Ocean in Doncaster

Ordered a takeout, absolutely incredible food and the temperature was still ridiculously hot when delivered if I could give more than an 5 I would. All staff was amazing, and shout out to Lauren who is absolutely outstanding. Great good from a great place🙌🏼

Just had a takeaway...was told 18.40...delivery arrived ..20.40 ? Had a Cantonese style sweet n sour chicken, wife had a chicken curry, well had is one way of putting it.... sweet n sour was bland and tasteless ...curry ...chicken was tough, rice cold ...was suprised ad everyone raves about the place but nope won't order again 22 quid wasted its gone in bin!

I think Ocean Chinese Takeaway in Cusworth is amazing because I had the special fried rice and spring rolls and I liked it

Favourite takeaway nearby. Usually quick with delivery and good menu. Food is always nice. I believe it’s a favourite for a few other locals also.

Absolutely disgusting ordered food got home plated it up to find a long black hair in my sweet and sour chicken called to complain not for my money back just to say I think it’s terrible that members of staff can be around the food with long loose hair and not having them in hair nets completely put the whole family of off there meals so threw it away and Ordered from somewhere else will never order from here again never even got an apology so unprofessional

Ordered salt n pepper wings they was terrrible and the bbq sauce we had on the side didn’t taste of anything rang up just to mention it and lass on phone said we’ll ya won’t be coming back will ya. It was just a call to let them know. Rude won’t be going ever again.

Ordered from Ocean for years and the food is lovely but delivery is shocking. We ordered last night at the same time as my cousin; she lives in Cusworth and had hers delivered and was eating it within 1/2 an hour, we live in Woodlands and waited an hour and 20 minutes. Last time it was an hour and 35 minutes. Previous time ordering was the same but we enjoy the food so wanted to give Ocean the benefit of the doubt. Sort the delivery out and we'll return.

Delivery time unreliable. Food good but very late delivery. Need to deliver within their own time frame, otherwise eat elsewhere

Ordered food online, said time expected and was on time, food was beautiful!! Huge chunks of meat in the foo yung, everything sooo tasty!!

This takeout wasn't the best but by no means was the worst. We thought it was slightly overpriced for what we got. On a positive note the dishes did contain plenty of meat instead of being packed out with veg which was a welcomed surprise.

Ordered at 6:15 ... still no sign of it at 8:45 so had to ring a cancel our order for a family of 6 so we are all basically STARVING and really killed the family night we had planned. Great. Thanks. Father in law is crying 👍🏻

This is a Chinese that we regularly visit clean and a very good choice of food I would definitely recommend this place for a takeaway meal

I have been buying Chinese from this chain for many years and slowly been getting increasingly disappointed in the quality of the food from this takeaway. Today i ordered half a crispy duck and sweet and sour chicken and rice. The last few times i get back to eat the meal with my wife and the salad and cucumber is very old and slimy (old i mean old where i could bend the cucumber on itself without breaking haha) My wife asked me to check before i leave this time to make sure we get what we pay for. I turned up to the place and the lady's within the place are very nice and always have been. I asked them if they would please make sure that the salad is fresh and explained that the cucumber and salad can be really manky and old... Before leaving i quickly checked the salad to the duck and yet again it was old. The young lady said very politely do you want me to get that changed and i said yes please. When she went into the back i heard the Male Cook (Who i believe is the owner) opening his load mouth swearing to the lady (I apologies on his behalf of this man to the young lady as i would never treat my staff like that. And you should find yourself a place that treats there staff with respect) I heard the lady saying in return im not going back to say that to him!!!!!!! My food came out and an older lady came out to ask what is wrong. I was just in the process of saying that in general the quality of food in this takeaway is slowly getting worse when i heard him shouting swearing that the customer/me should go and f**king purchase food else where! Honestly this place has gone downhill and the food is not that great. You have just lost me as a customer and i spend around £23, 5 times per month. Also i will be asking my family to no longer purchase food here the male loud mouth owner/cook does not deserve the custom. His food isn't that good anyway to refuse to acknowledged when the food is terrible...

Not used Ocean for a while as we had been using elsewhere. Pleasant, enjoyed the roast pork and mushroom curry.

