Eat here many times as locals. Food is unquestionably excellent as with the prices. I’d like to write more but it’s hard when totally satisfied. So glad they’re here.

HAIR IN MY NAAN BREAD 🤮 the rest of the food was nice but finding a hair in my peshwari naan was disgusting , I feel sick and will not be going back ever again !!!

Faultless - service was efficient, quick, polite and friendly. Food was amazing - served beautifully, hot and tasted fab….. it’s our first time there and will def be going back!!

Were staying in the Area & was Recommended this Restaurant by the owners of the Cottage. What a Delicious Culinary Delight. Unfortunately as we have a 4 Legged Companion we had no Option but to have a Take Away. On picking up our Order I was Greeted by a Bubbly Concierge & with a bit of Arm Twisting gave us a couple of Complimentary Poppadoms which were First Class. My Mojo is you can usually judge the Restaurant by the Quality of it's Poppadoms! We had a Variety of Dishes which were all Exceedingly Tasty & the Portions were very Generous.

I have to say this is one of the nicest Indian meals i have ever had. We had not booked, but it was a Thursday night and quite early so no problem with a table. We had some popadums and an onion bhaji to start. No grease, well cooked and tasty. We had a chicken jalfrezi and a chicken tikka massala for mains, with one portion of pilau rice and a peshwari nan. Excellent food, well cooked at the right spice heat, and again not a hint of grease or fat which you often get in other restaurants. The service was top notch as well. A great meal.....

Visited whilst staying in the area. Very busy which is usually a good sign. All tables, including us, had quite a long wait for food though. We had poppadoms followed by starters (vegetable samosa and onion bhaji) Poppadoms were not great as they were burnt but dips were very nice. Starters were ok. My husband said his bhajis were very good. My samosas tasted lovely but were a little on the cold side. Mains consisted of a chicken tikka jalfrezi and a mint lamb bhuna. Both tasted nice but pieces of the meat in both were tough. £50 including a lemonade and a pint of Cobra so average Indian Restaurant prices. Would possibly visit again. Nothing major to fault but nothing had the wow factor.

Bahar is a very nice restaurant with an excellent selection of great food and very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Overall a great atmosphere and tasty food! We’ve been going as a family to Bahar for a number of years and no visits ever disappoints. The staff are polite and attentive, and are on hand to support with any menu choices or difficulties customers have. The chicken in sweet chilli sauce is a great starter. Great mains include: Standard tikka masala Tandoori chicken Vindaloo( if you can handle it!!) Madras. Other dishes are great however those are my favourites washes down with a cobra and a garlic naan! Greta jobs to the lads and lasses there!

Delightful, delicious and afffordably-priced. My wife and I shared several dishes, all subtly flavoured. the portions were generous -- indeed, we took enough home with us to have a second meal the following evening! Service was excellent: attentive and helpful. A real find in a small town.

Bahar catered for an outside party of 40 and gave us great options to choose from. The food was piping hot on collection and packed perfectly for transportation. The food was delicious and the portions per person were very generous. Would definitely recommend Bahar to anyone wanting outside catering for large groups. Thanks guys, will definitely be back!

Fantastic family meal. We hadn't reserved a table but they accommodated us on a busy Friday night and nothing was too much trouble...they even cooked an omelette for our youngest daughter! Great food and service was supetb

Very warm welcome and staff were very helpful in offering suggestions to suit us from the menu. Presentation was wonderful and food tasted great. They even brought out a free pudding with a candle for the birthday boy. Only slight gripe was that it's licensed and the drinks were a little expensive as were some of the starters. I would visit again.

my m other and i was staying in tenbury wells on holiday and this restaurant was just round the corner from where we were staying.We booked a table and was warmly greeted and was given a table upstairs our waiter was friendly and polite and my mother explained she had a nut allergy and he told her not to worry he would check anything she ordered was safe for her.We had some poppadoms to start then i had chicken tikka masala mum had lamb balti we shared a veg rice aloo gobi and onion bhajis food was lovely mum had 2 large glasses of red wine i had 2 bottles of kingfisher bill was about £60 eill definately eat here again if in area

Excellent takeaway, food very well cooked, lovely flavours, generous portions. Only slight critiscm the naan was a bit oily. Would definitely order again, thoroughly recommend.

