Excited to go there - booked through opentable - got the babysitter in, got a taxi there only to find a note in the window saying the restaurant was closed. Couldnt get in another restaurant locally - went home and ordered pizza. Very disappointing friday date night :(

i have been here several times and have never had a bad meal, the host will make you anything that he can, the Italian styled food is brilliant. this is a lunch time venue, not posh but great food.

Had a good lunch just before Easter. There is a nice atmosphere in the small cafe and the food was good. Seafood salad and Tomato Bruschetta. Quite a good choice, menu was written on a Board on the wall. Staff were friendly

Hemos estado viviendo en la zona durante más de un año y realmente no hemos encontrado un lugar para desayunar / brunch de forma regular. Cafe Rosi es la respuesta para nosotros. . . El fondo siciliano aporta un sabor diferente a la comida y es un cambio bienvenido de lo que se sirve en las cadenas de restaurantes habituales. ¡No dudes en venir y verlo por ti mismo!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant on a lovely street in Wimbledon. Excellent service from start to finish, from the delicious antipasti with drinks to start to the creamy risotto. Friendly staff, delicious food, couldn’t recommend enough.

I love the new look of this old time cafe and I am so happy that it is now open as a restaurant too. It's a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is delicious and the service it is professional and friendly. Also great value for money!

We had a most enjoyable supper here on 13/01/2018 - a Saturday. Great ambience and authentic delicious Sicilian food. Pepe is a very welcoming host and we hope to visit Cafe Rosi again soon.

We have been coming here for 3 years plus and it shames me I have not already written a review. They have recently had a make over and some new items added to the menu. It has lost none of it’s previous friendliness and quality, but does have a more upmarket feel now.The quality of the food is extremely good. It offers everything you would hope for from a local Italian restaurant, but is consistently good and there is obvious pride and attention to detail in the food, and the staff are extremely friendly. We had a daughter 15months ago and she has been welcome throughout. They have high chairs and a family friendly attitude. We have not taken her in the late evening but that is out of consideration for other patrons rather than anything else.The menu has very reasonably priced pasta and pizza options as well as a good variety of meet and fish. The menu is still small enough that the food is fresh and well presented. The new additions to the menu are more pricey, but introduce truffle, steak and more expensive dishes to give those who want an extra treat an option.The home made cakes are also superb, as is the home made nougat if you are lucky enough for them to have it on. The cakes and some take away food are available. The arancini and calzone are delicious even if just microwaved at work (but oven heat if you can!). It was originally a cafe/ dinner combo but is moving more towards a restaurant with take away.Highlights include the Caponata (I order it with a pizza and dollop it on top) and anything baked really! It isn’t gastronomic but it is as good as it could be for what it sets out to be.

If you want a wonderful local Italian restaurant this simply can't be beaten. Fresh produce and the pasta is delicious. Breakfast is great too!

Second visit and still really like this place. The food is simple and great quality at pretty reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and it is quite an informal little place but they make you feel quite special. Will be back.

This place was a great little find. Local, pretty unassuming from the outside but we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Food was really tasty - decent choices and all good. Will def return.

Very friendly service and my prosecco was beautifully presented with a delicious strawberry on the side. My son really enjoyed his pizza although my friend was a little disappointed with the quantity of salmon on her plate compared to salad. However, the waitress took it away and the salmon was topped up free of charge. I will happily go back again but I would suggest that customers would be more content and happy to pay a little more if their food contained more of the main ingredient.

Fuimos a este agradable restaurante italiano, cerca de donde mi godson y su esposa ha comprado una casa, para cenar con ellos. Debo decir que el servicio y la comida en el café están totalmente honesto Rosi y sin pretensiones. Teníamos antipasto y a la parmesana para empezar, seguido de cordero y pasta, regados con dos botellas de vino de la casa. Total, incluyendo el servicio, una noche muy buena y agradable, 80 libras! !

