The first time I visited Crabshak, I was blown away by how good the food was. The second time, I was really disappointed. I got the monkfish and it wasn’t particularly nice. The sauce it came with was disgusting. The only thing I would return for is the scallops. Staff are friendly enough. Overall, it’s too expensive for what they provide.

Great service, lovely dinner options. We shared the "Fruite de Mare" platter for 120£. The seafood was great but the ice below it took away a lot of flavor. Maybe something to change in the future? For the oysters I understand but the lobster, mussels etc we all really really cold due to it. Small place so you should definitely book.

This is the best sea food I’ve had in a very long time. It was unbelievably fresh and superbly cooked with a delicate touch. The chef and his one assistant are incredible. Ruaridh, who heads the front of house, and his team are remarkable. It’s a tiny restaurant and was fully booked but he accommodated us even without a reservation and served us with attention and a relaxed expertise which made the whole experience delightful. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the wine we had was superb, beautifully fresh with the right amount of acidity to accompany shellfish. Bravo to a great team!

Food was divine! We ordered off the specials menu which changes every time, but wanted to post the “standard menu” in case others want to see it. The whole fish picture is of mackerel with salsa verde, which perfectly complemented the mackerel. We also had sardines with cannellini and chillis, as well as a monkfish squid tomato stew. Both were divine. Sadly we ate them before getting a picture. Nom nom! Dessert did not disappoint either - flourless chocolate cake and plum salad with almond pastille and vanilla ice cream. Great meal!

Had dinner here tonight (location on Argyle Street in the West End) during our trip to Scotland and the food was delicious! We shared a halibut dish and of course a fish & chips dish, both were outstanding. In addition to their regular menu, they have a long list of daily specials too! Our server even customized my order to include skinny fries for me 😋 (which were also really good). We had booked a reservation several weeks back and that worked great. The restaurant/ bar were both crowded around 7 pm when we arrived. We would definitely eat here again if we are ever back in Glasgow!

Went here for dinner our first night in Glasgow and had a great time. In the heart of the cool kids Argyle Street strip in Finnieston, this compact restaurant does a lot in a little space. We opted to get a series of the small plates so we could taste several things and it was the right choice. We had oysters, crab cakes, tempura squid, langoustines and scallops and everything was amazingly fresh and we filled up without a main vice was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. A tough pricey but worth it.

Been eating at Crabshakk since it opened and must have been 50 times over the years. It was always an occasion. Went to book recently and stopped myself - the prices have become outrageous. I fondly remember 6 crab cakes being £14 in 2014 which now seem to be £29? By the time you add fries you’d be as well going across the road for a fillet steak! Inflationary rises acceptable so £22 would be a reasonable amount today. Afraid to say I won’t be back as good food also has to be fairly priced.

I had dinner with a few friends last week at the finniston branch which is a favorite between us friends. I was met with extremely unprofessional behaviour from one of the staff members today… began with her constantly chatting to the other table loudly which is fine but sitting beside our table a bit too close for comfort and resulted in the other tables receiving bad service and being neglected. The second thing which stood out was that the server took an already finished plate of food and showed the already eaten lobster to the table beside us, which personally I thought was unprofessional. Whilst collecting plates a knife fell on my friend which can happen, completely understandable, we were quite understanding but just requested for one tissue to wipe the foodstuffs off but took a pretty long time to get the tissues to the table as the server was chatting downstairs with other staff and there was no sense of courtesy, my friend didn’t even receive an apology from the staff member. Lastly the bill was just thrown and slammed on the table, with no acknowledgement or words spoken. I understand that working in a fast paced and cramped space can result in things falling, and working in the hospitality industry can have its good and bad days, I get it because Ive worked in the hospitality industry before, but I think my expectations are not unreasonable. The whole experience that crabshakk usually offers didn’t meet the mark I am very disappointed and ruined our celebratory night.

The place is cute, and the food was all right. I had a plate of smoked trout and salmon with a glass of Cremánt. My reservation was at 1 pm, and my table was close to the entrance. I was shocked that they scheduled a massive beverage delivery precisely at this time, during lunch break. While I had my lunch, I was in the cold because the door had to be open for the delivery man, and I had to eat while several boxes were being passed basically over my head, as the Crabshakk Finnieston is a tiny restaurant. It damaged the atmosphere for me and other guests at small tables near the bar. One Sir even removed himself from the table he had booked because being in the middle of the boxes was unpleasant. The service team clearly needs a plan improvement.

Well Saturday lunch time takes us to Crabshakk on the Argyle Street in Finnieston Glasgow. We'd been to the sister restaurant Crabshakk Botanics two days earlier as we were in the area. It's a small looking place but a bit Tardis like. We were seated upstairs. The basic menu was the same as two days ago The "specials" were maybe a little more special. I chose the cockles with green chilli and coconut to start. Sensational cockles. Perfectly cooked soft. Flavourful. The green chilli and coconut adding a lovely zing. Best cockles for a long time, possible ever. That good. Sensational. My partner had the Crabshakk crab cakes with a dressed salad. There weren't huge but packed with crabby flavour. Nice crunchy to the salad too. For my main I had the halibut in crab sauce on a courgette salad. Delightful. Deeply flavoured crab sauce. Decent helping halibut. Nice crunchy to the courgettes. My partner had the red mullet with heritage beetroot, watercress, and an apple and sherry sauce. The fish was a little fiddly to eat but tasty. Apple and sherry sauce suited the fish. I passed on dessert and had a double espresso. My partner finished with a pistachio meringue. Sounds simple. Meringue crusted with finely chopped pistachios. Inside the meringue was a St Clements sorbet that sat on a pistachio cream crumb. Sensational. All in all a very good lunch. Lovely location. Attentive wait staff. Would certainly return. Cheers...

