Really solid local pub. Atmosphere is great. Decor is lovely and the two woman who seem to be on the bar are excellent. Their all round customer service is fantastic. Decent food, denote beer, decent kids menu. Can't fall off. Dog friendly. Nice little beer garden. Good hidden gem.

The Windsor Castle is a joy. It feels like cosy village pub. The landlady’s infectious smile and the rest of the lovely staff seems to lift the atmosphere and makes even the customers chatty and friendly. The food is so delicious and all homemade. I had one of the best pies I have ever had. I really can’t praise it enough. Thanks team for providing such a wonderful pub.

Have been a few times and love this pub. As someone with coeliac it's amazing to have so many gluten free options. All the food we've had has been amazing and reasonably priced.

Came here early on a Saturday during a bike ride for a drink and ended up staying for lunch. Our server, who I believe was the landlady, was really nice and friendly. She checked in to ask what we thought of the food, which was delicious! We had the chicken goujons, pork belly bites, gazpacho, crab rarebit, and fries, along with a few pints of lager and IPA from Rivertown. The bill came to around £50. We stayed longer than expected, enjoying the sunny weather in the lovely beer garden. We were also allowed to bring our bikes around the back, which was a nice touch. The place has a great independent and local vibe while still feeling welcoming. Highly recommended, and thanks again!

Had a lovely vegetarian Sunday roast here today. Staff were wonderful and friendly. We had a table booked inside but arrived early and sat in the beer garden instead as it was a nice day. The staff were super accommodating. The cauliflower cheese was the best we’d had in ages and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Lovely people and a chilled atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! :)

We used to visit before the refurbishment and thought the food was great. We were worried about the changes, however were pleasantly surprised. The food is amazing! We regularly come for the Sunday roast as it’s the best we’ve ever had and we’ve tried many pub roasts! The roast potatoes are crispy, my daughter confirms the crackling on the pork is to die for and the vegan alternative for me, is the best I’ve had. Also most importantly for us is they leave the Yorkshire pudding crispy and not covered in gravy, which we all love! I don’t post reviews often but the Windsor is worth every penny. They also have a nice garden in the summer months. Lastly I cant forget to mention how friendly and helpful the staff are, the customer service is 5* happy bellies, happy customers 😁

This is my local and I have been here many times for food or just a pint. The food has been consistently very high quality under the new team and they are all very friendly. Also lots of historic photos and maps on the walls for those who are interested!

We just met here to eat and had some lovely IPA. Burgers were fab, Garden clean, quiet and comfortable, service was friendly. Will definitely be back, the Sunday roasts looked amazing.

Sadly this pub doesn't take cash if they did we would visit more as it was once a much loved pub that we would visit at least once a week. There is no excuses for not accepting cash.

If I could have given 4.5, I would have done it. The food was good quality and we had no waiting.

Absolutely delighted to have discovered this little gem, and devastated to have lived in Finchley 6y without ever knowing its existence. The food was absolutely delicious, some lovely ales on draught and the welcome from the owner was so warm. We came with another family and 4 kids between us. Can't wait to come back for either a pint or a meal.

This is such a great local pub. Has a lovely beer garden and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Sunday lunches are amazing.

Went in to watch England in the Rugby World Cup and found the pub to be near empty on a Saturday night. I asked if the game could be shown on the TV, which the barmaid kindly put on for me but when I asked if the sound could be turned on too, I was told this was out of the question because this isn't a 'sports bar'. I didn't make an issue, I just drank up and left to watch elsewhere. I'm well aware this isn't a sports bar, this is a pub. Pubs up and down the country generally put on the game when a national team is playing in a major tournament on free-view. It's not my pub and people are free to run their businesses how they wish, I just thought it a shame and it certainly would have brought in more business as other drinking establishments in the area, which showed the game, were busy. This is not a bad pub and it's choice of beers is good but since its refurbishment, it seems to have forgotten what being a pub is about.

The Sunday roasts are outstanding with a great wine selection (the pinot noir is outstanding!) and a wonderful beer selection. Be sure to book a table as it fills up quickly! Also very dog friendly for those wanting to bring their pooches!

My sister and I chose the Windsor Castle as the venue for a funeral reception based on the lovely relaxed atmosphere and beer garden. Once Arina sent over the menus for us to look over, we knew we had made the right choice. The team made the day so special, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and everyone commented on the wonderful food, with several saying they would be back soon for the Sunday roast. We had some extremely happy vegans in our group too. I honestly can't thank the Windsor Castle enough for helping us make the day such a joyful remembrance.

Very impressive service! Seriously professional. Had a Sunday roast with my mother, who dropped a knife during her meal. The waitress replaced it within 10 seconds. Super observant! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Lovely pub! Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this little pub, only been going the last 6 months but I can honestly say it’s got such a warm friendly atmosphere. The staff are incredibly attentive and the food is always piping hot and fresh. The roast dinner is so delicious 😋

The Windsor Castle is my local but I haven’t visited nearly enough! The food here is fantastic, it gives the term ‘pub grub’ a new, more sophisticated, meaning. They also have some great beers on tap, including the Elysium hells which i thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a great pub in a great spot!

I held a wake at the The Windsor Castle Friday 21st March The landlady is lovely and helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The people who attended complimented the food and said it was amazing. Thank you Arina you really helped the day to run smoothly . Sam

Visited this pub for the first time since refurbished, it is excellent. Moreso, the vegan options are very tasty. It far surpassed our expectations. I had the vegan roast wellington and my wife the mushroom pie and mash. The pies are made onsite, very fresh. Highly recommended!

Had a great meal here this weekend. Food and atmosphere are great and the staff were welcoming and attentive. They were happy to cater for children before 9pm and made menu adjustments to suit which were hugely appreciated. A really friendly local pub and we'll definitely be back.

Used the pub twice with the old management . Couldn’t drink in there anymore, the carpet and seats were filthy didn’t feel that it was a clean place to sit and enjoy a drink. Now the pub he is sparkling clean and has a lovely lovely outside garden space for the summer time. The inside is simply beautiful . And spotlessly clean. Lovely friendly staff . An absolute pleasure to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine This tiny little pub it’s a little gem.

Really nice local pub. It has been recently refurbished but clearly done with consideration for the character of the building. It’s small and cosy and the service was friendly and smiley by the co-owner woman. No food served yet but they advised early 2023 the kitchen should be up and running. Beer selection was good with some nice IPAs on tap. We will definitely be returning to support these local businesses.

I was devastated to stop by for a pint at this once brilliant traditional pub to see that it is sadly in the process of being destroyed in favour of a modern refurbishment. Traditional fixtures being ripped out, along with the heart and soul. I guess that’s my last visit to The Windsor Castle. For those searching for a replacement local pub with its character still in tact I’d recommend the Famous Royal Oak in Muswell Hill. Hopefully one day breweries and publicans will stop turning warm and friendly public houses into brightly lit bars that resemble student unions. We are losing far too many good pubs to this trend.

A nice little pub in a quiet part of Finchley. The staff are friendly, no problems at all with the service. The beer garden is spacious, a good place to be in the summer. A good place to have a quiet drink.

We love it here, had a Thai meal which was absolutely delicious, thoroughly recommended the Thai food and my daughter loved her kids meal. Staff always super friendly when we go in. Thanks Windsor Castle

We ordered thai food to be delivered last night and were so disappointed in the quality. Both curries were completely flavourless and watery. Not what I expected from a place that came personally recommended and has such great reviews.
