Lovely tea and cake. Very large slices Great service and lovely staff. Nice to sit outside in the sunshine

Had planned to stop here for some lunch as it was half way home from our hols and because of the good reviews it has received. However, when we arrived we were turned away, apparently because there was a private party booked. To say we were gutted is an understatement because we had been looking forward to lunch there, and because we’d been on the road for four hours and were ready for a break. We had taken a longer route home just so we could stop at this cafe, so I would suggest ringing ahead to anyone thinking of doing the same.

Everything came from Tesco's. The cake was from a packet mix. The salad and cheeses was straight out of the packet

Lovely wee place, hadn't booked a table so settled for the sofa but the lovely woman moved us as soon as a table become available. Great service from great people! Will definitely be back for another visit. Thank you. ❤️

Really friendly service and with a big smile. Dog friendly. Sufficient seating- inside and outside. Home made cakes were lovely but limited (we did get there late in the afternoon- so probably sold out). Good coffee. Would definitely return.

This is a lovely Alice-in-Wonderland-themed tea room which is decorated with a sense of art and love for tea. What makes everything wonderful, however, is the amazig staff - smiles and chime-like chatty atitude. I visited with a friend, had tea and some sweets. While, I personally am not a huge admirer of the butter cream they use, the amount of artwork that goes into these desserts is to be respected. I absolutely adored the fact that they served me a cupcake in an actual cup! When I am back in town, I will surely come again, and this time we might be more prepared and make a reservation for one of the special menus.

We had high tea before heading to Highclare Castle. This gorgeous little tea house is a delightful surprise of eclectic beauty, gorgeous staff and lovely food. The decor & crockery was a feast for the eyes. I can highly recommend this gorgeous little place. 10/10.

Random spot at back of a garage. Didn’t stay to try the food which may have been good. Cakes certainly looked yum. Wet floor due to toilet leaking and didn’t have some food items. Wasnt worth hanging around. Mmm not ideal.

Nice place to stop for cake. Good portion of cake. Staff friendly. Tea was OK... don't like the tea pots with the little sieve in the top, doesn't give a good brew. Some parking at rear.

We've been here a few times before and this time we came for the Disney Princess themed afternoon tea. The cakes and drinks were amazing as usual, and the two princesses (Elsa and Sofia the First) were so good with the children - especially their singing! Highly recommended for hot drinks and cake, though I've yet to try the savoury options (don't worry I will definitely be back at some point to do just this).

Dropped in for a coffee and a slice of cake while out on our motorcycles, our server was very accommodating as the café was quite busy,a proper hot coffee that made a change from the usual luke warm efforts that seem to be the norm !

Firstly the staff were friendly and the food tasted nice. However the whole place including the table tops were dusty, everywhere looked like it needed a good clean. I had booked in a Harry Potter themed afternoon tea, we arrived the table set Harry Potter themed looked lovely. We choose cupcakes upon booking which were no initially made for us the Harry Potter themed icing stuck on top, as there was sprinkles under the icing. We weren’t asked which sandwich we wanted, non of us liked egg so was wasted and only 1 liked tuna so also wasted, and the others weren’t enough for us, there was a handful of crips, and nothing else’s I had thought they may have put on additional sides, no question of additional drinks. For an additional £5 pp per afternoon tea for a themed tea which was a table dress us up I wasn’t impressed.

do not come here!!!! We waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive after we ordered it, for them to then tell us that they had ran out of the sandwich so we wouldn’t be able to have it! Awful

Looked really lovely just we went out of our way to get there because of the great reviews but it had closed early in the winter months and it was then too late to find anywhere else. It would have saved us travelling if they had updated their Google times

I went here for my daughter's baby shower. Absolutely superb - food excellent, atmosphere relaxed, staff friendly and helpful and I loved the beautiful English china cups and saucers and quirky spoons!

Lovely sandwich, I had the coffee cake after but it wasn't very coffee flavour and the sponge was very dry. But the kids thought it was a lovely treat for the start of the long summer break.

I came across 'The Tea Cosy' while looking for somewhere local that did a Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea for my hen party, and I'm so glad I did! Super friendly, lovely staff, and our table was decorated so beautifully with a whole host of fabulous looking things. The food was delicious and the price was a bargain. I would highly recommend, and will definitely be back again soon!

Recently had my baby shower here and would not recommend for group bookings. Guests were charged £16.50 each for adults and £10 each for children which was ridiculously overpriced for the small platter of sandwiches that were provided between 5 people. Adults were given a scone each and a choice of a slice of cake to take home but even so was severely under catered for. A few decorations were left at the end and whilst clearing up staff claimed they “didn’t have the facilities” to dispose of them and had me take them to bin. Never have I had to take rubbish home from an event. Would not recommend.

