A huge thank you to Ang & Ian for a lovely Christmas dinner. As someone with multiple food intolerances it can be really hard to eat out, but they accommodated these dietary requirements really, really well. Booking in advance helped to make everything as smooth as possible, and the food was lovely. The portions were very generous and I definitely won't be hungry anytime soon 😂👌 Thank you again! 🤍

Brilliant pub and amazing staff they were so accommodating to our group of 30 people they exceeded our expectations.

First time visiting The Gardeners for lunch. Beef lasagne was perfect with garlic cheese bread, also the brownies were banging. Will visit again soon!

Really friendly landlord and landlady, lovely clean and welcoming lounge bar. Spent time joking with our 5yr old to bring him out of his shell. Food was amazing and good value for money. Real wood fire added to the atmosphere. Nearby Biddulph Grange NT if you want a meal after exploring the gardens. Can't wait to go back.

1st time of coming. Came with my sister,daughter and granddaughter. We all had different meals,the Food was amazing, best pub food we have had in a long time. Landlord and landlady were lovely and friendly. Will definitely be back again soon. Would definitely recommend

Fab beer garden amd friendly atmosphere

Didn't eat here but have had the food recommended by several friends. Lovely large Beer Garden, bright clean interior. Both the landlord and landlady were very welcoming and friendly with good sense of humour. We will be visiting again. Visited today for Sunday lunch. We both chose the Sunday roast beef. The presentation was very good, the vegetables were fresh and cooked well, the beef was succulent, very tender and flavoursome. We said we would like all of the veg on offer,so we received Mashed potatoes, Roast potatoes, green cabbage, peas, Broccoli, cauliflower, parsnip and carrots. We received a gravy boat each, which tasted really good, and meant I had plenty to fill my Yorkshire pudding with. We are definitely going to come here for meals again, and we will be bringing our family with us. Ps. I had eaten some of my lunch before I decided to take the enclosed photo.

Called in for some food to be told there's a 40 minute waiting time. Told people just walk in expecting to get served,there was only 5 people in there

Great pub, great landlord and landlady, and the food is always really good. The steak and ale pie is the best, highly recommended. Took the niece and nephew there in July and they loved playing in the garden. Will be back there this weekend.

Full of kids, massively overpriced on drinks for a local pub, they say it's dog friendly but it couldn't be more the opposite. Go out of biddulph if you want a good pub that isn't spoons

absolutely lovely pub honestly ,great food and great staff . Can be a bit of a wait but other than that it was a nice place to eat and will definitely be visiting again ,definitely having the homemade cheesecake again .

Came in with my family after not coming for years and it was a wonderful place to be. We enjoyed some food and the service was very nice. Lovely young waitresses. Landlady was nice and spoke to us for a while. In absolute awe of how much this pub has changed since the previous owners about 3 years ago.

Delicious roast dinners - they even have gluten free Yorkshire puddings. 7 year old said the dinners are ‘banging’ and finishes the lot!

Great food at a good price and very friendly

Really enjoyed the Sunday lunch today. My husband Mel is a chatterbox and he never spoke a word while eating his meal! The atmosphere was very inviting and was cosy sat by the fire. Nice selection of vegetables with our meal. We will definitely be back.

Really lovely pub. Has great beer garden with play area which will be great in the summer. Most of us had the burgers which were delicious and had been freshly cooked. Staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again!

It's a long time since I last went to the Gardeners Arms and I was extremely surprised on the changes, it's a great place to visit very warm staff who treat you well, clean and tidy, excellent food and can't remember the last time I had a plateful of food like that I would certainly recommend a visit

Friendly and welcoming, cozy near the wood burner. Had a number of different meals here and always good quality and value. The gourmet burgers are especially good !

We have been a number of times since moving to the area in November. Food is fabulous, Ian and Ange are great hosts and the locals welcoming. Can't wait for the summer and the beer garden. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Ang and Ian The Owners are so lovely and friendly. The service was excellent and the food was Amazing. The Ham was so soft and fresh, very tasty.The Fudge Cake was to die for. Best Fudge I have ever tasted 😏. Would Highly Recommend to anyone for a warm friendly environment 😀

Moved here from the United States, and found this pub down the street from us. It has been nothing, but inviting, friendly and considerate, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is delightful.

March 2023: Had delicious fresh cooked meal. Served by friendly staff. Delightful dog and a pretty polly, yes a chatty parrot too. Last summer, fabulous flowers in the garden of The Gardeners Arms! Nicely maintained. Big modern play area though currently closed. Great pub food and a huge garden!

Good place to chill and family friendly. New pizza and burger kitchen. Good food but need to work on pizzas way too much toppings.

Nice pub but afternoon jukebox was rather loud. Good beer and lager, not tried the food so can't comment. Not very good parking.

When you have the choice of a home cooked Sunday lunch or the beef and onion bap at the gardeners and the beef and onion bap wins it says enough.

The hot beef and onion bap with chips and gravy is amazing.

Just moved into the area and having no food, decided to call in to what is now our local. What a pleasant experience. Food was great, freshly made and tasted fantastic. Ian the landlord was very pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to returning soon.

Went here for Sunday lunch the meat was tough and the veg was uncooked not worth the money paid for it and the beer was so Expensive so won’t go back again , 1 star is being generous, and the member of staff that we spoke to was very rude

Friendly warm welcome and great food

I have a very special place in my heart for this pub. Lots of memories. Happy and sad. Mostly happy though. The food is great. A huge drink selection. Lots of options. The owners are lovely. Especially Shadow ❤️ kids play area. Loads of outdoor space. Big gazebo. Outdoor TV for football games. Clean toilets. Pool table. Karaoke. Sunday roasts. Nothing bad to say. 😊

Food was nice meat was lovely and tender . Though a bit pricey. Service a bit slow but was worth the wait.

Great pub and very handy from home! The lasagne is the best.

Called for lunch whilst out cycling. Big beer garden so we could sit with bikes. Ordered beef sandwich and chips. Beef was lovely and tender, chips had skin on were crispy on outside whilst nice and soft on the inside. Would recommend.

Food not the best ive had when eating out and a bit expensive for what they serve. Bread was dry chips weren't very nice and the mayonnaise was horrible. I also heard some other people complaining about their food as well. Don't think I'll be back any time soon.

The Sunday Roast was a bargain and really tasty. The serving staff were incredibly polite, and very accommodating to us in regards of whipping something up that wasnt on the menu for a friends child who is a rather fussy eater. The gentleman at the bar was lovely to chat with, and drink selection was good. Cant wait to go back and enjoy the huge beer garden out back once the suns out. I believe they do BBQs in the summer, which im very keen on going back for.
