Had such a great meal here. Portions are definitely on the big side, so you get good value for money. Would definitely return and recommend it to people. Restaurant was full which is always a good sign

Great place to eat. Service was worth 5 star but they were overwhelmed when we arrived between breakfast and lunch times so I rated only 4.

The food and coffee were good but unfortunately the service was disappointingly poor. We tried to book online on the day. The website said bookings weren't available but there were plenty of walk-in spaces. We arrived at 12:30 and were greeted by a manager who told us there would be a table free in about 15 mins and we were next on the list. We had a coffee in the front and as we waited a number of people came in and were seated, we assumed with a prior booking. After 45 mins we asked if there was any problem and were told by the manager that they had accidentally crossed us off the list. After another 15 mins we were finally seated and enjoyed a tasty lunch. However, we then had to ask twice for the bill after waiting another 20 mins. The manager seemed pretty unprofessional and not particularly bothered about the service we'd received. I don't like to badly rate an independent local business but this was a really poor experience from somewhere we had been looking forward to visiting. I hope this was just a bad day and we'll maybe try going again in the future.

First time visiting and definitely won't be the last. It was busy when we arrived but we were very quickly seated at a clean table after being handed a menu to peruse while waiting. Drinks and food order was promptly taken and delivered. The coffee was one of the best ones I have had in a long time and the Royale Bene was delicious. The staff was amazing and couldn't do enough for us, making sure everything was okay with the food and drinks and making us feel welcome. The only tiny 'downside' was that it was a little loud for a relaxing coffee shop but it was new years day and very busy and it did not personally bother us all that much. Hope to visit again soon.

A 15 minute wait for a takeaway coffee is ridiculous. Not worth missing my train for, no matter how good the coffee is.

Awesome food and love the venue but very disappointed they no longer offer hand brewed coffee at the weekend. Seeing as I booked lunch here to have that availability. I placed my coffee order for a hand brew and it was accepted only to be told 5 minutes later that it’s not available at the weekend.

The place is beautiful, the coffee we had was amazing, the food was also reeally good. However, we waited over an hour to be served ( the food), which was quite stressful since we had a plane to catch. We thought arriving 1 hour and 15 minutes in advance would be enough, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. I would highly recommend this spot if you have the whole morning free to enjoy it, but otherwise, it might not be the best choice.

Es patético. Un perro que se comporte bien y se siente tranquilamente debajo de una mesa no debería ser un problema para nadie. ¡Si vas a anunciarte como dog friendly al menos proporciona un área donde sea posible tener comida!

Fantastic coffee and great service, lovely place to sit and relax

The selection of beans is nice, but the barista work was disappointing. Both drinks were tepid (45-50 ℃) and came separated into a layer of light, bubbly dry foam on top of watery milk. It's a nice spot and could be really good coffee with training and troubleshooting on fundamentals. The service was great.

The chicken mother clucking burger is unreal!! Must try. Nice ambiance and friendly staff too.

Me and my partner are still sat in here now after finishing what I’d say is the best breakfast we’ve both had all year. Bella was our server, she was lovely and had great customer service. The vibes are perfect, and I couldn’t say anything bad about this place.

Really high quality breakfast, fabulous service and husband couldn't fault the coffee!

Whilst the food and coffee are very good, the management is not. They are horrible to their staff which shows in the high turnover. Sadly there are quite a few independent cafes who get away with this behaviour.

Sheffield's Temper Coffee is a true delight! Both the coffee and the matcha latte I had were excellent, they were expertly prepared and incredibly flavourful. The Temper Classic breakfast, which I also selected was incredibly tasty. The staff members was fantastic, they were welcoming, kind, and attentive. It was a wonderful place to chill out and eat because of the cosy and welcoming ambiance. I definitely suggest it to anyone in Sheffield searching for a fantastic coffee shop. I will most certainly return soon!

