We went for my Freinds birthday. Table for six . Warm welcome by the owner. Excellent Lemon sole for main meal . I was allowed to bring Gluten Free cake for my friends birthday which I thought was very kind . Thank you Will definitely go again

The packet pasta, made with cheap bacon and CREAM in the carbonara. An insult to any Italian because their sign says "authentic Italian cuisine." THE WORST CARE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE In addition to that, I have ordered a dessert that I have not been able to eat due to alcohol intolerance and not only has it been taken off the table in a bad way, but on top of that they have charged me 8 pounds for it, without eating it or being able to take it as a gift.

Giacomo's rustic and homely vibe is a good find in London 🇮🇹 My husband and I wanted to try here since we saw its many positive reviews. Inside the restaurant is beautifully decorated and reminds you of being in a village with its wooden ceiling and exposed brick walls, giving a very relaxing and inviting environment 🪴 The menu is Italian, offering many traditional dishes. A lot of variety is offered, with many pasta dishes and meat dishes offered 🍝 If you are a lover of spice 🌶️ I highly recommend Spaghetti with olive oil, garlic and chilli. I have not found many Italian dishes are truly spicy! The service is very friendly, with free amaretti biscuits given to us at the end of our meal 🍪 The price was very decent for the portion sizes. Overall a very pleasant experience and I hope to come back again to try their specials menu next time 😊

Giacomo’s Finchley Road, is the one restaurant we would happily recommend to any visiting Italians looking for excellent food, very good value, where you are met with friendly, personable, but also professional team, & although it’s small in size & doesn’t boast a garish ambience, it’s mighty in being rated highly, as local people & beyond, are returning time and time again. You don’t need to go to Knightsbridge, Chelsea, or Sloane Square, & pay huge sums for lunch or dinner, in our opinion, Giacomo’s is timeless. Best wishes Jacqueline & Terry

Home made Italian food brilliant

Delicious food. Delightful decoration. My 102 year old friend thoroughly enjoyed her lunch visit, as did I.

What a gem this place is. Tucked away yet one of the best and most authentic Italian restaurants I've come across in the UK. This doesn't do your mass-chain Italian food and no pizza here, though the dishes here are delicious and the atmosphere like many of the little bistros I ate during my travels across Italy over the years. For me as much as I like classic pastas, oh my that steak sauce with the rib eye steak...Friendly staff, seems to have a good set of regulars which is a good sign for more of that community feel. Superb!

Excellent food, excellent service by the staff. Really friendly and inviting. I recently visited northern Italy for a road-trip holiday and honestly this restaurant is definitely the closest vibe to what I experienced on that trip. Was with members of my extended family who are regular world travellers and they were super impressed this place existed. Plan to visit again soon and as often as I can when passing the area.

One of the great secrets of Hampstead. Truly exceptional food at scarcely believable prices (this is London, after all), Giacomo’s is consistently excellent, and run by some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

We live in the neighborhood and have often seen this place packed on weekdays and weekends while walking by. So we were naturally curious to visit once. We can understand now why this place is so successful 😊 Cozy place with amazing food and atmosphere and very welcoming and warm hosts. We ordered avocado prawn, melon ham, ravioli with walnut sauce and one green pasta with mushroom we forgot the name, accompanied with house wine. The food was simply amazing and very generous portions. We were totally full but still went for dessert. We ordered the Tiramisu which was again amazing. Highly recommended. We would definitely visit again.

Great place to eat, food and service were wonderful.

Cozy and warm place. Surprisingly tasty dishes (it exceeded my expectations by a lot). You should try ravioli gorgonzola and pate's Maison! If you are up for a dessert tiramisu is a must, it is homemade! Really friendly staff. I would definitely try it again.

We ordered the spaghetti pesto and a tagliatelle with mushroom and sauce. By far the best pasta I’ve had in a long time. The service was lovely and welcoming. This was our first time here, but we’ll 100% be coming back again!

Quality traditional Italian fayre.

This very friendly, family run business offered us very good value. The menu is huge and it is all a bit 1980’s but it tasted fine and was well presented. It is a very small restaurant and the tables are very close together but it seems to be hugely popular, many guests being regulars. This was my first time there but it is definitely worth a return visit.

This family run restaurant is on Finchley road. It looks like a tacky restaurant from outside. Must book. Mostly locals visit this restaurant. The owner is the cook. Try their pasta dishes and their Cotellat Milanese . Also their zabaglione is excellent for desert.

We had a lovely experience here, with impeccable service and brilliant food. It was also very well priced, which surprised me for a restaurant of this quality in London! We will be back.

