got a fantastic takeaway breakfast of a sausage mushroom and cheese baguette and a “breakfast b” and left not a single crumb behind. delicious, friendliest service and fantastic value for money!:) couldn’t recommend enough! also there’s a cool tank outside:)

After having three previous evening meals here, all at a high standard, we took friends for a meal last Thursday. 3 of us ordered the Chicken/chorizo/halloumi squewer. All 3 kebabs were not cooked properly,the Chicken & chorizo almost raw. The chicken was also a cheap processed rubbery type, not of good quality. I communicated this to the waitress, who was new/young. She said she'd tell the Chef, then came back minutes later,saying that the chef said it was pink because it was marinated, which was a joke as the chorizo was also "rare". I shook my head at her, saying " You're joking"? At which point she walked off. We then paid the bill, with no apology or discount given. The senior waitress was rude and also had no customer care. Shame as we'd had good experiences there previously

We booked a last-minute table while staying at a nearby hotel, and the team at Shah’s couldn’t have been more welcoming. The service was fantastic from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was excellent with generous portions (three onion bhajis each as a starter!), and everything was full of flavour. We really appreciated the little touches too, like the hot towels at the end of the meal. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

I had my wedding at Nuthurst grange on 19th April 2025 and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were super organised, extremely helpful and accommodating all day. The rooms were stunning, the service was superb and we can’t thank you enough, especially Magda that answered any question big or small leading up to our special day. Thank you very much from Mr and Mrs Francis.

Outstanding fish & chips. I purchased Haddock which was cooked there and then so piping hot and delicious. If the weather isn’t great there a small seating are a bit like a tapas bar where you can eat. Definitely the best fish & chips in Whitley Bay or Tynemouth.

Hi. The food is very good. It's a nice setting but every time we come there is no service. They start off well. Once you have your food, they forget about you. It ruins the experience Food can take ages. My husband had to get up and ask for a dessert menu. Not good at all

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing taste! Hands down the best shawarma I've ever had. The flavors were rich, the meat perfectly seasoned, and everything was fresh. You can really tell they care about quality. Highly recommend — 5 stars all the way!

We stopped for lunch nice selection of pasties and pastries. The coffee was excellent to. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Great place and very friendly service. Went here for a Birthday treat from my wife was made to feel really welcome. The food was lovely with a modern twist with great Coffee. Will definitely be visiting again very soon.🎂👍

Excellent in every aspect - food, service, environment, price. I had a mini breakfast which was delicious. I usually find one item not to my liking in a breakfast but everything on the plate was top notch. The cakes looked delicious but I was too full to try ! The service was quick & friendly. Pricing excellent. Delightful experience. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful seafood feast delivered by Emma last Saturday evening Potted prawns to start ( super yummy) Bouillabaisse to die for next ( we ordered for five but was very generous portion) Chocolate pots and strawberry pavlova for dessert! All completely delicious, we had a wonderful effortless dinner party thanks to you! Will be back to order again without a doubt! Thanks so much Emma x

I am not one to ususlly write a review but credit where credits due, what a fabulous little pub. My daughter is GF and I googled GF pubs near Plymouth. I found this one and we decided to drive out to it. The staff were most welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. Believe me I am extremely fussy with food and I could not fault this meal. My compliments to the Chef. We will most definitely be returning again very soon