Lovely place, cheap, very kind staff, it's right by my uni so I love going every now and then. -for people with sensory issues, it can get incredibly loud during peak hours. 💖

Coffee was good. However, we were sold to 'eat in' despite them being overbooked - they hadn't checked but put it through as that anyway. We sat down but were shortly moved on and very nearly handed the saucers and cups with our drinks in as if to go. We then had to ask for takeaway cups as if it wasn't obvious.

This place is an absolute gem! Definitely try their cocktails if you visit. Gets busy on a weekend so you may need to book

Lugar encantador, café de calidad, y la zona exterior con calentadores de patio un gran lugar para el desayuno. Es un poco elegante en las apuestas del desayuno, definitivamente en el lado del precio más alto y un poco experimental con cosas como deslizadores de maíz dulce, frijoles rústicos y tocino muy gordo. Pero en general buena comida.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Waited 20 mins to be seated outside - was left another 20 mins before anyone came to take our order. We each had a ‘hot’ chocolate. They were Luke warm when they arrived and felt more like warm milk - all the chocolate had sunk to the bottom. We had asked for tap water when we first sat down but this didn’t arrive. After 30 minutes we had to go inside and ask again. We ordered from the breakfast menu but 15 minutes later the server came to tell us 2 of our meals were no longer available and we were unable to order from the breakfast menu again as the food would arrived after 12pm. It was 11:40am when we were told. I had the Turkish eggs and tallow fries. The eggs were very oily but an ok dish. The fries were flaccid and soggy. No one came to ask how our food was or offer us more drinks. We paid at the bar and promptly left. Won’t be returning - a real shame as always used to enjoy Tamper.

Just SO good. Amazing venue and a great menu, clearly well-curated and preserving the kiwi touch! (offering Milo in about 3 different drinks formats 😁). Props to the chefs who you can see hard at work if you're sat near the kitchen; the food was delicious.

This is by far one of the most delightful places I've been for brunch in a long time! The food is absolutely delicious: unique, tasty, well seasoned, plentiful, full of texture and packed with flavour. The vibe is spot on NZ coffee shop and everyone is really friendly. The pastries/cakes are spot on too. Definitely a place I want to revisit every single time I go to Sheffield.

RUDE, DISCRIMINATION to the minority by the staff member who allocated the seats on Sun 29 Sep. ‘GET OUT’ said by the manager on the day to customer who simply intend to join the queue to walk in. What a place! SHAME ON YOU!!! ***Update*** If you check the security camera, you can understand how rude that staff member behaved and what discrimination we faced. We were told to wait for half an hour as we have no booking in advance when we came here in the morning. We decided to go. Around half an hour later, we came back and asked the same person if we can have a table since nobody else queued. The staff member who allocated the seat told us they didn’t serve walk in people and advised us to have food and drink at cafe area. We feel strange and unbelievable but we went to cafe area where only two kinds of cakes available. What really upset us was that afterwards many people walked in the restaurant while we were waiting for the coffee. So I asked that staff member “No offence but why could not we join the queue and have a table?” That staff member said the rule had changed and now they could take walk in people. I said to her that “You can’t treat people this way. We have been waiting here for a long time. It feels rude and it is a discrimination.” But that staff member still refused to allocate seat and said something arrogantly. That’s what made me angry. And the manager joined the conversation and ended up with “Get out”. Please be noted that over the whole communication I said nothing bad, nothing dirty. You showed no respect. I chose to leave not for what you said, I simply did not want to stay here any longer. I share my experience at this restaurant and believe RESPECT is the value we all share.

It’s become our regular go to on our football visits to Sheffield and yesterday we booked ahead of going to Hillsborough. Again, really enjoyable meal served by very helpful staff. We will look forward to visiting again when next in the city.

Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, excellent prices, I happen to go on a pretty busy day so it was quite loud in the downstairs area but the food was delicious, regret not going bigger but I will be going back!!

