A quiet authentic hand-pulled noodle restaurant off the beat but well worth a visit. Delicious chewy noodles made fresh on site, with a wide range of topping options. I had the beef noodle soup with thick noodles, and paid another £2 for extra greens. The soup is super garlicky and fragrant, the noodles were perfect, and the beef and veg tasty and tender. I also added a dollop of chilli oil to up the spice. Even the small size option was a huge amount of food! I'll definitely be back for lunch again. The freshly made noodles are excellent

Says what on the tin! This was my second time at authentic hot pot & hand noodles. I had beef shin w thick noodle broth & it was just what I wanted in this horrid English weather. The thick chewy noodles partnered with the delicate broth was wonderful and the raw garlic and chopped coriander lightend the dish. I will definitely be back can’t wait to try some else next time.

Very authentic, reminds me of the good Asian food I get back in Melbourne. Ordered the hand pulled noodles in sauce with beef shin. Great flavour, would recommend. Lovely staff too

This place is a hidden gem! The portion sizes are amazing, the flavour is amazing, and don’t even get me started on the dumplings! Definitely the best dumplings I’ve had in Bristol and amazing value for money. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some tasty food!

Such a self-service hot pot meal plus two Wong Lao Ji cost me 40 pounds in cash. It is more expensive than London, so be careful before entering.

I order the food from Deliveroo today. The food was perfect previously, but now it taste super salty and I can’t see any chili oil at all ( at all). I am so disappointed now. Pls, change the recipes or change the current chief who prepare it . I want the old taste back.

❤️Food is amazing. Let’s just start with that. But if you are expecting 5* service and restaurant, you might want to skip this place. If you have never eaten in no frills-asian place you will be disappointed, BUT if you are after FRESH delicious noodles, spicy, with a bite, full of herbs broth you are in for a treat! Staff doesn’t speak english but it doesnt matter, you can order via QR code at your table. Food arrived in 10minutes. Noodles were amazing. We will be back for more ❤️🔥

This would have been a 5* review had the bill not been quite shocking. We wanted hotpot which we knew they did but it wasn't on any of the menus. It's a bit chaotic in there where you have to get everything yourself including cutlery, drinks etc but we didn't mind as the food was delicious and everything else on the menu looked like amazing value so we're happy to sort ourselves out given the prices seemed low. Sadly, after agreeing what a nice dinner we had, we asked for the bill and was charged £80 for two person hot pot. No drinks or anything. On discussion with the staff who were friendly, they explained using Google translate that hotpot is £40 per person but you can get whatever you want veg wise from the fridges (although half of the fridge items were empty,) and unlimited meat. We ordered beef and pork. The beef came and was a large portion so when the pork never showed we didn't mind. We didn't leave hungry or angry, but feel quite disappointed that the hotpot was so much more money than everything else and we didn't really get the service you'd expect for £40 a head restaurant. It's a shame because I was about to recommend the place to friends before my partner came back with the bill. It is good, but be aware of the cost.

Nice hotpot and hand pulled noodles at the end! Ask for noodle and the chef will pop it in your hot pot broth- best part of the meal. Been here several times and they never disappoint us. Always feel welcomed, will visit to try noodles menues soon.

There was a piece of gravel in the minced pork dish I had ordered! It's a miracle that I didn't break my teeth on it! I'll be reporting this to the Food Standards Agency if I don't hear back from the restaurant.

Fantastic food - you can watch the chef make your noodles while you wait! You'll be given a menu and then order via QR code (helps in case of language barrier). The black fungus and cucumber salads were my faves.