We visited here before our Comedy night at the Regal Theatre. We absolutely loved the food quality, service and very reasonably priced. The menu has so much choice for even the fussiest of eaters. It's probably one of the best curry's I've had in years. Would highly recommend visiting here.

I love Bahar and always used to have the same dishes (Stick with what you know) but the past couple of times I’ve picked something different off the menu. I like spice but not too hot and each dish I’ve specified that and they’ve made it absolutely perfect. Love the place and will continue to visit. Well done, Naz, Mash, Sam and the rest of the team

Our large family group of 20 descended on this lovely restaurant and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. The food was top notch, with some dishes we’d never come across at an Indian restaurant (scallop) and excellent service. We had a fabulous evening out. Would definitely recommend Bahar to anyone visiting Tenbury Wells. You won’t be disappointed!!

Four onion bhaji £3.50 must of used at least an. Eighth of an onion cost cutting at its best when will these restaurants learn i would happily pay a few pounds more for s decent meal rather than cutting the portion size or putting meagre...

Food was good but very expensive. Nothing special. Such a small town two Indian restaurants you need to try better. Not sure if we will back.

Been here many times as we have a caravan locally. We're very often joined by friends and have ate here on many occasions. Never have we had cause to complain. In fact the bahar has allways been outstanding and obliging. Hidden Jem in the small...

We had a take away tonight from Bahar and it was absolutely delicious. We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Makhani (both madras hot), lovely fluffy Pilau rice and super spicy Chilli naan bread. Everything was piping hot and totally delicious. Thank you.

The quality of the food is excellent as is the service so much so that we went back twice in a week! I can recommend the naan bread which was perfectly cooked. The food in general is really well cooked - in some Indian restaurants...

Because we work in hospitality it is often difficult to get out together but on this occasion it was a great experience to visit bahar and meet up with an old friend. The service was excellent and the only thing better was the food. The flavours were a treat to the senses, everything was cooked superbly and it was plentiful. Returning very soon thanks very much Naz an excellent host. Oh and England beat Germany.

Friendly and efficient staff with good choices of dishes. Food was tasty the mix kebab platter was lovely and the Jalfrezie and monk fish curry was excellent would definitely return.

Dined here on 3rd December, wide choice of dishes, had sharing seafood platter to start and Sea Bass Aloo Palak as a main course. Healthy, tasty and very enjoyable meal.

I’m not really an Indian takeaway fan and probably only ever had one takeaway in the past! The only reason for that is I like and prefer the whole Indian restaurant experience. However, needs must and last evening we had an Indian takeaway from Bahar in Tenbury and it was absolutely first class and enjoyed with a cooled glass and refrigerated bottle of Cobra.

Come here for our valentine's meal last minute and the food and service is outstanding...We always have our takeaway from here so we decide to eat in instead.. The service was lovely and very friendly.. We will definitely be coming here again...

Me and a group of 5 others dined here on Saturday night (18th Jan), we always go to the other Indian in town but we all fancied a change. We booked a table for 7pm and were around 15 minutes early, we did not mind waiting. But we were showed straight to the table and could only see 2 other tables with people sitting at them so was very quiet in there. Drinks orders were taken straight away but were very delayed on the delivery of them, 3 drinks came and then 10 minutes later the others arrived with no apology. Our food orders were taken, we had poppadum’s and 3 sharing platters. The poppadum’s arrived and were lovely, 30 minutes later still no starter platters, I asked a young waiter who was helpful he checked and said they were coming shorty. Around 10 minutes later they arrived, all was lovely and freshly cooked. We then waited another 50 minutes for our mains to arrive, they were also lovely. We did not want desert or coffees but we were not offered them anyway. We then went up to pay for the bill, this part of the evening was the worse service I have ever witnessed. We were 3 separate couples who wanted to pay for what we had separately, we were told very rudely that we would have to split the bill as it was too busy for him to work it out and we would WASTE his time. We were all in shock, when we had all paid one of us went to take the bill just to have a look at. We were told we were not allowed the receipt of the bill to look at snatching it away and stuffing it under the counter, meaning we have no idea if what we had been charged was correct. Really let down by the service we had on this evening, we will not be dining again.

We were loyal customers till saturday night!!Waited over 40 minutes for drinks and 1 hour and 25 minutes for main meal.When food did turn up 2 out of the 3 curries were cold, Hair in the rice and wrong naan breads.When complained they took 2 drinks of bill.Will never return.

