherwise a lovely place to read for a while.

My best friend and I sat for 3 hours and did our assignment. Not only was it a comfortable working space but the beer was nice and cold. We had the Nachos… amazing. The owners are lovely and the staff is super friendly 🤗🤗

Got the fully loaded toastie and side of fries, best toastie I've ever had and the fries were great too. Staff were also very helpful, overall great experience and lovely atmosphere at brand sixteen eateries.

Expensive, disorganised. How can you burn chips??? 😵 Staff unapproachable - we had to find the menu ourselves, rather than being offered one. Took ages to be served (3 cold drinks & chips). Chips were burnt!!! Couldn't get staff attention. When I went into the cafe to pay - very disorganized & didn't seem at all interested in customers. And YES it was expensive, even for the area.

We had a lovely time at Brand sixteen, the coffee was delicious, the granola triangle was so tasty. The staff were lovely, smiling, friendly and attentive. The toilet was immaculate. Will definitely visit again when I am next Brighton.

This is a lovely peaceful cafe with really friendly staff, LOADS of gluten free and vegan options, and great tasting drinks and cake. I had a chai latte with oat milk and a slice of gluten free cherry and almond cake (not vegan), both were delicious. The cake was possibly the best cake I've tasted in a cafe, gluten free or otherwise -- very moist and light, with a sweet delicate flavour. I sat upstairs and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing. The music they were playing was at a low volume and it wasn't busy. There was a more bustling atmosphere outside where most people were sitting, it looked great but we were in the mood for quiet and the upstairs seating was perfect. The only things I would say is that the only vegan milk they provide is oat milk, which was fine by me as I like it, but it may not be great for people who want more variation. It was slightly pricey (came to nearly £15 for two slices of cake and two chai lattes) but I think it was worth it for the quality of the food and the service.

We sat outside and it was lovely, waffles were delicious, and my ham (which was really thickly cut may I add) and cheese toastie was so good. It was reasonably priced, the service was great and the woman who served us was lovely. Not a bad word to say and really glad we visited on our holiday. Drinks were lovely too, I'm not sure why there aren't many more reviews on this place!

Came across this absolute gem of a bar, great drinks and a drag act to provide the entertainment. If you haven't already discovered this place then you are missing out. The staff were great and moved a few tables around to get us in. Sometimes the best nights are the least expected