Cute presentation and great coffee, however if you are getting the Turkish eggs ask for the butter on the side or for half the amount they put it, my eggs were swimming in the stuff lol

Absolutely love the coffee and vibe at Tamper - recommend for that alone. But there is nowhere in Sheffield that an oat milk flat white is justified at £4.10. There are so many great coffee shops in Sheffield, so sadly i'll have to drop my Tamper coffee, that for the record, is delicious. Still felt bad giving any less than 4 stars though...

Fantastic cafe, the Big kiwi breakfast is lovely and the milkshakes are tasty. A nice relaxing place to go, friendly staff. Definitely recommend going!

Food is really nice and good quality. On the expensive side but filling. We did have to query our order àfter a long wait however, but they did knock 10% off the bill as a result.

After eating and drinking a number of times in Tampa we returned. I chose the chill beans on toast with feta and pesto. Whilst eating I found a piece of plastic in the feta. I informed a member of staff (think the manager) just to let them know but I was still happy to continue eating the food who told me it was a salt crystal. It was certainly not as it was perfectly shaped like a pyramid which a salt crystal is not ! He said he would take my hot drink off the bill which he did not do. When paying the bill with a young lady still sitting at our table her gum that she was chewing fell out of her mouth onto the table between my daughter and I. She panicked and quickly grabbed the gum off the table saying “oh god, I’m so sorry”. I glanced at my daughter who had also noticed. The young lady then went behind the counter to tell another young member of staff about her funny ordeal. Not a pleasant experience for myself and family. After this experience won’t be returning……what a shame.

Always a busy place, the food is delicious and the coffee is fantastic. Love this little gem.

Two stars rather than one because my previous visits to Tamper have been good, but today I paid a lot of money for bad food and then the waiter was rude about it. I usually order any of the poached egg dishes when I come here and they've always been cooked perfectly. This time I cut into the egg and the undercooked whites leaked out everywhere. When I mentioned this to the waiter he insisted that the whites looked perfectly cooked to him. Most of the uncooked matter had soaked into the muffin by this point but there were still translucent little globules floating around the plate. When we went to pay the same waiter advised me that I should ask for my eggs more well-done next time. I don't need or want them “well-done”, they should just actually be cooked, i.e. with the whites set, the same way they've been cooked every previous time I've visited. Condescending and actively unhelpful.

The owner makes it a terrible experience for the staff. Watching her being patronising to her staff, not nice to see. Don’t think I’d be coming back.

We have been here several times in the past and found it to be excellent, however on our more recent visit it quickly became apparent that things had changed, the service for instance, we waited quite some time for someone to take our order, when a waitress finally appeared at our table, “expecting we had been given a menu already, was poised pen in hand to take our order? Looking through the menu it soon became obvious that it had changed dramatically since our last visit, the healthy vegan options no longer available, the choices x 2 very limited, so I opted for the beans on rye, a kinda chill, which wasn’t tasty at all, I ate some, but left most of it. Today, the day after our meal I have tummy upset (being polite) Needless to say we won’t be back.

I just grabbed a coffee on my way to work and it was fast and the staff was lovely and polite. Amazing coffee!!! 🤩

Popped in for breakfast on our 10th wedding anniversary, breakfast and service fantastic, had a bit of a wait but understandably as very busy, manager James and his team outstanding,will be back.

The best place for brunch in Sheffield! The decor is lovely and it always has a cosy atmosphere. The coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had (shout out to the barista who made this gorgeous bunny) & the food is TOP TIER. The crab scramble is my absolute favourite!