As befits it's name, the crab cakes are delicious. The permanent menu is full of treats, and the specials take you on a voyage of discovery. In my recent visit, I had carpaccio of salmon with dill. So tasty. A good wine list. Some very special bottles for a special occasion or mere indulgence. Good choice of reasonably priced wines. The muscadet is excellent. Lost 2 stars because we booked about 2 months prior to the dinner, we got there and had 4 people around a table of 2, it was annoyingly frustrating. It was very tight and we all struggled to eat comfortably. We must have dropped 5 forks and 3 knifes, yep it was that tight, staff must have been annoyed we kept asking for clean cutlery. Being there was a group of 4 on a larger table even they we heard made a comment about how tight the table was.. Not to be that person but it was very very embarrassing. I was not impressed and also family as much as we enjoyed the food and companies. It ruined then evening. This was a celebration for our oldests 18th birthday and she really wanted to dine here. She felt a bit deflated when we left. Lost another star due to the issue we had with the cooking, when they cooking team were searing, the smoke and smell engulfed the small area we were sat in, all customers made the comment about the smell, it wasn’t like a bad smell, but now have 3 dry cleaning jackets to deal with. The food overall was nice, it was nice but the butter of course can be a bit much after a few bites. Fish and Chips has a very dodgy after taste, this meal was not finished. Muscles were 100% on point. Price wise £40 ½ Lobster not a bad price but was expensive £20 Fish and Chips – yeah go down the chippy We are not a bit family of drinkers so £12 for a bloody mary was apparently the going price for a drink down the west end. We stuck to water as we did have to stick to a budget for the night. We would visit again but enforce a bigger table Staff, they were great and explained the menu well. Always had a smile, they were busy tho, forgot a few things we needed but not the end of the world, they said sorry for rushing about.

I had a very positive experience at Cragshakk. The food was delivered on time and of a high quality. I ordered the linguine which was very flavoursome however was quite a small portion, despite the price being around £20. We shared a lot of the other food items including the crab served with toast, which was by far the most delicious item that we ordered. Everything was succulent and fresh. The only disappointing item we received was the dessert item labeled "cheese" - which we opted to share. Which ended up being a small plate with two portions of cheese, some figs and apple slices and a small portion of crackers. This was not what we envisaged when we ordered it. There were times when empty plates were sitting on the table for a little while before the waiter cleared it, however, it was a very busy Valentine's service. Lovely ( small) restaurant. Had a table booked for 6:30 but they were running slightly late but this not an issue as were sat at the bar and offered drinks and nibbles. Staff are very friendly and professional. Food exceptional. We had the chowder followed by lobster and both were devine. Will definitely be back

The worst experience and service I have ever experienced. Came in and he asked for our coats from which he took then checked the brand of the coat? Weird When we got our meal there was no service at all. Plates were pretty much chucked across the table. There were four of us and the food was coming out 1 starter at a time. The bill was chucked across the table without a word spoken. To sum up, we were told to get our own jackets off the hangers while the staff were at the bar chatting away. The chips tasted and looked just like Mcdonalds chips, the steak was extremely chewy and the scallops - £26 for 6 small pieces. If it tasted good it would be justifiable but for the quality we got the price was extortionate. I had a booking to come again with my friends in the next week but cancelled that.

The brown crab was my fav. It was my birthday so I got treated to the crab and the lobster also. That crab was something to write home about. The lobster was decent. I've had better..

We visited on 31 December and sat at the bar. Being around the bar lets you appreciate the first class ambience created by the staff. Everyone is so polite and friendly. The positivity and smiles envelope the room. Every plate was delightful; the skate wing being my personal favourite. It's one of those places where I can't help sitting with a satisfied grin because I'm able to be there. A glass of crisp white wine in hand enjoying the best seafood, a short train ride from home. A perfect end to our dining year.

Food was very good and staff but pretty empty, yet stuck on a table out of the way. 1970s music..

The table is so tiny and the space between table is also small. But the service was very good. The staff were really nice and helpful. However, the food was not impressive comparing to the fancy price.

This is one of my all time favorite places to eat. They are busy (for good reason) so be sure to make a reservation if you are set on eating here. The scallops are incredible and the staff is always friendly and attentive.

Really incredible food. So fresh, such attention to detail and really great service. This is. A tiny restaurant so make sure you book, the food is so worth it. Amazing flavours, smallish menu, we had sharing plates but you can easily have proper individual meals.

Visited twice this year and both times very good. Once warm enough to sit outside on the pavement and great to people watch as well as enjoy the food. Another time sitting in a group at the bar which turned out really good as well. Delicious fresh fish and shellfish and good beers and wine. A firm favourite ⭐️

Cute hotel located in a historic castle. It’s a bit outside of the city center in a quiet neighborhood but makes for a peaceful stay. My friend and I shared a suite and it was quite large. The bathrooms were also quite luxurious and there’s a tub as well as shower. They have free breakfast if you book directly with them, but since we booked it through the Capital One portal, we didn’t have that. The keys themselves are physical keys (not keycards). The front desk is nice and even though there wasn’t a water bottle filling station, they filled them up for us. They were able to hold onto our baggage after we checked out while we explored the area.
