My partner and I visited on a Saturday lunchtime. We visited based on the already good reviews, and feedback, and due to it looking like a lovely quaint village pub - and we weren't disappointed! Lovely little pub, good selection of drinks, friendly and welcoming staff, and really great food. My partner had the mussels (in thai green curry sauce), and I had the lamb cutlets. Both were exceptionally good. Starter and deserts were equally delicious. Would highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again!

Great tasting menu here with delicious paired wines. The team are fantastic at explaining the dishes and the work they’ve done to the back garden has pushed it back into our top spot on the local pub list! Will be back (monthly!) - though next time with less wine consumed!

We dropped in here totally unplanned on the way back from Everdon Stubbs woods. It was a real hidden gem and we were so impressed. The staff were really polite and friendly, and couldn't be happier to tweak the menu for my partner who is coeliac and can't have gluten. We both went for two courses and the food was among the best I've eaten anywhere. Good portions, not cheap, but really delicious and interesting choices. I'd go here again in a heartbeat.

The quality and quantity of a Roast beef and Yorkshire Sunday lunch could not have been bettered on Father's day yesterday. Wonderful selection of English vegetables, huge slices of pink roast beef and lashings of gravy. Excellent traditional fare. The menu offered a very interesting selection so I chose 2starters...a salmon and crayfish fish cake and asparagus on a bed of creamed smoked cod's roe. Also Excellent. Service top-notch. Maitre d'hote very attentive. Our only criticism is of the table next to us. In a very crowded small room.....gosh,they did talk loudly! Seated in the corner of the room, Iwasn't aware any music was playing and certainly couldn't hear what my friend was saying.

Glad to see this pub reopened, but not a fan of the new setup. The old landlords always had local beers available so was disappointed to see the generic national choices now available on the bar. Most people seemed to be crowded around the bar with the room around the corner having 2 tables made up for dining and then the rest of the room taken up by people's dogs. Managed to squeeze into a low table after shooing one of the dogs away. Then more dogs came in, each thinking it was acceptable to come right up to my face as I was sitting attempting to enjoy my drink. Luckily we didn't order any food as I cannot imagine it is very hygienic with that amount of dogs sticking their noses on your table. Prices were on the high side and I cannot think of any reasons why we would return.

Went here today lovely setting. Not far from Everdon Stubbs which is beautiful and another reason to go. Only back open a year very nicely done up with a lovely garden that is just having some extra work done. Service great, even though there wasn’t any vegan options I asked if they had anything I could have and they offered me a couple of lovely options. Flat bread with tofu and salad and a nice drizzle of balsamic. It was a starter size which was fine by me. I had tea to drink which they did have any plant milk for but I always take some with me so that still work for me. My husband had the Sunday dinner which he said was good. The only negative is only a little parking at the front so we parked a little way down the road. Don’t think this is something that they can change as it is a small village pub with nowhere to add the space.

A lovely pub tucked away at one end of the picturesque village of Everdon. Outdoors has seating and a good of the Northamptonshire countryside, with a large lawn. Has a daily food menu, real ale, popular local and traditional interior. B & B accommodation. Close to Everdon Stubbs woodland, which currently has a stunning spread of bluebells, also near to Badby woods, another area for woodland walks.

I visited The Plough for dinner together with friends. We have been meeting monthly as a Connoisseurs Dining Club for over 40 years at various venues in Northamptonshire. Last night's dinner was nothing short of sensational ! We had a tasting menu of 5 courses many of which showcased local produce. We all agreed that it was one of the best meals ever ( and some members can be notoriously difficult to please) Add the extensive wine list and excellent service and it was truly a 5 star experience

I have read many favourable reviews for the Plough as a pub and its light lunches but no mention of Saturday night at the Plough which is Vish's Indian meal. This was authentic Indian home cooking. There was a fixed menu with several dishes served as a Thali. There was a lovely balance of a samosa, a chicken dish, a vegetable dish, a dal, a raita, rice and a paratha bread. All dishes were distinct with delicious flavours. The meal was finished with a sweet gulab jamun. This meal was so different from the usual, formulaic Indian restaurant dishes. I cannot recommend it enough.

Hidden away in the lanes of rural Northamptonshire. this is the perfect little village pub; the sort of place that every village ought to have. It's a characterful old stone building, unspoilt inside, with mismatched furniture and a friendly atmosphere and, as you would expect, is very popular with locals who are so lucky to have this as their village pub. A choice of four ales on handpump, includes the excellent locally brewed Gundog Jack Spaniels, another local ale plus two national brands from Cornwall. There's a simple, inexpensive menu, from which I would thoroughly recommend the Everdon Beef Casserole, served with warm crusty bread, attractively priced at just £7.50 and, with beautiful tender beef, is absolutely delicious. They also do a special Indian Supper on Friday and Saturday evenings, which I have not attended myself, but I understand is very popular and suspect you probably have to book for this.

Small party (5 of us) went for our Christmas lunch. Starter was very small. I had the ham hock terrine which should have had Christmas chutney(?) but came with piccalilli. It was nice but 2 small pieces of pitta bread seemed a bit mean. Mains came out and the plates were very cold. The food was tepid and the gravy was also very cold. These were sent back and we were assured fresh meals were being prepared. The mains came out on hot plates and the food was hot. Not entirely certain they hadn't just been microwaved. Desserts were nice enough but nothing to make you say wow. Overall disappointing meal for something that should have been enjoyable. Portions were very small considering the price of the Christmas menu. Background music was too loud.

I would highly recommend getting your fish & chips from here especially if you’re gluten intolerant as they have two nights a week where they can cater for you. Me and my friend come regularly on one of the gluten free nights. The fish is amazing and so are the chips, we always eat in and watch the world go by. The guys are so friendly we have a really good time with them. They even bring our coffees to us after we’ve eaten. Honestly the food is consistently delicious and well worth every penny.