First time at this restaurant, and I can confidently say that I'll be returning. Not only were the staff kind to me as I had explained that it was my first time here, but they were also patient and looked as if they enjoyed their work. The food itself, I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Sweetcorn and Ricotta Fritters, which I have never had before and now I can say it will be a dish I will be returning for! And for drinks I ordered a Dark Berry Smoothie to start off, then later added the Karma Raspberry fizzy drink later on. Both were very nice but I preferred the Dark Berry Smoothie over the Karma Raspberry fizzy drink 😅

I dare to say that this place is popular for a reason (remember to book a table). The food was great, didn’t need condiments added to them. Good balance, lots of colours to the food as well. We had the acai bowl (lovely!), the sweetcorn and ricotta fritters and chilli crab scramble. If the place wish to improve anything I’d recommend going the extra step and make your own version of the Tabasco instead of offering that bottled one. You clearly have the talent. Fine selection of tea. Good coffee, cute cups! Cool place, really! Well done! Outside was lovely too. Staff were sweet and attentive despite being very busy, so, well done!

Came here yesterday for a wedding party and really enjoyed the venue. It’s got a decent size seating area and just had a great feel to the place.

Tamper is one of the best coffee spots in Sheffield! Their coffee beans are always fresh and bursting with great flavors. Tamper has you covered with their expertly crafted brews that are simply outstanding. The food options are equally impressive, with a range of delicious pastries and fusion brunch items that perfectly complement the coffee experience. Plus, the cozy ambiance makes it the perfect spot to catch up with friends or settle in with a good book. As the place gets really packed in the day, service can be really slow but the staff provides decent table service. Highly recommended to book a table prior to visiting to avoid disappointment.

Loved it! Great food & service. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff. Vegetarian options available. My friend loved the salt beef benedict, I chose the selection of toast with marmalade. Would recommend.

This place always surprises me!!! Im so happy they serve Darkwoods coffee,its my fav coffee roasters in UK!!! Their salt beef eggs benny are just out of this world,BANGING!!! also i have a few allergies so staff came to check on me and make sure the food doesnt have any allergens three times!! Shout out to the chef and staff :)

The food and service is always top notch here.

Finding a good independent can be hard but this place was another level! I had the best sweetcorn & ricotta fritters with avocado, poached egg & halloumi. This is my go to on a brunch menu & this is by far the best I’ve had! They also sell Milo hot or cold, which made my day & took me back to my travels! We stumbled upon this place by chance, it was super busy but enough staff on so no delays. I will go back next time I’m in Sheffield working!

Scarlott, Sienna & James were super friendly. Amazing customer service, the food came out super quick. The interior is beautiful and most importantly the food was superb. As a baker I was really impressed with the flavours of the food, and the plates were presented beautifully. Each plate is handcrafted to perfection. I would highly recommend to anyone. Lovely family feel to it too. Was delighted to know this was a family business, you can really feel it in the cafe. Can't wait to come back 💕🫶🏽

Really exceptional and almost over the top tasty food. Karaage chicken wings on waffles was mad, super rich & new. Coffee was also phenomenal. Staff also amazing. Could not fault the place & although the menu is slightly limited, everything we bought was next level good - almost so packed with flavour I wasn't sure if be able to finish it... but... obvs... I did.

Their Turkish Eggs are divine! If you're ever in Sheffield, it's 100% worth a visit. The orange juice was so fresh, and coffee smooth. Really quick service and staff were attentive!

A great coffee shop with a lovely, vibrant atmosphere and excellent service. Popped in with my dog, who is allowed in the front bar area only, but not the restaurant. A great coffee and cinnamon swirl. Highly recommended.

If you want some morning glory and then a happy ending, make your way to Tamper coffee. Be warned, if you order the infamous french toast, expect to be a zombie for the rest of the morning and not eat again until the evening. This must-have special changes frequently so don't be disappointed that you missed out on the mouth-watering peaches & cream. Perfect touches of Sheffield industry adorn this laid back environment, with plenty of seating for those eating alone, as well as a communal table for those wanting to sit with others. If you're not sure about the attire, look up Kevin Bacon in Foot Loose and you'll fit right in.

The best "fry up" I've ever had here, I think they called it the 'Big Kiwi' on the menu. All the produce was of the highest quality, including the amazing thick cut bacon. Higher price than elsewhere but worth it in my opinion, you get what you pay for.

