The best restaurants in England

Food not bad. However, twice I’ve walked up there to buy fish and chips and it’s been closed even though times on door and online say it should be open. So annoying, will go elsewhere in future instead of wasting my time

I ordered a crispy prawn balls and Ive explained it to them what it is?? They said ok I know what you mean then when I collected the food it is skinless prawn on a blunt sweet sour sauce my god 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣🤣 this place is a joke dont order here youll be wasting your money

Ordered through Eston Labour Club. Got given buzzer that will go off when ready. 45 mins later.....still no buzzer. Went and checked. Waited another 5 mins or so and got given a pizza that was burnt on top and not cooked underneath. Chips were awful. Like they had been fried 5 times. Nothing in them but grease

My son and I went for coffee and cake today. Never again! The lady who served us was full of cold, coughing, sneezing and wiping her nose on the back of her hand whilst preparing our coffee it really put us off - basic hygiene surely means you don't serve food/drink with a streaming cold!?! I then visited the loo and it was like going to the toilet in a third world country. Absolutely rank! Stinky and really unpleasant all round. Starbucks you should be ashamed - you let the brand down massively! Was the coffee good? Probably but didn't really notice tbh!

My husband and I called in for a drink and cake while on a shopping trip . We ordered a tea , a coffee and two cookies . The drinks were served in a paper cup and the two accessory stations in the cafe were out of use meaning that we had to go back to the entrance to get sugar etc . There were no napkins anywhere in sight. The cafe was very sparsely furnished and very uncomfortable. There was one chair in the back section where there should have been four . The cookie which I had chosen was as hard as metal , so much so that I could not bite it . I returned to the serving counter and complained , the assistant agreed that it was not edible and gave a refund . I mentioned that we couldn’t see any napkins and was told that the customer has to ask for one if required. In all this was a very unacceptable experience . We will never return

Very messy. Tables and floors not cleaned of mess and food. Coffee in paper cup not mug, even though cafe closes in 1.5hrs time. Seems to be the standard now in coffee shops, very disappointing. Pastry was okay.

2 for 1 offer on spirit drinks. Watered down. Absolutely disgusting. £8 for basically 2 mixers. Don't be fooled. Save your money

Second time I've been in since the latest takeover by a regular of 20 odd year. Said owner basically stuck on his laptop at the bar ( maybe I'm wrong ) if I'm right as he was telling the bar staff what to do a simple hello would go a long way. To get to the bar to play pool we had to walk through the lounge disturbing the music as the bar door was not open. If your a real ale fan don't bother its average Guinness or john Smith's. Gutted as when I read in the Echo a local of 20 year was taking over I thought it would make all the difference. In a positive note if you want a private function it should be spot on with the new partition.

Stomach ripped apart after a week of visiting here.

Was very hungry near Baker Street station and thought I'd see if things had improved. The hell they have.now the fries no longer the rosemary fries that made this places name now they're replaced by generic plain tasteless cardboard like fries no taste nothing.in fairness on this trip the fries were cooked fresh unlike my other 3 visits since the 1st lock down but like I say not rosemaryfries.the burger was horrible tho at least it was definitely cooked fresh.the store was clean. But im done ever hoping these guys will ever go back to what they were 2017-2019 which was a great chain...people used to go for the rosemary fries....if they're gone no point going for me. The rest of u might like it I don't. Too many new better places imo

Pedí una comida para llevar, absolutamente increíble y la temperatura todavía estaba ridículamente caliente cuando se entrega si podía dar más de un 5 que lo haría. Todo el personal era increíble, y saludar a Lauren que es absolutamente excepcional. Gran bien de un gran lugar🙌🏼

Llamado en un sábado ocupado por la noche 28 / 9 / 24 El lugar estaba impecable, el personal era muy servicial, los precios de la habitación eran muy buenos.

Always good! Nice and cosy with a option to sit outside... The only thing I would suggest ditch the Ash trays outside....

As with all National Trust cafes very over priced for what you get, we had to wait ages to be served, the sandwiches were freshly made but that held things up even more, my slice of orange and poppyseed cake was tiny for £4, sandwiches no garnish just bread and the filling for £7, if we go again it will be a long time and probably take a picnic I could understand if a footman delivered it to us but that wasn’t the case.
