The Patisserie Malton in Ryedale

Enjoyed a lovely celebration afternoon tea in pleasant surroundings with my sister and mother. The service was great and the food was excellent value for money. Would recommend a visit.

A lovely cafe, very helpful staff, good coffee and cakes etc. Also a great little shop to pick up interesting things. Well worth the 40 mile round trip!

Got in at the right time as we got last table was very busy . Staff friendly even though run off their feet . Lovely clean cafe Food was amazing . I ordered jacket potatoe with coronation chicken . Was beautiful, best coranation chicken I’ve ever had and potatoe was beautifully cooked , so much so I even ate the skin . Came with a side of salad , crisps and slaw . Very filling . Hubby had sweet chilli chicken panini , came with salad , slaw and crisps . Panini was lovely full of flavour . Would highly recommend this place , beautiful food . I will definitely return, if in area again .

We had a cake made for my daughter’s 1st birthday (cake smash) I was not disappointed! Andrew listened to exactly what I wanted and it met what I asked for . The cake was so light and fluffy and tasted amazing !

I ordered a birthday cake for my mum’s 70th birthday. It was really easy and straight forward to order through their website. When we saw the cake it really was a ‘wow’ moment! The cake was absolutely stunning! Beautiful flowers, fruit, macaroons and beautiful icing. And the taste was every bit as amazing!!! A lovely local business producing amazing service!

First visit to the Patisserie this weekend and we had paninis and scones which were all delicious. Particularly enjoyed the cheese scone which was warm and came with really tasty chutney. The man who served us (I believe the owner) was friendly and efficient and the place itself is cute and cosy. We timed it well as a table was available when we walked in but it’s clearly popular place so don’t think it would have been available for long. There is a shop area selling lots of nice things as either gifts or treats, such as honey, sweets and chocolate. You can also get takeaway items at the counter which is handy especially if the tables are all taken.

Brilliant service! Food was brilliant! Cakes were freshly made tasted amazing! Had afternoon tea and I’m not one for afternoon tea but love this!

Such a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff, welcomed from walking through the door. Lovely fresh bread for the sandwiches followed by warm scones for the cream tea. Perfect. Will definitely becoming a regular!

The menu has something for everyone and I can’t wait to go back to try the afternoon tea because wow they looked good. Fabulous place!

Last Saturday morning, my boyfriend and I came for breakfast after an early morning walk. We walked in and were greeted straight away, we then sat on a table close to the window looking out onto the square! My boyfriend ordered the Big Breakfast Stack and I ordered the creamy scrambled eggs with bacon, they did not disappoint! Our Waitress Casey was fantastic! She was very polite and chatty when we asked her questions, really topped it all off. We definitely will be back!!

Been a few times and everytime the food and service is fantastic. On our latest visit we had a breakfast (extra sausage) and Eggs Benedict Royal, a banana milkshake and a strawberry milkshake. In my experience it’s the best eggs Benedict royal I’ve ever had! The banoffee pancakes are also worth a try as they are brilliant. They are always busy but tables generally free up fairly quickly and the food is definitely worth the wait. They offer a takeaway menu which is also brilliant and the little gift shop has some lovey biscuits, fudge, gins etc.

What a wonderful find for a perfect lunch! The attention to detail, fresh and high quality ingredients coupled with staff who were genuinely helpful and warm. Many thanks we are foodies and will be recommending your place to all. Denise And Andyxx

Great Veggie breakfast more than I could eat! AND the most delicious Belgian hot chocolate that was lovely and hot. Hopefully we'll return for cakes later in the week. And it's dog friendly 🐶

On holiday in late October, we received the BEST welcome ever! Some "eateries" would be reluctant or refuse to cook hot food at nearly 4pm - not at The Patisserie! Our order for a family of 4 was quickly prepared - service with a smile & good quality too! We will return in 2024!

Soup and cheese scone, can't beat it, and all the staff were lovely. Also there earlier for coffee with tea cake and crumpets (×3). A gem!

I am a regular customer at The Patisserie and can only say it would be difficult to find a better establishment for taking coffee and/or breakfast. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and make a visit an enjoyable experience.

I had a fantastic soup here, I can honestly say I think it’s the nicest soup I’ve ever had. The sandwiches are so lovely and fresh with beautiful bread. Back again today for Halloween Cupcakes. Highly recommend

We were spoilt for choice at The Patisserie today with a wide and varied menu plus a great selection of cakes to choose from. We plumped for Afternoon Tea and were not disappointed. Lovely and fresh and a good selection for the price. The highlight though had to be the friendly staff. What a lovely bunch they were. Thank you for brightening up a wet and dreary afternoon.