A real find: fabulous brunches in an interesting space. The place to get a coffee if you’ve got 20 minutes to kill waiting at the station.

The shrooms and Turkish eggs tasted amazing. The waiter was so polite and cooperative and we enjoyed our meal. The whole atmosphere was cozy and pleasant.

My partner and I visited Tamper on 21st June and I have both positives and negatives with the experience. *We arrived early to our booking but brunette waitress with glasses showed us to our table and was very friendly. *The atmosphere was good, I’m aware it’s a very popular place to eat in Sheffield. *When we did bring up we had been waiting for our food for a long time, it was resolved quickly. The negatives are we were waiting for around 50 minutes for two food orders. A table of ladies near us complained they had been waiting for an hour. The waiter did admit that he had forgotten to put our order through on the till and that it wouldn’t be long. We were still waiting until we complained to another member of staff and then we got our dishes quickly. I appreciate it’s a very popular place to eat in Sheffield, but service needs to be improved. Our food was okay, but nothing special. Some of the bigger mushrooms were undercooked. I’d consider coming back if both of these areas were improved.

Visited here last week and it was my first time coming! I had the salt beef eggs Benedict which I thought were super tasty! My boyfriend had the kiwi breakfast which was a little underwhelming. Additionally the food came so so quick like within 10 minutes of us ordering so we were done in 30 mins which just felt a bit too rushed. Other than that it was a nice interior and had a good atmosphere! A little on the pricey side.

Have been here before and it has usually been was great so I definitely recommend, but the server who showed us to our table today seemed stuck up, sort of blamed us for an issue with *their* reservation system and then showed us to be seated at the worst table, a tiny 2-seater right in the middle of the walkway. Given that we booked 2 weeks in advance I expected a better table to be held for the reservation. Luckily they did not add a service charge to the bill as I would have asked for it to be removed.

Personally thought the beef eggs benedict was extremely salty, and the food at this standard is rather overpriced compared to most brunch places.

I was again disappointed, I keep giving them 2nd chances , not again , the staff were lovely and helpful but the chai latte tasted horrible, and the cronut was hard and stale !! I specifically asked if the cronut was fresh and was told they were, that was not the case, they have lots of staff you would think they would Get something right !

Food was good, but service took forever even though it wasn't particularly busy - enough staff for 1 server per 2 tables, with all the staff walking around looking rushed off their feet, yet when it came to serving they would bring 1 plate, or 1 drink at a time? After waiting for server to come over ~20 mins after being seated we placed an order for the salt beef benedict, only to 10 mins later find out they'd sold out and so we needed to pick something else, a challenge when you're with someone who struggles with this kind of thing. This forced change also ultimately ended up costing more as we ended up choosing more expensive, but similar food options. There was no apology nor was the original price honoured for what we would've paid for the salt beef. Overall, a really poor experience, the food was okay but certainly not worth the rest of the experience.

Food was excellent. Service much less so. We had to grab someone to order in the first place after being sat down for 20 mins. The luke warm coffee arrived after another 20 minute wait. The food then arrived a minute or so later. As I said the food itself was really good. After we finished nobody rushed to clear the plates and when we managed to get someone’s attention and asked for more coffees we were initially told a waiter would come and take our order only to be told a minute later that the table we were at was needed for another booking and we were welcome to have a drink at the front. We declined as it was rammed in there. Lovely brunch ruined by shoddy service. If the service was quicker there would have been plenty of time to have the additional coffees we wanted. Customers shouldn’t have to flag down waiters to place an order in the first place, hot drinks should be served hot and when customers have finished eating the tables should be promptly cleared and any additional orders promptly fulfilled. You tampered with my enjoyment of a perfectly good brunch!!

Excellent brunch! Really imaginative food - I had Turkish Eggs which were beautiful! The service was impeccable: really friendly, welcoming and efficient. Highly recommended.