Food was delicious. Watched our noodles be hand pulled in front of us and they did not disappoint. The dumplings were lovely (pork buns were especially good!). Beef was a bit chewy but we still enjoyed every bite. So reasonably priced for the quantity of food as well, will 100% be coming back to explore more of the menu.

i’ve ordered hotpot , the food was terrible , a lot of meats are not fresh , but the veggies and tofu are alright. The shop is a bit dirty , there’s a few flies around us while we are eating. 別來吧

It may not be much to look at, but the food at this Korean eaterie is fabulous. Home made shaved noodles made right in front of you? Now, that's rare in the UK. Not often experienced in the UK either is the cold broth or sauce, a fermentation of chilli tempered with a light soy, beef broth and steamed garlic. It's a delight to be served, as I was, a huge plate of fresh noodles with slices of tender beef in cold broth. As a side, I had seaweed in cold sauce, which I drew through the noodles. A hint of chilli heat offset the cooling broth, through which the bite of the noodles and the delicate beef broth and sea kelp sang. Just genius. Generous portions and great prices. Go.

Really lovely service, easy to order via QR code and comfy seating. Large variety of drinks and a few different veggie options! I opted for the noodles and vegetables in sauce, would have liked a little more veg but other than that the portion size was good and great flavours. Opted for mild though chilli oil etc. is available on each table so I could adjust to my preference! Staff also provided a take away box for me to take my left overs home, really lovely will definitely visit again!

The place have a bit of questionable food storage. For example, they stored the coriander with the raw meat. Also, the raw meat are stored in open containers and some of the tongs are reused among multiple meats. Also, the hotpot quite pricey at £40 per person. They serve sea food which partially offset the high cost.

Not suggested. The food was terrible, my noodle was served with chicken thigh but berly chopped. It tastes like water boiled. The service is unbelievable. The fat guy was always complaining about were we should put our bags and where we should seat. 总之，难吃，服务奇差，千万别来

Definitely the worst Chinese restaurant we’ve ever tried! No matter of the food or the waiter’s attitude, are all weird and disgusting… We’ll never go back again!

I was very unhappy with the service. There was a waiter who was very tall, about 183-190cm, and had a very bad attitude. Always arrogantly criticizing customers. They will also make sarcastic comments when passing by. His attitude was simply intolerable. If you want to be laughed at, I highly recommend this restaurant. (But please note, this has nothing to do with the chef.). I'm shocked by so many good reviews. I really don't know if they have different attitudes towards different customers.

Lovely place first time trying hand pulled noodles went with my Chinese friend which she enjoyed as well,and she is fussy when it comes to Chinese food,great choice on the menu and even got hot pot as well definitely recommend if you're in Bristol staff are brilliant and very friendly also licenced for beer and other drinks etc can't wait to go back.

This slaps. Been a few times now and keep going back to the vegetable soup with thick hand pulled noodles. Gorgeous garlicky broth with fresh greens and a with a hint of numbing Schezuan pepper oil. Noodles are pulled to order, perfectly chewy and filling. Really cool they've got several vegan / vegetarian options. Lovely staff. You can order and pay via your phone from the table.

Another spot that has been on my list for a while. As soon as I walked past and saw the noodles being pulled to order I knew it was gonna be legit. The flavours were amazing. Highly recommend the pork belly and chicken leg starters, the meat was cooked incredibly. Fresh and tasty noodles in a delicious broth. I wish I had come sooner!! Portion sizes were great too, went for the large and the noodles didn’t stop!

It is an authentic restaurant. Portion sizes are decent. The bf got the beef noodles, which were tasty. I got the pork belly soup, which was well sized and nice. It's good that you can choose which noodles you want, and you can order hot pot.

We went on opening day a while ago and the food and service was simply phenomenal. Most authentic food we've had in Bristol. We'd never had hot pot before but the lady did her best explaining how it should be done. We are going there again soon as we both miss it!

Nice authentic restaurant a short walk from castle park. It's a bit tucked away so you have to make an effort just to go there but I think it's worth it just to see and hear the chef slapping fresh noodles about. Service was relatively quick, you can order from the table via a QR code or traditionally through a human. The staff were very friendly and smiley, decent prices and good, tasty food. I had thick noodles which are about 3mm thick, a large was very filling for lunch, I'd recommend the knife cut noodles (more ribbon like) for a lighter meal.

They have just received a 1 star health rating from the food safety authority. Last time I was there it didnt feel clean and the cutlery was all dirty. Nope can’t be doing this, not until they clean up their act.