A group of us paid £16.50 each for afternoon tea it was very disappointing, we had to share a stand between 5 of us which was very sparse had a bit of salad on the top plate scones on the middle and a few sandwiches on the bottom . We were given a square of carrot cake and it had granulated sugar on top which was awful , we were really looking forward to our visit and felt totally let down .

Beautiful little tea room offering delicious cakes and other food items. Excellent service, lovely decor, quirky and family friendly with some incredible events throughout the year including visits from some very famous childrens characters such as princesses and superheros among others. Have a tea party with the Mad Hatter or elevenses with Snow White or a luncheon with Captain America! It really is a wonderful little treat for the family.

Amazing cafe! They serve the best cakes! Most the Tim's you can't even finish the slice as it's so large! Inside the cafe the decoration is so original, it's beautiful. They also make special cakes every Friday which include Maltesers, Lindt, Mini Egg, Guylian. My Favourite cake shop by far! Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely club sandwich - wasn't a true club Sandwich in the sense of 3 slices of bread, but lovely non the less. Unfortunately the piece of cake I had looked delicious, but was dry - had the Victoria sponge with lemon curd. Wasn't sure if it was aold or overcooked.

I went for the first time today and loved it. The staff are lovely. Had a chocolate cake which was absolutely delicious and so big I had to share it. Cup of tea was lovely too I do like my tea and sometimes I go to a cafe and think my tea at home is nicer I could have just stayed at home but this was not the case they had a good variety and good quality tea. Love it there

The Tea Cosy is Impressive, they have wheel chair access to the Tea room and have an amazing selection of freshly made cakes. Highly recommend this to everyone, really family friendly. Can also book for tea parties for children's birthdays. Update 2: Back in 2021 and The Tea Cosy has kept its amazing quality of food and staff as they did 3years ago. Highly recommend, this little hidden gem!

Just had a wonderful Beauty and the Beast themed afternoon tea for a baby shower at The Tea Cosy. The staff were so lovely and accommodating and the venue is very cute. We were able to decorate around our table and play some games. Such good value for money and the food (and unlimited teas!) was amazing. It was a great afternoon.Thoroughly recommend.

Loved it, a real hidden treasure. Was recommended to me and I'm glad it was. Went for a disney themed afternoon tea for a birthday and it was super. Table laid out lovely with beauty and the beast theme and the food was delicious!!! Taff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return!!

OK. Waited for a few minutes, before being acknowledged by Staff, as You have to wait to be seated. I requested a table for 2... First question was 'Have You booked'? :) 😀 Not 'Hello'.! ... obviously didn't book, as I requested a table for 2...and there was only 1 table indoors, being used. My Client is disabled and was hanging on to Me, as She is very unsteady on Her feet. No napkins or cutlery offered, so My Client ate Her salad garnish with Her fingers!. I chose a toasted teacake, ..toasted was questionable, as just looked like it had had a quick zap with the toaster. An OK experience. Main reason to use the Tea Cosy, was the easy parking, re disabled access.

Superb cream tea in a delightful setting. Staff were excellent, being both helpful and courteous. Will be retuning in the future. Thank you!

Lovely place. Cakes are beyond amazing. Having eaten cake here before, we asked them to make a chocolate cake for our son's 6th Birthday. It was amazing. It had all his favourite chocolates, and tasted fantastic.

Love lunch at The Tea Cosy Tea Rooms today. Salads were absolutely delicious and extremely generous in size! Really impressed with the friendly service, health and safety (C19) efforts and bright decor. We are already making plans to come back again with the kids! Next time we'll make sure we have room for cake!

Needed somewhere half way between Surrey and Somerset to meet my mother for her 93rd birthday. We had a lovely afternoon tea at The Tea Cosy yesterday, the cafe is cute and quirky, the food wonderful and the service impeccable. Mother loved it and I think we'll be back again.

Just popped in here this morning for a coffee whilst we thought about a second hand car we had just test driven. Staff welcoming and friendly. Covid-19 restrictions in place and distancing observed. Very clean, neat and tidy. We sat inside but there are tables outside too. Booking recommended tho we didn't and had a table for plenty of time before it was needed for a booking. Amazing cakes on display. Very tempting tho we resisted. Husband had delicious scrambled egg on toast which he really enjoyed. Most enjoyable experience and a relaxing place to think over our choices and decision making.

Travelled from Basingstoke to try this tea room, tucked away beside a car sales business. The inside transports you to a time of proper customer service, beautiful china and delicious food. We had panini and cakes which were first class. The tea made with leaves comes in a teapot complete with cosy. Absolutely charming.

Lots of yummy cakes to choose from! But if you're being healthy or are just after something for lunch, they have a good selection of salads, sandwiches, soup, paninis and lots of tasty things on toast! For a treat though,try their afternoon tea! 😋

Ideal place for tea parties, large or small, with themed parties -including Harry Potter - available. Easy to find as a meeting place, with friendly, helpful staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

Stopped here for a lunch , fresh mackerel on toast was delicious and plentiful. Great selection of cakes