Placed an on line order and promised delivery at 20.04 or earlier, we’ll it’s now 20.32 at still no sign of it. I phoned up to enquire and was ensured it was on its way, I asked where it was but apparently they couldn’t tell me, however it will be with me in 5 to 10 mins? How do you know this if you don’t actually know where it is.............

I will never order a Chinese from anywhere else. My absolute favourite. Always fast when delivering or collecting. Would definitely recommend.

First visit and last one food was awful pancakes rolls were weird sweet and sour food full of chillies.

Put my food order in tonight 19:15 said it would be 50 mins no probs.Phoned up at 20:30 to ask how long it would be the nice young lady asked how long it would be I could hear the manager mouthing off very professional in the background so I said I would cancel my order thank you.The delivery man was at my house in 5 mins very apologetic and nice mannered so I took the delivery.I hope the owners read these comments and do something about the bad manners this man has.Wonder what he says about customers who can’t here him ranting off about then.

Have been having food from here since I was child and still order from here to this day. Best Chinese I’ve ever had, the food is delicious! No Chinese has ever compared to it. Must try, amazing!

I have had some very nice food from ocean , just lately it seems maybe a bit rushed , I will still use ocean and hope that this is just a glitch

The title says it all really, consistently good food and speedy service. We all have our favourite dishes and they are always tasty. Even why trying a new dish we are never disappointed. Keep up the good work.

Went here for tea. Ordered our food and the quality wasnt that good. The chips were dry and tasted like the had been cooked and then recooked. The ribs were dry and we couldnt even eat them, even my dog turned her nose up at them.

Haven’t got a bad word to say about ocean. The food is always well presented, hot ,plentiful and tastes amazing. It can sometimes take a while to get through on the phone but I wouldn’t call that a bad thing it shows how popular it is. The staff are always helpful and pleasant.!i would highly recommend this takeaway

I’ve used this takeaway for over 10 years and can honestly say we have never been disappointed. Excellent food at a decent price. Do deliveries too. Highly recommend!

Ordered from here for collection, ordered salt and pepper chicken, bbq sauce and other bits, wasnt nice at all. the bbq sauce isnt even bbq sauce, no flavour at all to it. would not go again.

Good Chinese food got a lot better over the last 12 months good flavours and a new menu over all very good

Had many a takeaway from here and its always delicious. Food and delivery service is a straight 10. Delicious noodles & the crispy lemon chicken are amazing.

Decidimos probar el océano en lugar de mi casa para llevar habitual (dragón). En conjunto no está mal, pero estos chicos tienden a poner demasiados pimientos en la comida en lugar de la principal ingrediente (en mi carne caso). No está mal en sí mismo porque me gusta todas las verduras, pero estos eran casi preparado por lo tanto baja puntuación.

Genial para llevar, una gran variedad y buena relación calidad-precio, también ofrecen menús, nunca tuvimos una mala comida! !

Food great! Everyone loved it! Crispy beef not crispy enough for me though or even at all really! Everything else great- was going to order through hungry house to collect and eta was over an hour so ordered over phone and ready in fifteen mins! Order direct!!!

Always Gone with oceans until tonight when I waited an hour and hour and when I rang up to see where it was one of the members of staff started to shout down the phone 'that if I didnt want it I'll tell the driver to come back!!' Bad costumer service. Infact disgraceful behaviour torwards a paying costumer. Just lost one of there valuable costumers. Well done.

I've been eating takeaways from here for nearly 20yrs. Never had a bad one. Tried others, but they aren't up to Ocean standard.

We ordered 3 simple dishes there were all blind and tasteless Acept the curry gravy spar rips When we actually wanted barbecue spare rips.Rang to complain no customer service skills at all they said if we bring it to them untouched they would give us a refund but obviously you would normally try something first before your order it So it was no use complainingWould never go back again, we will stick to the lucky six, where we have never had a bad meal

We had a dish with lettuce leaves you would think if serving fresh cooked food they would also serve fresh lettuce and not limp brown leaves. As for the mixed starter it was just was greasy and over cooked. second time tried this take away and the last!