Ate here this weekend, we arrived early as booked. The food was lovely and fresh! Great service and good value for money for the four of us. Can highly recommend this great restaurant.

Been once to eat in and couple of times to take away. My husband loves the lamb chops which are superb. I have had good food but haven't found that "go to" dish yet. I need to explore the menu further. Can't fault quality of food and service. Would recommend for sure.

There was a time when I dined at an Indian restaurant three times a week in the town where I then lived, and then I moved home and couldn't find anything comparable - until now. I have recently moved again and live not too far from Tenbury and came to the Regal and dined at the Bahar with my wife and four friends before the Show. We all absolutely loved the experience. The food was brilliant and so was the service. I cannot wait to visit again - especially without the need to leave early for a show.

We visited while on a 3 day break to Shropshire. We had an excellent meal, the food was perfect, as was the service. The restuarant had a great ambiance, and was very tastefully decorated. Added to all of this the price was reasonable, we would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area.

Four of us popped in for an early evening meal without booking. Seated upstairs and had our drinks very quickly. Food ordered a d popadoms and chutney tray came swiftly. A short wait for our main course and a lovely curry meal arrived. All four meals were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. We would definitely be going again when next in the area.

After having very good takeaways from them in the past we approached Bahar to see if they could cater for a large party we were hosting. The manager took the time to discuss our requirements and ensured he understood what was needed.

We always have our Indian takeaway from here every now and then...Food is absolutely...Friendly staff..Does take bout half but we always wait and have a few drinks and if u tell the young bloke who take ur order he will knock 10% of ur bill...Will defo carry on having our takeaway from here ..

Table of four downstairs as upstairs was very busy. Staff very busy and we were informed a wait may experienced - we were prepared to wait and enjoyed the beer, wine and poppadums. When we received our food it was absolutely first class and tweaked exactly to our various liking and requests. staff are consistently over our many visits to this restaurant attentive polite and really the best in the business particularly the manager. I would recommend pre book!

Visited here Saturday just gone and was very much looking forward to the meal as I have eaten here before and my parents go here on a regular basis. However the experience on Saturday was the worst I have ever experienced in a restaurant. We arrived at 19:30 and were seated downstairs where there are a few tables the majority of tables are upstairs - very much seemed out of sight out of mind! We ordered food around 20:00, had a couple of poppadoms and only ordered main meals and sides. By 21:00 the food hadn’t arrived so questioned where our food was as hadn’t been informed regarding a long wait. The ? manager came back 10 minutes later and said that the food was just being prepared and would be another 15-20 minutes. When questioned why it had been so long, the excuse was that all food is freshly prepared and this was why the wait was so long. My parents are both diabetic so explained that the wait wasn’t good enough. The to add insult a walk-in was then informed that take away orders would be around 25-40 minutes. The food finally came with no apologie when it was being served after waiting a hour and a half none of us really wanted our food, which was a shame as the food was nice but it would of been nicer if it had come out an hour earlier. When we were eating a table from upstairs left who had come in after we had ordered, meaning that they had been served and fed and were leaving in the time it took for the food to even come out. The attitude of the staff, specifically the manager was appalling throughout our visit, as he seemed to take our criticism personally rather than business, it was just excuse after excuse. At the end of the meal when we received our bill, we were offered a mere 10% off and free drinks, which was minimal considering our lengthy wait for food, to which the manager then stated “pay what you want”. A real shame considering this was a favourite for all of us, will not be visiting again!

When ever we go to Tenbury Wells we always like an Indian.Bahar one of the best . Lovely food recommend it . It’s a shame they don’t do delivery. Worth every penny .

We found this restaurant through Trip advisor am I glad we went, I was not keen on going, but as it was our wedding anniversary I agreed – although when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant the owner made us really welcome.

ordered onion bahjis and samosa which were luke warm after waiting a long time for them. The bahjis were rather tasteless and were not very oniony just floury. I had a paneer shashlik which was ok and much warmer than the rest of the food but I won't be going there again.

Weekend away with friends, staying in local hotel did not want hotel food, booked table at the bahar, friendly warm welcome seated promptly, drinks served etc , excellent choice of dishes, some unusual but along with firm favourites and lovely discriptions something for everyone, every course we chose from chutney tray through to desert was sublime, all food exceeded our expectations, we have eaten in many Indian restaurant but this wins hands down , only drawback is that we live 100 miles away and can't come back as often as we would like ! , If you like Indian food , you will love this place . Exceptional.