You can see them making the noodles fresh on the day. Great family-run atmosphere, flavourful dishes, large portions. We very much enjoyed discovering this truly authentic restaurant.

The hand pulled noodle was sooo fresh, we could even see how they make the noodle, it's like a little show for the customers. But to be honest my favorite was the side dish called beef shin in spicy sauce. It was so flavourful I wished I had a bowl of rice to finish all of the sauce with.

The noodles are made freshly right there for each order and taste amazing. Service is fast and portions are big. The staff was super friendly. Will definitely visit again when we are in Bristol!

Went on a weekday lunchtime. Had the chicken soup with flat noodles. Went with 2 friends - one had beef and the other had a vegan option. Food was good- big portions. Service was fast with a good atmosphere.

Best Lanzhou ramen ( hand pulled) noodles I ever had in the UK. It’s literally the same taste you get from home. Why? The noodle chef worked in Lanzhou more than decades, and made his name in London. The owner Ms Zhang is very friendly and generous lady, she worked hard to start this business and hoping to bring the home taste to Bristol.

Absolutely incredible service, staff are very friendly and remembered us from over a month ago! Food is amazing and easily the best noodles I've ever had in my life. Good vegetarian options as well as meat options, unsure about gluten free or vegan though. We had an assistance dog with us and they were very accommodating and brought her water to drink. Could not recommend this place more!

This place is my favourite noodle shop in the UK. Really generous portions of authentic, aldente hand pulled noodles and side dishes that remind me of home. Lots of complex flavours and all of their dishes are beautifully seasoned. The soup with the noodles are not spicy but they have a pot of chilli oil and a bottle of black vinegar on the table so you can customise it. Service was also phenomenal. Really lovely hostess who was attentive and accommodating to dietary requirements (my partner is vegan) and the chef was also lovely. You can watch him make the noodles in the kitchen and the place seems very clean in general - I've seen the odd comment here and there saying they had diarrhoea afterwards but I've been quite a few times now and it's not been a problem.

This is the most authentic noodle shop I’ve had in Bristol. Hand pulled to order, fresh, and spicy (can ask for no spice if prefer a mild taste), it’s worth going out of your way to eat here. Simple, tasty, no frills authentic knife shaved noodles! Shared 1 bowel of noodles between 2, had a top up of soup for free. Run by a middle aged ?couple. This hand-pulled noodle place is tucked away on a quieter street but it is a little gem. The chef makes the noodles on the counter in front of the kitchen and it isn't showy. We ordered from the QR code on the table with English available. I definitely believe the soup-based noodles are superior to the sauce-y ones. I had the pork belly soup with thick noodles. They were not uniform in thickness demonstrating it is definitely homemade! Good bite with a clear broth - just enough depth in flavour. The sides were yummy too. Cucumbers are a must. I would only say the drinks on offer are a bit of a letdown. Standard bottled drinks you can find in the local Chinese grocer. Service was excellent as well.

Came here to suprise my hongkonger wife. Hoping it would be a taste from home for her. It's was this and more, she was delighted. Absolutely authentic Asia style hotpot with a great selection of ingredients to cook. Wonderfully helpful lady owner. We tried some of the noodles that are made fresh in front of you. These were the smoothest and tastiest noodles we have ever had. We will be back for a proper try of the noodle dishes. Very highly recommended. We both wish the owners the greatest success.

Delightful service from the lady and gent running the place, absolutely stuffed our faces there. The hand pulled noodles are incredible. Was a little scared of some of the things in the all you can eat hot pot fridge but nothing bad happened! £40 all you can eat (including lamb and pork!), all you can drink soft drinks. They also have some beers but these aren't included in the AYCE. Recommend!

Great friendly service, all the food was made fresh. Comfortable seating and amazing drinks, and all round a great experience. I recommend visiting this place at least once as the culture and food is fantastic. The aroma when you enter the restaurant is beautiful and will definitely leave a great impression. The noodles are freshly made in front of you, I believe it really adds to the authenticity.

