Lunch here on the last Sunday in September was the best seafood I have ever tasted, fresh and beautifully presented. We had 5 dishes between 3 of us, and the crab cakes were my favourite, packed full with crab, delicious! We were warmly welcomed and the waiting staff were superb, patiently explaining the dishes to us. the fruit tart pudding looked almost too stunning to eat and was also delicious with melt in your mouth pasty. Lovely atmosphere too with mostly extended family groups, will definitely return if I am ever in Glasgow again.

Booked a table for my husbands birthday on recommendation as we are not from the area...Very disappointed!!!...Ordered starters and my sons arrived with a hair in!!!...Got sent back to be replaced but we had all finished our starters when his arrived.... My husbands main arrived with fries that were cold!!...Again sent back.. Member of staff came to the table when the new fries had been replaced for HOT ones to ask if he was now enjoying his fries!!!!...RUDE.. We had planned on having sweets as when we booked they had said his sweet would come out with a candle etc but given the above we decided to pay and leave as the evening had been very disappointing and ruined...I did speak with the manager who apologised and spoke with the chef who waivered our drinks and same Member of staff (who asked about fries, informed us that the starter with the hair in had been taken off the bill!!!...definitely needs a course in customer service as was made to feel by her that we had no reason to complain....Our bill wasn't cheap!!!)....I don't write reviews but felt compelled to as a birthday meal was ruined

On a football match day, all the pubs in town were really busy. So we found this little place just away from the main bustle. Lovely venue, quality coffee, and the outside area with patio heaters a great place for breakfast. It's a bit fancy in the breakfast stakes, def on the higher price side and a bit experimental with things like sweetcorn sliders, rustic beans and very fat bacon. But overall good food.

We had a lovely dinner in this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff incredibly kind. We feel welcomed and very well attended all the time. I tried the wee haggis for the first time ever and it was delicious. The mussels were really good too. Also the Geographer hamburger was one of the best burgers I have tried. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great location on the canal, great food and a lovely welcome. Visited on Sunday for Brunch based on a recommendation, and was not disappointed. Julie was very welcoming and a great host. Endless cups of tea and coffee to help us recover from a heavy night out, and we were not rushed to leave, which was great as the weather was not as welcoming!

I had heard good things about this chip shop, looked on line and good reviews. We ordered haddock, chips and fish twice, a pot of curry sauce and a pea fritter. Unfortunately it was not a good experience. The fish was bland, it tasted of nothing and the batter a bit thick and soggy. The peas were OK to be fair& the pea fritter too greasy. However, the chips were a disaster, undercooked (to the point that I could crunch some of them!) and pale. The curry sauce is that sweet very mild tasting stuff. It also took the girl ages to wrap it up to the point of thinking has she been trained. The other staff didn't offer to help and were not busy. 1/5 is a fair score. Loads of food uneaten it was that poor and £23 worse off.