Always a joy to eat here. Always full with locals who know how good it is. We visit two or three times a year (from 150+ miles north) and are sure of a welcome. The food is consistently delicious. Ravioli, veal, chicken, sea bass, lemon sole are all perfectly cooked. We would also recommend the Zabaglione, the best I have eaten, hot, alcoholic and beautifully blended. Complimentary biscotti, unique to Giacomo’s are put out at the end of the meal. They are soft, fruity, spicy and incredibly more-ish; be sure to leave a little space. The proprietor often does the FoH on her own with astonishing efficiency and an unenviable work load, however all is still prompt and timely. We like to spend a whole evening soaking up the busy and sociable atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit.

Been going here for almost 30 years and it's a fantastic local Italian where the food is made with love 'home cooked style' - always leave full and never dissapointed. Always have to book in advance. Prices reasonable and in truth our family favourite.

Absolutely amazing! Saturday evening, we were staying in the area and just wanted some nice food after a long day of sightseeing… We came, we were 5, had no reservations, it was fully booked, we still have been accommodated! Amazing home made food, so comforting after such a long day! I can only recommend this place, but make sur to book in advance to have the full experience! It is a very small place, which is probably why the food is so fresh and amazing! Thank you again!

Everything a local bistro should be. . Family run, small , intimate , good pasta choice plus excellent very large schnitzel, plus daily specials. Prices are fair as days of bargain meals in London are over , now been half a dozen times always good .

Happened to find this little gem of a restaurant whilst in the area for a meeting and was pleasently surprised by the family atmosphere, cosy decor, quality service and top-notch pasta. I had the penne alla puttanesca and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly Al-Dente. My friend had the penne with meatballs and we both enjoyed it very much. We shall be back for sure!

What an experience!!!! If you're looking for authentic italian food, this is the place to go. The owner couldn't do enough for us from the moment we phoned to book a table from the moment she gave us our coat to leave. The food was cooked fresh and the portions were perfect. There was plenty of choice and the homemade desserts were unbelievable. The next time we're in London, we'll definitely come back here.

Amazing pasta, superb - I suggest sticking to the simples because they are THE best and really get the best out of each ingredient. You appreciate every ingredient for what it is. And the lady is lovely and super helpful in guiding your choices.

What a pleasure to eat in this small,friendly and excellently run restaurant. All 3 of courses were of a consistently high quality,served promptly with a smile.This is not haute cuisinebut the classic dishes are of generous proportions and full of flavour.The prices are more then reasonable and the overall level of customer satisfaction put many grander west end establishments to shame.The restaurant has been going for many years and last nights meal shows that it will continue for many more years to come.A thoroughly enjoyable night out.Thankyou Giacomo's.

It's perfect for what it is. A small traditional Italian restaurant. Old fashioned favourites rather than TV competition cuisine. The food is always very well prepared and fresh. House red by glass is multipulciano.

Such delicious food! The chicken was very well cooked and I loved the mushroom sauce, the garlice chilli spaghetti was so tasty as well and the tiramisu was the perfect end to the meal! Everything seemed to be prepared with care and the service was very friendly as well

The serving team is very polite and sweet. The food is fresh and tasty. Worth visiting to try the mushroom risotto and Bolognese pasta. My kids enjoyed the food and they got a lovely treat as a gift and chocolate.

The food is delicious largish portions with pleasant service despite this we are infrequent diners here as we used to find the restaurant on the dim side On this visit it seems to have brightened up or my eyes have improved Lovely liver superb escalopes hearty soups four very contented diners especially our hosts who only recently discovered this gem small but always busy for that reason, and almost full when we visited on a mid week evening

We moved into the area and ordered during lockdown for our anniversary. We had starters, pizza and dessert. Ordering was easy but when the food came it was a huge disappointment. One of the starters was missing, so my husband had to go out again to pick it up. The prawn-avocado starter was an avocado cut in half with some prawns around it and with what tasted like a store bought sauce on the side. I could have done that myself! The pizzas tasted like they went into a conventional oven, not a pizza oven. We both did not enjoy them. The dessert was fabulous, but given that the rest was so disappointing we won’t order again.

For some reason this restaurant is not on Trip Advisor: perhaps that’s a good thing as it is already quite busy - or it was when I ate there with a friend recently. On a Saturday night it was full of family groups, mostly local regulars I’d say, but we were quickly found a table, given a menu, ordered food and pleasantly served, all with great bonhomie but no fuss. No starter needed, with crusty Bread on the table to dip in flavourful olive oil. Liver dishes seem to be a specialty of the house and mine was delicious, tender (£12). On the side I had asparagus with egg. The latter was served, untraditionally but still tasty, fried and laid on top of the spears. My friend had Giacomo’s own "pasta di casa", Tagliatelle verdi ai funghi, which delighted her with it’s unusual colour and combination of flavours (£9.50). To finish, we had a glass each of Amaretto and a chat with the owners; father and son. A lovely meal at a great price - highly recommended.
