Pasty Presto in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We have used the Cornish Bakery numerous times over the years in various locations but this one is the jewel in the crown. The food is fabulous but more importantly the staff are terrific. The lady that has served us over the week is an absolute joy ( we have been calling in on an evening , apologies for not knowing your name ) she is so enthusiastic and even at the end of the day greets each customer with a friendly greeting and lots of chat. She’s an absolute asset to the company .

Excellent service, very friendly staff, delicious food and fantastic coffee, had a wide range of pastries, desserts, hot and cold drinks.

Speedy service from Kristine delivering with great coffee, highly recommend the white chocolate or regular mocha! Great alongside any pastry!

I work locally in the village. Whenever I need lunch, a Hot Mocha and a Large Traditional pasty from here is my choice, without a doubt. The staff are lovely, the Food is filling and the Coffee is Awesome! Keep it up!

Forget almond croissants; the cherry filled almond croissants were amazing. Don't share. They have to buy their own. Everything else looked delicious, too. No gluten free options though.

Bought some pastries here for a morning treat - fresh and absolutely delicious. Try the almond and cherry croissant - you won’t regret it! Good job I don’t live nearby, as I’m not sure my waistline would benefit.

Very friendly staff and very tasty bakes, and coffee! What more needs to be said. This character minimum requirement is ridiculous!

Great coffee. My daughter bought me a flat white and it was lush (we're fussy about coffee as we are both trained baristas) Stuart made us a gorgeous cuppa with latte art even though it was take out and having a lid on. My daughter had a delicious raspberry crossaunt and we love the pasties too.

Called here on a coastal walk. Lovely Cornish pasties, stuffed full of delicious meat and vegetables, the staff are very pleasant too.

I rang first because I wanted to buy a steak Pasty. Asking what the ingredients were and told they use all sorts of extra ingredients and the pasties are not made there but in a factory somewhere else. I decided not to go and went elsewhere instead... Here are the ingredients of the pasties: Wheat Flour (Gluten), Potato, Beef (14%), Margarine (Vegetable Oil, Water, Salt, Emulsifier: Mono-and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids, Colours: Annatto, Curcumin), Swede, Water, Onions, Beef Fat, Lard (Pork Fat) Seasoning (Salt, Dextrose, Spices, Onion, Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein)(Gluten, Soya), Butter (Cow’s Milk, Salt), Salt, Modified Maize Starch, Sugar, Black Pepper. Bought a couple of Apple, Rhubarb & Custard pasties and they were delicious. Unfortunately the lady who served me could not have been more disinterested in serving me entering into no conversation & not even a Thankyou which costs nothing. Wouldn’t return regardless of how good their offerings are!

Beautiful food and well packed in a paper bag Added this to chips across the road and made for a perfect Meal with my wife sitting on the wall Watch for seagulls diving you!!!

I had the best steak pasty Ive ever eaten and a superb flat white to wash it down with. Service was fast and friendly.

Food was nice but they only accept card which is discriminating to those who have cash saved up when coming to visit the area

These guys kept me alive with Coffee and Pasties over the Season, whilst I worked the season. They are phenomenally friendly and worth a visit!

Rating based purely on the fact that this is yet another place that is completely cashless!! Poor excuse made that it went cashless in lockdown and the bank is half an hour away, so “it’s a pain in the arse!”

So glad I decided to call in here for lunch while on holiday. Great range of pasty’s. I opted for the traditional which had just the right ratio of filling and the pastry was delicious. Very reasonably priced. Kids enjoyed their sausage rolls. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They didn’t make me feel rushed when deciding what pasty to buy and I appreciated their recommendations of where to visit in the local area. Would definitely recommend. Thanks

Great selection of pasties - from the traditional to the spiced veggie indian. A really great welcome on a cold, wet windy April day and we could even warm our hands on the counter! ~ A cornish treat all round!

The Staff at the Cornish Bakery are so friendly and helpful, I can't speak highly enough of them. Nikki and Stuart in particular are a real asset to the company. Always chatty and ready to help. The Cherry and Almond Croissant's are the best around.