Wonderful local cafe! Exceptionally friendly staff and excellent value for money, especially the pizza. I now visit regularly with my baby during the day and have enjoyed everything I tried. The fresh cakes are ever changing and highly recommended!

Have discovered this local cafe since being on maternity leave and it has been great. Excellent place to bring visitors or just to get out of the house with the baby. Staff are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Always recommending new cakes or finding space for the buggy. Mostly visit during the day and have enjoyed lovely pastries, cakes, sandwiches, hot drinks etc but most impressive is the value of the pizza! So lucky to have such a great local cafe/ restaurant and not have to make do with a big chain.

Was delighted to find Café Rosi and expectant when we arrived - a lovely small cosy restaurant with a inviting ambience. Unfortunately the food was disappointing - especially the saute potatoes which were hardly sautéed.. When we asked about it, there was not much of a response from the waitress but later when raising it again with the manager, we were informed that this is due to the older clientele and that if we want them crispy next time, to ask on ordering. My friend said her fish was dry. The desert looked beautiful but was nothing to write home about. So whilst ambience and value and range on menu get big ticks from me, unfortunately the food is disappointing and we probably wont go back. May try it for brunch and see if that is better.

We stayed in Wimbledon for a few days and found this place just down from our B&B. We visited a couple of times and the food and service were excellent. The range of food on offer was very good (the breads look wonderful), and the quality was exceptional. Beautifully cooked and beautifully served (you MUST try the cake), we enjoyed three courses and a drink at a not expensive £30-35 for two. What really sets the place apart though was the service, which was superb. It has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere thanks to the staff who were friendly and efficient. If you are staying in Wimbledon then get away from those dreadful chains on the main street. There are some nice places in the village, but they are pricey. This is tucked away on its own in a quiet spot but it is well worth seeking out. Excellent.

2 people 3 courses plus drinks and coffees £39. It's bargain, the food is basic but of a nice quality . We like it as its not main stream and has a nice feel.

Thought we would try this little local Italian as the reviews were good. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The place soon filled up with regulars so our hopes were high. The menu is not as traditional as I thought it would be as it had things like chicken wings in chilli and BBC sauce, is this usual in Italy? There weren't any specials of the day just the menu. The antipasti starter was ok, although I thought we could have been given more than 3 small slices of baguette. The ragu filled arancini was luke warm with not much flavour. Then a few Deliveroo guys arrived waiting to pick up take aways. We didn't mind the delay as we don't like to rush through the courses. The pasta dish arrived again luke warm but flavour was ok. Another delay and then our veal arrived. The sauté potatoes were a mixture of piping hot and half frozen pallid chunks. No crispy bits. We sent the dish back and got a plate with piping hot pots but the veal was now over cooked. Such a shame. The staff said the chef was really busy with all the take away orders so he must have rushed our meal and that's why it was cold. Not a pleasant experience so sorry Cafe Rosi we will not be back.

A little gem in wimbeldon, nice service and great food.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Small cafe setting and very cheap prices - between £4-£11 - so we were not too sure how good it would be. But oh my goodness, it felt like I was in Italy. Incredible dishes, completely authentic and such great value for money. I will be taking everyone I know there now! If you are looking for a nice get together dinner in Wimbledon and want to taste incredible Italian food, definitely take the trip to Cafe Rosi.

Have always enjoyed this well priced restaurant, with good food and service. Great desserts and good ambience, will always go back. All meals are generally good as we have covered most of the menu.

Came here Christmas Eve with my two teenage daughters. Amazingly, it wasn't busy and service was quick & friendly. Food was good, no frills, standard Italian fare. This is an ideal place for relaxed & cosy, snack or meal.