Went for hotpot and it was beyond our expectations. Very friendly staff and the food was fresh. I’ve already been back for their hand pulled noodles ramen, it did not disappoint.

Service was too notch. Food was generously portioned. However, the food was lukewarm at best. Strangely, my partner and I ordered similar things (shaved noodles and some type of meat/vegetables - regular) and I got an almost family sized portion of noodles glued together on a large plate swimming in a mild almost cold broth and she got a bowl with the same sort of thing (see above) that was much more manageable (both in size and physically being able to eat it as her noodles weren't glued together).

I've come to Bristol from Plymouth. Found this place while getting off Temple Mead. This restaurant is quite underrated. I've only tried the noodles here since hotpot is in the evening, but even then, the noodles are delicious and 100% authentic. You can also add their homemade chilli oil if you feeling up with the spice. Will definitely come here again. Reasonably priced too by the way.

Came here with my friend and was amazed by the delightful food!! Hand pulled noodles right infront of us and the hostess was the utmost welcoming and generous...very talented noodle chef works there! Truly is an authentic scrumptious experience...don't forget to enjoy the sezchuan chilli oil, its like no other!! The hostess was so accommodating to my allergy requirements and I thougholy enjoyed everything, the noodles are each individual and beautifully textured, true mark of authentic hotpot perfection!!

I went the other day with my friend and we had the best time! The noodles are hand pulled to order and the hot pots were not only quick to be made but also delicious!! The lady running the shop is so kind, warm and welcoming, it felt more like being a valued guest in someone's family kitchen so 10/10 for customer service as well. She also was so considerate and reassuring about my friend's peanut allergy. You also get a massive bowl of noodles for £10.99 that fill you up nicely so it's good value for money. We both will be back soon :)

I had diarrhea after eating with a friend. This is the worst dining experience in Bristol. I have eaten in so many Chinese restaurants and I have never been able to make me suffer from diarrhea and dehydration in one of them. It’s really bad👎

Popped in here with a foodie chum to see what the place is like. We had 3 choices from the lunch menu - a chicken meat starter and a bowl of noodles each. I had the shaved noodles with beef & opted for the smaller portion. Service was cheerfully casual and the food arrived swiftly. We shared the chick meat which I mixed in with the noodles. My impression was I was eating a freshly-prepared bowl of tasty food that was going to prepare me well for an afternoon of sipping craft ales at nearby bars. The beef was one of the cheaper cuts, nicely cooked so that it was a good texture and taste. Likewise the chicken pieces were clearly cut from a real chicken carcass and not the super-bland, breast-meat only you often get in microwave meal eateries. Pieces came complete with skin, fat & cartledge and tasted of chicken! The chicken came in a chili oil sauce that was hot enough to please all but the more serious heat freaks. The broth in my noodle bowl tasted clean and fresh and the pak choi leaves presented a good balance for the meat pieces. The shaved noodles were filling and generous and all-in-all I was pleased to eat a tasty lunch dish, which while nothing special in terms of fancy cuisine, was a really enjoyable meal! The staff were cheerful and friendly and I enjoyed my visit. Come here if you want a quick and filling lunch, based on cheap beef, that has flavour and texture.

Wow, this place actually prepares the nuddles right in front of you. Pulled by hand and fresh is a completely new game for the taste buds 😋 I am having an amazing experience right now with my beef ramen. Once you taste the freshness, I am sure you'll be hooked too.

Went here for lunch to try their hand pulled and shaved noodles. The service was okay. We were encouraged to order and pay online via their website but the platform they were using was incredibly slow. This was probably a server issue and therefore they were not at fault. There was no cutlery laid out on our table and we had to grab these ourselves along with paper napkins from another table. Additionally, no toilet paper in the toilet - it wasn’t like they were too busy to check. The food itself was good but not amazing. The hand pulled noodles in sauce needed additional chilli sauce to give it some much needed flavour. However, the shaved noodles with beef in soup tasted authentic. Portions were good as was the price. It has potential and it’s nice to see a place do shaved noodles as not many restaurants offer this. Definitely has room for improvement on both the service and flavour side.
