This is a very nice cafe just off main Street in Moira. Lovely selection of pastries available in chiller cabinets. The cheesecake was amazing! I will definitely visit again anytime I am in the area.

Went for Sunday lunch and liked the whole experience very much, I'd recommend it. Run by a nice young couple, the pub is a tribute to the neighbourhood with photos of locals and historic images on the walls. It's a friendly pub with a feeling of personal service and care in the cooking. We really enjoyed the Sunday lunch and will definitely return again for more. My favourite pub lunch in the area.

My friend and I came last week for a festival and we passed by this place . What a nice discovery, of course we had to come back a second time !
Good food and a lovely person behind the counter .
Merci et à bientôt j'espère :)
Fantastic meal with partner. Waitress and chef were very accommodating and honestly the best goats cheese pasta dish I’ve had. Partners peppercorn sauce and Diane sauce was a little unique, however the steak was cooked to perfection - so perhaps the sauce was just unique to tosca’s.
Fabulous food we chose a selection of smaller items to share. Popadoms to start with the homemade dips. Food and service all excellent and very reasonable.
How lucky were we to have been able to eat at Dan's at The Crown. We had a lovely evening. The sun was shining, we were greeted by Charlie when we arrived, every business needs a Charlie front of house ! a lovely person. All the staff were very nice and professional. The wine and the food was superb. We had 3 courses . One as good as the other. We will return.
Booked two nights (Aug 10-12th) here as we were ending our Scotland trip, and it was a perfect place to finish.
Parking is provided in a lot or along the quiet street. It was a little confusing at first glance, because there are two buildings (across the street from each other) labeled "The Star Inn," and one of them had a sale sign on the outside.
After realizing one had a locked door, we headed to the other where we were greeted by locals and directed to the bar for service. It took a couple minutes for the bartender to finish up and greet us, but she was lovely and promptly checked us in, grabbed our keys, and showed us the way to our room across the street.
The first thing I noticed was the incredible smell! It smelled amazing, fresh, comforting...l considered asking how I could bring the smell back to the states. The walk in area, halls and room were spotless and cozy. The bed was crisp and fresh, and the bathroom was huge. Numerous fresh towels and toiletries were provided. There was also tea, water, a small fridge, a television, menus, WIFI, a small desk, lots of outlets for charging, and nice lighting.
The Inn is within walking distance to the water, and there are some small shops that weren't open on a Sunday. It was about 15 minutes of a drive into Inverness, and about 5 minutes from Inverness airport.
Would absolutely recommend staying here, we loved the small amount of time we did!