We often go for a meal at the weekend and it never disappoints. Great food, excellent service and friendly staff who are always happy to make sure you get what you are looking for. House wine is recommended. Prices are very reasonable also.

Went out for s family meal and was not disappointed. Service was great, nice atmosphere and excellent good. We were told there may be a delay as short staffed but we never had a problem. Well worth a visit

Ordered takeaway as we were short on time and too tired after spending a day at Croft Castle. Excellent food, very delicious! Especially Veg balti with paneer and the curry with veg biryani was superb! Well done Bahar!

Loved this place. We were renting about 2 miles outside Tenbury and wanted some take -away grub. Wow. Met Naz and immediately we were enthralled by his manner. We are difficult to please as we are vegan. He listened and then told us he knew what we wanted. Food was lovely ( my partner wanted hers with more kick) but flavours were great. We were then treated to a tour of the restaurant including the kitchen. Just so nice to meet a guy who is proud of what he does and wants to show it. If you are in or around the area, this place is a must.

I visited with my two teenage children, prior to a concert at the 'Regal' to see the wonderful 'Simply Grace' in concert.

Absolutely gorgeous Indian food. Definitely worth a visit if you are remotely close to Tenbury Wells. The food taste beautifully fresh with great staff who will try their best to meet any special wishes or dietary requirements.

Interesting menu that they are happy to explain any dish and will adapt to personal taste should the need arise . Food freshly cooked from good ingredients served in comfortable surrounding . Feel that nothing is too much trouble , total customer service .

Meal with friends. Lots of choice on the menu, yet every care is taken to ensure your meal is unique. Wonderful selection of specials as well as typical curry dishes. Very good meat, supplied by a good butcher, perfect in every way. Our chicken dish was very succulent and made only with breast. Go for 'hot' - it's just hot enough to enjoy the burn without losing any of the refined tastes in the dish. They've got the perfect balance. Excellent customer service as you'd imagine. Definitely recommended.

We have recently moved to the area and decided on a whim to try Bahar. Fabulous meal, great service and Naz the owner is such a lovely man and very helpful with choices on the menu. He found out it was my husbands birthday and gave us a bottle of wine. We havent managed to go back yet but we will.

Excellent food and great customer service. We had the "Sunday Special" i.e. a starter, main and rice or nan for £9.95. It's hard to beat this on value.

We visited Bahar as part of our Grandson’s birthday present. He wanted experiences we needed a gift! Without going into everything we are we had a great time. The staff were great and the food delicious. We had a great time. I will certainly be visiting again.

Came here with girlfriend and son. Food was exceptional and very well priced. Lots of different choices to your “average” Indian. Curries were excellent but particularly liked the paneer saag alou and fried naan bread stuffed with veg. Would highly recommend

We were visiting the area with friends and ate here on our host's recommendation. The waiting staff were all lovely, smiling, welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was lovely, we all enjoyed it, I ate too much and came out stuffed but happy.

We visited the Bahar before going to the Regal in Tenbury and were so glad we did, the food was delicious I have chicken Pathia wherever I go and this was definately as good as any other I had eaten and the peshwari naan was lovely.

Tenbury Wells lacks places to eat in the evening and the pub we found doesn't cater for vegans - only a jacket and beans available. So I was really pleased to find Bahar, where there are lots of vegan options and one of the waiters was very helpful. As we had a dog with us, we couldn't eat in, so we ordered a takeaway and had a picnic! We had tarka dal, which was perfect, an aubergine dish, and the best ever spinach, beautifully seasoned with plenty of garlic and a little chilli, with rice and chapattis. fabulous food!

Thank you to all the team at Bahar for making Dave's birthday meal so special. They made us a special birthday chicken dish that was so delicious. They coped with 14 party folk and every dish was perfect. Highly recommended by all of us and thank you for the complimentary birthday cake too, very much appreciated, if you love real good quality Indian dishes then Bahar is a must!

I often visit Bahars with friends and family. The food is excellent with a menu offering excellent choice.

Never fail to be rewarded here with friendly staff fantastic food. Make an effort to come here a few times during the year even though we live nearer to Hereford as it's worth it. Highly recommended
