Came here for our works Christmas party, we ordered a lot of small plates from the tapas menu and every dish was fantastic. I couldn’t fault any of it. The pork belly was so good, the mussels were excellent. I can’t explain how good this place is. Excellent service from a lovely lady. Thank you for a great night.

Second time visiting and bringing friends along but sadly 2 were ill at very short notice but the staff were so kind allowing us to order food to take away despite being towards end of service. Even gave us some soju to help those unwell recover!! We will be back every time we visit York.

Lovely ,glass and superb coffee shop ! Great sandwiches salads and cakes lovely staff , nice garden when the sun is out ! Recommended

Have had the pleasure in visiting David & his fabulous staff at Blue Check restaurant on numerous occasions with my family whether for milestone birthdays or wedding anniversary events. Always enjoyed their lovely food, service and just the general atmosphere of the restaurant! Thank you!

Best Indian food in Darwen. The gentlemen who have always worked there are always so lovely, polite and professional. Last night they had a young member of staff front of house who I had never met before. He lacked knowledge, was confrontational and rude. I requested a mild saagwala which he corrected me and said "we don't do a saagwala" I said you do its on your menu. He tried to correct me and said "we do a saag not a saagwala". I said it's the same thing. Then he was really insistent that I had rice and chips which I insisted I didn't want. Then when I arrived the receipt didn't state "mild" so I questioned it. He said "all saags are mild" I said they aren't and your menu literally states "medium to hot". I wasn't sure if he was speaking to me like this because I was a woman. But it made me really uncomfortable and upset me. Especially when I have never had a bad experience over the last 8 years of going here... Because there are no prices online or on their takeaway menu (which is bizarre, it made me feel nervous, like i was being scammed - especially after how he was talking to me) I requested the normal menu to cross check which he got a little nervous over. It wasn't correct but it was close enough that i didnt say anything. But really prices need to be transparent online and on their takeaway menu especially since prices everywhere have increased. This situation sadly put me off but I do also know how great it has been in the past. He might just need some training from the original staff but i wont be interacting with him again.

Amazing brunch spot! The pancakes were so yummy and service was great. Can't recommend them enough!

Best place to drink in Dartmouth. Especially loved the Dartmouth Jail Ale.

Just left after having plenty of lovely meals here in past, this will be the last visit. Bar area full however only one other table in the restaurant having food, service was extremely slow..we ended up leaving after waiting nearly 40mins for our mains to be cleared to order desert, waited 40 mins for the food to start with. We wouldn't mind when busy however, focus is on the bar only. Strong smelling substances clearly being used (greeted with this on the main entrance) here so very unpleasant for a family visit.

Went for Christmas afternoon tea today. Been many times before and it’s always been lovely however today there was a hair imbedded in the scone! The server ( bald headed guy) didn’t apologise or say sorry just said unfortunately these things happen! It really put me off the rest of the tea I actually felt a bit sick, surely an apology wouldn’t have been too much? Not good enough 👎

Christmas party. So well organised. Food good (considering about 100 covers all being served at the same time), musician and photo booth excellent. Really good atmosphere.

Staff are very friendly and polite and the chef is excellent love the food always done to how you want it and will definitely be good back

Always a lovely roast dinner here, we’ve had both the beef & the sharing lamb, both are amazing! They also serve a roast until late evening, would really recommend if you’re visiting Bradford on Avon.

Our favourite local dog friendly pub. Can’t fault the staff or the food. We go every week!