We were looking for a restaurant to meet up with a old friend after a beer in Wimbledon. Having read reviews we decided to give cafe rosi a try. The walk from Wimbledon was easy as well, we had made a reservation and when we arrived as a lot of previous reviews said, it was fairly quiet, though it did get busier a bit later.The waitresses were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was really good, it had a local feel to it and we could see that some of the other guests were regulars. I started with some prawns cooked in a spicy sauce, well balanced and not to spicy but a lovely warming feel to it. My main course was monkfish which was beautifully cooked in a very good sauce. The others had a pizza and calimari, both of which I had a taste and both were really good. My dessert was a banoffe pie, well I have never had a banoffe pie like, the topping was light and fluffy and basically wonderfull.We had a bottle of red and the meal was very good value, I ate of the main menu, but the set menus looked really good bargains.It really was a great evening and I have no doubt that we will return and though my scores cannot reflect my valuation of the evening as it is much closer to five stars than four. If your in the area give it a try, my one worry is that if to many people take my advice it will become much more difficult to find a table.

We are regulars of Cafe Rosi, both during the day but more especially on Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening when they open their doors for dinner. Their food is tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff are so friendly and welcoming it is like greeting family rather than dining out.

Have been here many times with family or with my boyfriend and it has never been disappointing! The food is all delicious, my personal favourites being the carbonara and the banoffee pie!

Having discovered Cafe Rosi only 2 months ago, we've been back several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast pizza requires a second review. Take a full English and substitute the bread for a pizza base. Top that with pizza sauce, so no need for ketchup, and then add the full English as toppings. The result is amazing and at £6.95 it's excellent value too. An absolute must try and is perfect for breakfast, brunch or even lunch.

We tried Cafe Rosi for the first time an hour ago despite living 5 mins away for 15 months. I'm just disappointed we didn't find it sooner but we'll certainly make up for lost time by going back regularly. Everything was wonderful, a lovely presented cafe, friendly staff, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We shared the bruschetta starter, both had the carbonara and a white chocolate cannoli for desert which I'll definitely be having again. My wife had a coffee, which she said was excellent, we both had soft drinks and the bill was £22. One thing I'll definitely be going back for very soon is the breakfast pizza which sounds like a wonderful variation of the traditional English breakfast. I can't praise this place enough, it was an amazing lunch. It's definitely worth a short walk from the town centre and a must for locals.

We recently diacovered this lovely little Italian restaurant in our neighbourhood. Our first experience was a tasty, light lunch of delicious paninis, which we enjoyed while admiring the pleasing decor and marvelling at the unbelievably reasonable prices on the breakfast and dinner menu. We took home a selection of scrumptious biscuits from their impressive patisserie and biscuit counter and vowed to return. We did so, for dinner, only a week or so later. We were not disappointed! Fantastic 3 course meal including delicious monkfish and veal mains, lovely wine by the glass, and decadent desserts, all for £70 with service, which was friendly and efficient. Run by a lovely local italian family. It was quiet on a Saturday night but that suited us - and it's small, so feels cosy anyway. Amazing value and we can't wait to go back.

This great little cafe is just around the corner from where we live. We have visited for breakfast lunch and dinner and would definitely recommend. Prices are exceptionally reasonable, and there are set menus at lunchtime and in the evening. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, the food is really nice too although not gourmet. For example a pasta dish is around 6 pounds, a pizza £4.50, bruchetta 3 pounds etc. .

Lo abbiamo trovato per caso vicino il nostro B&B, molto simpatici, in una settimana ci abbiamo mangiato spesso si spende poco e si parla italianoooo.....se avete dei regimi alimentari particolari chiedete pure sono molto disponibili..ci tornerei sicuramente...

for a small restaurant it had an extensive menu, and a pretty good wine list.It was very reasonably priced, and the young Italian lady who served was was better than outstanding.Alas it was not busy for an early Saturday night , about half full, although that didn't matter as we were with friends Price was very good, four of us with 2 bottles of house wine £80 . We have spent twice this amount in other iItalian restaurants and not had such good food or service. Well worth a try.

Good value local cafe with Italian bent. You can sit outside but Leopold Road is busy. Service is friendly.
