After being closed for a few months for refurbishment, my wife and I we very pleasantly satisfied with our experience. We were treated to the best Sunday Roast Dinner we have ever experienced in any pub/restaurant. It was almost as if it had been cooked at home. The service by the staff was excellent. Overall there was nothing to fault and I would highly recommend people to visit.

Visited for Sunday lunch, good choices of Lamb, beef, chicken or nut roast for vegetarian option, Good sized portions and plenty of vegetables nicely prepared. Very good value for money, will visit again. Not vegetarian myself, but tasted the nut roast which was delicious.

An excellent welcome at this fabulous traditional pub. Despite the issues with covid 19 the premises is very well set up for customers. Inside the tables are spaced out and there is a large marquee outside. Food is not currently available but will soon be open with potentially great plans for autumn and winter dining. This pub is a little gem and must be supported in my opinion. I spent a really relaxing afternoon there with my dad and really enjoyed.

Mycket trevlig lokal pub med utsökt fish and chips. Det är exakt en sånt här ställe som vi letade efter där det bara är gäster från området.inga turister alls förutom vi då.

I have been a regular at this pub for nearly fourty years, like all pubs it has seen changes. We now have a family running the pub, Chloe is the Landlady, her Sisters help out with the bar and Mum makes the wonderful home cooked food. It's cosy, clean, welcoming and stocks real ales and a good selection of cyders. Two large windows allow light to flood across the bar and Lounge, on Wednesday afternoons tea and cakes are served in the Lounge, the Guinness cake my favorite is exceptional. But I prefer the bar, and sit in the mahogany leather chair in the window, where I can keep on eye on everyone. It has a real flagstone floor and has recently been fitted out with new chairs, giving it a more modern look. Sunday lunches are like your own, but no washing up to do. A good selection to suit everyone. There are seasonal specials and puddings to finish you off. The atmosphere is typical, a local pub full of locals, visitors are made welcome and before you know it they are regulars too. If I call with my dog Paddy after a long walk, he'll be made a fuss of and is soon asleep on the floor. There is a quiz on a Thursday night and even a Ukele Group practicing in the Lounge on Tuesdays. It is full to bursting when the rugby is on and is a Live msusic venue once a month. What I like best is I can call in in my working clothes and be welcomed, the banter is often hilarious and there's plenty of room to just sit away from people if I want for a quiet pint. The only thing I don't like is the juke box has gone, not everyone likes music but it can be regulated, only on for specific times. So please can we have it back, I believe the brewery took it out. I look forward to meeting you at the Prince soon.............................

If your looking for a lovely traditional pub this seems like a lovely place!! We arrived here by accident to find it Filled with super friendly, locals enjoying the sunshine on the decking and staff who are more than happy to accommodate requests to, unfortunately we were unable to stay for food, but the Sunday roast looked and smelt incredible, everyone in the room seemed to be thoroughly enjoying, we will definitely be back!!

Rickety furniture - dirty floor- surly staff - fighting in the car park - dogs allowed to sit on the furniture - and no disabled toilets so a male wheelchair user urinates in a bottle under the table. I would give it a miss if I were you

Visited on a Saturday evening phoned ahead to book a table and glad we did as it’s not a massive place. We arrived early but our table was ready for us. There is a good selection on the menu and we all enjoyed our choices. The service was good and the staff all very friendly.

My daughter and 3 year old granddaughter treated me to a Mother's Day afternoon tea. Sandwiches, warm sausage rolls, scones , jam and cream , lemon posset with shortbread and a selection of mini cupcakes , all were delicious served with a pot of tea. The staff went out of the way to provide our little one with jelly and ice cream.

This pub was taken over just before Christmas 2018. Chloe, the owner, is now serving food during lunchtimes which is very good and reasonable. The Prince is a traditional pub, of which there aren't many left, and has a great atmosphere. Normally live music once a month so keep an eye out. Definitely worth a visit not only for a drink, but also lunch.

A very thirsty group of Ramblers, we visited this place for a post walk drink & some Socialising. A nice welcoming atmosphere. Complimentary cheese & biscuits is a nice touch. The bartender was very good too seeing that he was alone & along come 20 or more customers altogether. Parking available for about 15 cars. Purchased fresh peas from a local who was selling in the car park. Overall nice place to visit. Thumbs up.

First time to go to Prince of Wales in Coychurch for Sunday lunch, will definitely return. Two course meal was £11.99, a choice of two starters, pate and soup, both were excellent, tasty and the soup was piping hot. The main course was a choice of three meats, we went for the lamb, it was tasty and succulent, roast potatoes were real, not frozen, the veg was mouth watering, it was delicious. We were the first in the restaurant but it soon filled out and the whole atmosphere was really pleasant. Be prepared to pay by cash, they don't accept cards.

Having received a menu through the door announcing the opening of a new Indian restaurant at a local village pub, we thought we'd give it a try. We were really impressed. It was obviously the first night opening, Tuesday, so other than the landlord we were the only diners to start with. The service was spot-on and the staff were extremely helpful recommending dishes. The food was amazing, very tasty with lots of meat. We had chicken madras and tikka masala, with rice and it was perfect and the right amount. Other diners arrived later on and people were popping in for take away. We will definitely go again and again.

We have been coming to the Fox for a good few years, it has always been our go to for birthday treats. Tonight was a huge disappointment. My husband and I ordered sirloin steak and the quality was awful. It was tasteless, tough and overcooked. I did complain but was just told they would take 50% off one of the steaks. I didn’t eat mine. I think what was even more disappointing was that they didn’t seem to care. The waitress was lovely but if there was a manager on site then they weren’t interested in speaking with us. This is the first negative restaurant review I have ever written. Such a shame. We won’t be returning, and I’m guessing The Fox won’t be interested in responding

My parents booked this 6 weeks in advance for a family dinner The restaurant was far from busy near empty ..Ordered at 1:15 …the starters turned up at 2 o’clock ..45 mins later it took the staff a further 30 minutes to clear the table after eating …the bar staff do the table service so if the bar is busy the restaurant is on stop and the food goes cold ..45 mins after the starter the mains course turns up 3 .oclock 2 hours in the venison was off the menu …they run out of steak on a bank holiday on a sat afternoon..no steak for the sat night sitting …the steak I ordered turned up it was more like a burger than a steak …I complained..the barmaid . Come waitress said I can change it ..but it would be a while ..I laughed there’s no one in here it shouldn’t take long to cook a steak …you know we been sat here 2 hours …her reply well you did have starters ……I eat the steak out of embarrassment of making a justified complaint turning into an Argument…I didn’t bother with desert by this time we were 2 hours plus sitting down …the food hygiene rating is 3 ……avoid this restaurant at all costs

A nice cafe with food, I visit reasonably often with my grandparents. Last time I checked it is cash only, but the food was quite nice and adjustable.
