Really friendly staff, fresh delicious food. Highly recommend!! Chips are perfect, chicken strips are the best I have had in a long time, kebab is delicious, fish portions are massive and the taster potatoes are a bonus. Really reasonable prices.

Well what can I say! After spending alot of time in Cornwall with amazing fish and chips my standard is pretty high and haven't found anywhere that's great untill today. Best customer service that I've received anywhere of recent. Great atmosphere and customer attentiveness. Fish freshly cooked whilst there. Alot of places the fish is all batter and not fish where as jollys is quite the opposite..all fish and not batter. The portions are great. Enjoyed a Kurdish tea whilst the fish was cooking and also tried the potatoes which also are lovely and some chicken which equally was spot on. 100% recommend for quality and value and service that tops others. Really hope you enjoy as much as I have and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Look forward to returning and would like to say thankyou. My visit was beyond expectation. If your looking for a chip shop in Daventry jolly is the place to go!

The fish was good as was the chips. The batter on the fish was a little soggy

I would highly recommend getting your fish & chips from here especially if you’re gluten intolerant as they have two nights a week where they can cater for you. Me and my friend come regularly on one of the gluten free nights. The fish is amazing and so are the chips, we always eat in and watch the world go by. The guys are so friendly we have a really good time with them. They even bring our coffees to us after we’ve eaten. Honestly the food is consistently delicious and well worth every penny.

No bad, but no cigar!! More importantly, no plaice!! What has become of the little fellow? But hot, fresh cooked, the chips are of the “modern” variety, very good for you with no salt, no fat, almost no taste! Eat them and you’ll live to be 100! ( you won’t, but it will feel like it)

Multiple time we have gone to this place and they offer you a few free roast potatoes sometimes, on multiple occasions we has through the price doesn’t seem right, upon order one time we worked out the prices based on their menus on display and at the end they charged extra for the things that they said were “free” we told them the price was not right and they said to us that we can pay the rest next time we are in. We have not been back since they have been ripping us off

The chicken wrap was absolutely disgusting was too dry and the chips were just mainly batter not chips wouldn't buy from there again

Fantastic food lovely flavour and proper chips. They are mad with their potatoes 🥔 but they are really nice. Staff very polite and lovely happy very clean place.

Jolly fish Bar is a fine restaurant For fish and chips, sausage rolls and fried chicken.I am a regular customer of jolly fish Bar.Its not too much expensive but maintained good hygiene and hospitality from the staff.Kudos.

A mystery how this place gets such high rating reviews. Was here the other week, seemed nice people but a bit over curious about personal details. Food is quantity over quality. Most of it went in the bin (over £10 spent). Chips were not very nice.

have been buying food from this shop for the past couple months and can honestly just say the taste is like no where else, the fish, the chips and the burgers are just the best. We ordered cod and chips once ,food was fresh and delicious and the owner very generous and friendly,lovely people! Massive portions and good value for money. it’s Saturday 21st October and I ordered a quarter pounder burger and the person who served me was so rude and disrespectful and spoke to me without any respect and wrapped up my meal with no consideration for my meal and literally threw it at me.i will go in again but if he’s serving I’ll walk out

A good place to grab food from if your already in town, the staff were nice enough and offered some food samples for their chicken, got my order nice and quick and was serviceable.

Proper chippy. Serving in boxes is the only way to not have soggy chips when you get home. These guys have that down. Chips second only to the orange chips in west mids. Great service, happy to pay forward chips I can't eat, no point in throwing them away. Well worth a visit.

Great food freshly cooked best in town so far

Well looked after by the owner. Stopped on our way back from Banbury on a Tuesday evening. My haddock was excellent. Owner even played the meals up to eat in! Definitely on my list when I'm passing again!

This is the best Fish and chip shop in the area....believe me I have tried them all.The food is freshly cooked so it's always piping hot and also cooked in a spotlessly clean environment. Wouldn't go anywhere else....the owners are always so pleasant and generous with their portions.Cannot fault this establishment and highly recommend you to try it.10 out of 10 and thank you.

Nice, New Fish 🐠 & Chip 🍟 Shop in Daventry, in my opinion they sell the best Fish & Chips in Daventry & all of Northamptonshire. Lovely Fresh tasting Fish 🐠 & they fry it to Order, many other Food options too like Chicken 🐔 & Chips 🍟, the chicken is very succulent and a yummy 😋 coating , good selection of Drinks 🥤 and good card (recyclable) packaging. It must be said too that the staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming when you visit, they also remember you and what you like. Highly recommend 👍🏻5 🌟

Food is always fresh and tasty. A silly "complaint " too many chips. However, one portion of haddock and chips will sort two people! 😋😉

Tried this for the first time. Very seldom have fish and chips in Daventry. Fish was done fresh to order. The skin is still on. Even with this I found it pretty flavourless Chips I beleive was also done to order but again pretty flavourless The curry sauce is already in a pot in the heating compartment. They're small pots and also very bland and not very hot. Everywhere else had it piping hot. I dont think I'll return again

This restaurant stole a package from us. Sad to see small business taking from other other small businesses. Please do not encourage these thieves. Horrible people !!!

I love these guys! Fabulous fish n chips; amazing portions; still hot by the time you get home. There's something for the kids too - even fussy ones! The best part is their customer service. They are so welcoming and appreciative of your custom. They encourage you to try something new with their samples too. It's tempting to want to have their fish n chips everyday!