We tried this place in bath a few years ago, and been a huge fan since, Best place for coffee "Cornish Bakery " are everywhere, tasty pasties amazing coffee and yummy pastries. Do not pass buy walk in and try you won't regret it.

Clean and tidy, delicious food and AMAZING coffee and super lovely staff - they were really helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.

We went with their recommendation of the chicken pasty and enjoyed our food, they had run out and put a couple in the over for us to pick up later,.

I’m a regular visitor to Mevagissey ( and many other places in Cornwall ) and always have a pasty on a day out . Sadly , The Cornish Bakery are still not taking cash …. this means I’ve had to try other pasties instead .....

Great service ,chatty fun staff ,manager is a credit to the hospitality industry, products are all tasty ,freshly prepared and good value.

The coffee here is second to none! The staff are really friendly and inviting too, it’s a really beautiful atmosphere. Definitely the place to go if you are in Mevagissey.

Perfect pasties, best ever bacon butties, friendly service. Selection of pasties really good but the quality of the traditional ones are second to none. Opens at 8pm for the best bacon or sausage butties.

lovely shop,lots of great vegetarian options and vegan options. My daughter has a dairy allergy so they baked her 4 fresh vegan raspberry croissants, used different utensils and new bags and went the extra mile to prevent contamination. My daughter loved them! Perfect customer care....

In our opinion this company makes the best tasting pasties in Cornwall (and we’ve eaten a lot). Good peppery taste with an excellent balance of meat and veg.

Ordered a traditional and spiced cauliflower and bhaji pasty. Both were hot. Fillings were good, not quite as good as the ones we had at the pasty company in Padstow. Quick service

We always buy our pasties from the Cornish bakery when we are down on holiday. They make the best vegan vegetable pasty we have ever had! Worth every penny!!

This is a must place to stop and pick up some very tasty pasties. We had to queue to get in but it was well worth the wait. Covid restrictions mean only one person/family in shop at a time. Great selection, excellent service and with a smile too. The pasties were delicious!!

We always grab a coffee and a pastry in the morning - coffees aren’t the hottest when when we ask for extra hot but they are good quality. Pasties are always fresh and cooked in the morning which is lovely. Friendly service - all wearing masks which is great throughout the current uncertain time’s. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in to get some pasties as that’s what you have to do when you visit Mevagissey!Waited in line outside as per Covid measures. When inside it was clearly marked where to stand etc and the lady serving was very friendly and efficient. Got all the pasties with no problems and the most important thing... they tasted amazing!!Thank you!

I used to use this pasty outlet for their delicious cheese and onion pasties - now I have discovered another ,even more delicious one ! It’s a vegan cauliflower bhaji pasty - beautifully flavoured and great on a cold day walking around the harbour . I have to give credit to the guy who works in there though - I pop in on my way in to the harbour and pay for my cauliflower bhaji pasty, then I walk around for 40 minutes whilst he runs up and grabs one from the freezer and bakes it to perfection for me then I come back to collect it - he’s so kind and goes over and beyond his duties !! (They are readily available usually but as it is out of season they are not a main line so are not cooked to save waste )Thank you for your service - it is very much appreciated !!

We purchased from here a few times while we were on holiday in Mevagissey. The pasties were yummy and well filled. We found an amazing find here called The Cornish Pudding OMG its just to die for, anyone who likes bread pudding this is a must . Would highly recommend when in the area.

The pasties here are amazing - especially love the Apple, rhubarb and custard and the Traditional Cornish!

Well filled pasties and delicious sweet treats as well. A bit expensive for drinks as the teas are quite small but tasty all the same.

Over two days while the sea shanty festival was on we tried the pasties from here delicious. My wife tried the sausage rolls also delicious but I must say that the Cornish pudding that I tried which I have never had before was scrumptious. We would definitely call here again

Whilst staying here last week we visited the bakery several times for the beautiful pasties. Freshly baked, warm and very tasty fillings. I am vegan and the vegan cauliflower is just so flavoursome I can't wait to get back here!