I can’t rate this place enough! The cakes are the best I’ve ever had and the service is exceptional. A massive selection of cakes to pick from and spoilt for choice when they all look and taste out of this world.

This is my favourite place to eat in Malton, I & a friend regularly have takeaway drinks & lunches, mainly either, soup, sandwiches, wraps, paninis or salads. All are freshly made & delicious & very reasonably priced. Malton has a wide variety of cafes & coffee shopsto chose from but the stand out feature that draws us back to the Patisserie is not only high quality food but the friendly, efficient staff who always make us feel so welcome. Although less often, we occaisionally sit in in the cafe which provides the same first class service & products. There is also a well stocked shop with a wide variety of lovely biscuits, cakes, preserves & drinks which can be made into hampers. The delights of this little Malton gem are too numerous to mention.

Highly recommend The Patisserie Malton. I visit every week for takeaway coffee and cake and it is a highlight of my week!

Lovely food. Nice surroundings but the young girls in there need to get their heads in the air, look around and try to cheer up a bit! We were told to “sit yourself” (fair enough!) and menus were on the table but we had to ask twice to have our order taken. “I was just coming” was the response. Meanwhile take out coffees were being served to shop customers who were just breezing in! We weren’t the only ones! Our bill was £8.50, and I paid cash. No change received! I had to go to the desk and ask - my £10 cash was then retrieved and put through the till! Naughty tactics! May only be £1.50 but you get nothing for miserable service!

The girl that served us was full of yeah yeah when we asked for extras but never came back No way wanting to feel special as accept the stress they cope with but I did think she could engage with us. Food was great and ambience was fantastic.

Excellent food, the cafe is well laid out, with space for every table - not always a given! There is steady stream of customers and sometimes a short wait but a calm atmosphere, staff are efficient and effective. We really liked it.

We were in Malton for a few days and decided to come here for breakfast rather than eat at the hotel. We had a pot of tea and a teacake each which were delivered promptly and were delicious. The cafe and shop is only small...

Been working up there had a Traditional breakfast every day been to other places but this was the best by far.

Was great when we went there but think it will be fantastic once the renovations are finished. Some people may say 'slow service' but that's because they make sandwiches/rolls etc fresh. Hope to get back there again.

Ordered x3 afternoon teas to take to castle Howard, totally delicious thankyou, if I could just add , a small wooden knife in the box would have been great to cut the scones and butter etc.

We visited for the first time today and chose the breakfast and wow it was delicious the black pudding was amazing! Washed down with iced lattes, we absolutely loved it all, staff friendly and a great atmosphere.

This place is GORGEOUS. Visiting this area for the weekend we happened upon this eatery at lunch time. Its a lovely place, great staff, awesome menu and selection of good to take away. The milkshakes are incredible. We went back the next day too!

Lovely little tea shop, selling delicious food and artisan food and drink gifts. Just the place for yummy food and fancy goods! Food can also be ordered to take-away, including afternoon tea. Staff attentive and polite. Highly recommended.

We came for afternoon tea and it was amazing. Beautifully presented and delicious. The scones,fruit one and cheese one, were very light and gorgeous and lovely selection of cakes. We revisited a few days later for breakfast and once again everything was delicious. The staff were very friendly, especially the young man who served us on our second visit. We have definitely found a little gem at Patisserie of Malton.

Mine, my family and my colleagues go to for food and drinks in Malton. The best hot chocolate anywhere and I love my hot chocolate. I've eaten in and taken out. Cannot fault this little gem!

I've visited The Patisserie Malton a few times ... it's a small cafe*, independently run, in the center of Malton close to the Market Place. *perhaps room for 20? The place is run day-to-day by a couple of ladies on behalf of the owner-chef. He seems lovely when I have messaged him, really keen for things to be ship-shape and focused on providing an excellent experience for customers. It's not so great when he's not there ... it sometimes feels like cafe guests are treated like they get in the way of the shop. The menu is interesting (and very pretty!), the food is consistently lovely and the place is great for a quick coffee stop or a light bite/lunch - if you can get a table. The offer takeaway options and outside catering. I saw some trays of amazing cakes carried past as we were in there for coffee and they look delicious ...

The ceaser bacon , chicken and avacado salad is amazing you should get it it’s what u get every time I go but I don’t put avacado on it because I don’t like avacado but I recommend you try this
