Great pizzas only spoiled by 1 pizza wasn't kept flat and all the topping had slide to one side.

Nice place, food perfect. But..no beer/wine offered, which is fine. But then, if you don't supply wine etc...why charge corkage? Doesn't make sense.

Had a delicious unplanned meal here tonight. Just busy enough and the food was excellent.

This is a fantastic local family friendly, family run easy going affordable but still high standard Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant. Staff and great, food is great. No alcohol licence because of the their local restrictions but they will happily allow you to bring your own booze and there is a corner shop 30 yards away if you forget to bring from home.

Genuinely such kind staff such good food nice atmosphere but this place NEEDS more people fast service aswell and some flavoursome food try this place if you can #1 spot for going out

What a shame, I have previously enjoyed the food at this restaurant but a poor experience this week. Let's start with the customer service. On arrival my friends and I were told that we hadn't booked, when I showed the confirmation email the waiter said we had not been added to the list. We were then offered a cramped table usually seating 2, we were 3. No real apology. The food was pretty average and unfortunately my friend who ate a tuna salad had a stomach upset that night. I emailed Marina at the restaurant to let her know. It may not have been the salad but I thought Marina may be concerned about the hygiene at the restaurant. No reply We will not return. PS Marina has been in touch and offered compensation, no acknowledgment that something may have been wrong with the food. My conclusion remains the same.

Food was amazing always come here and it's always the best meal of the week.

I visited today for lunch for the first time and I found a nice atmosphere, lovely staff, and delicious food.

This is a family run, non licenced (bring your own wine) local favourite. Excellent food, homey atmosphere. Recommended.

Don’t use their online reservation system as you get no notice and they never respond and pretend it’s not in their system, surprisingly they then added me to their mailing list… just email and say ‘sorry we are full’.

A simply fantastic local gem - delicious traditional starters, pizzas and pastas which entice my whole family back time and time again.

Enjoyed dinner with a mate in this local family homely feeling place. It’s tiny and you sit very close to other tables but it somehow works well. Service was lovely and with a smile. Started garlic bread (pizza base + cheese) was awesome. Mains pizza was also great. Seafood dish had a sauce I could slurp every day, seafood was great. Only minor point is that the fish cutlets were slightly over done, but it did not take away from an overall superb experience. I like the BYOW. Can’t wait to go again

Great pizza, nice atmosphere if a little cramped. Bring your own beverage, there is a small mini supermarket opposite if you forget.

I am a regular and love the comfort of a really well made, tasty Italian meal. The Bolognese is my go to dish for a chilly autumnal evening. However one star off as the portions were uncharacteristically small this time round so not as good value as usual.

Pasta is great, many flavour choices. Service is great, always friendly, food ready on time. Pizza was disappointing. Margherita says fresh basil, no basil on the pizza, not much sauce. I hope this can change. With that I’m looking forward to returning again!

Very tasty pizza, unfortunately despite I live very close to the restaurant, the pizza was not hot or even very warm when delivered and I had to put it in the oven to heat it up which obviously affected the taste. Quite disappointing!

What a lovely local place. Friday dinner, wish they, had a smaller size pizza as I really, wanted another bite

The food is excellent. Starters of garlic prawns, Italian sausage and polenta, garlic bread and calamari were all excellent. Mains of ravioli, pasta and gnocchi were equally excellent. Desserts too. Proper family vibe. Very friendly. Will visit again.

Small, tucked away, authentic Italian restaurant located in the back streets of East Finchley. It came recommended to us and we were not let down when we visited. Great value, food and service and we liked the fact it was BYOB. We'll be sure to be back.

Since we moved to the area a few years ago I wanted to try 'Il Piccolo Villaggio'. The experience was so disappointing. We arrived shortly after 18:30, were asked repeatedly if we had booked, which we hadn't, and then were given a table for two, while we were three, next to an open door to the street. There were only two other tables been served, and very few costumers arrived afterwards, none of which seemed to have booked. We ordered one pasta (child portion), one pizza, one aubergine 'alla parmigiana' and one side of spinach, plus two soft drinks - £38, which may have been acceptable if the food had been any good. Instead, it was one of the worst meal that I've had in UK. The aubergines were tasteless and mushy (an gave me a stomach ache!), the sausage on the pizza was definitely off and the spinach were frozen and badly cooked. Our son's pasta was average. I am giving two star instead of one only because the waiter, a young man, was nice and very polite. Avoid wasting your money.

I’ve been coming to Il Piccolo Villagio for years but have just had one of the most embarassing experiences of my life there. My order arrived and it was incorrect, I asked tor it to be corrected and was told I would have to then pay for both. The owner tried to let me leave without a refund which I demanded. Was thrust in my hand in coins, three other customers were looking on awkwardly, explained what had happened, was told never to return to the restaurant. I’m so disappointed. This was terrible service.

This place was recommended to us, my friend and I just got some pizza to take away, really nice place, friendly staff and delicious food! Will be back, Thank you :)

It is a very cozy and familiar Italian restaurant. The food is exquisite, the ideal atmosphere to share with family or friends, the prices are reasonable and the attention to customers is magnificent. The restaurant does not offer alcoholic drinks, but for £1 per person you can bring your own and accompany your favorite meal. Totally recommended!!

The worst food I’ve ordered from Deliveroo yet and I order 3 days a week. Stay away from this place it’s a waste of money.

Nice traditional Italian food - bring your own booze - quite pricy considering what I ate - garlic pizza (shared) and Lasagne with lots of tomato and not much else. (Not much meat, pasta or cheese) - very nice, friendly service

My favourite Italian by far. A hidden gem or maybe not as it is supper popular. Amazing food, pizzas are the best in London, I have not found anywhere better except when in Rome. The Restaurant is cozy, relaxed and a good atmosphere. As for the service, the staff are brilliant and in particular Alina!!! Thank you for always taking care of us and providing a great experience!

Terrible. I ordered a full meal worth £40 recently via a food delivery service. My son got food poisoning from their pizza and was up all night vomiting. I reported this as a comment on their review on the food delivery app. Which I later discovered was removed by the restaurant. If you want to mislead the public by doing that and project the perfect image go right ahead It wont do you any favours. I do not recommend this establishment.

We were there last week, the stracciatella soup was nothing special. Tasteless and tasteless. The lasagna was not made from natural tomato but from a pot. The risotto, they were a lot of mushrooms with almost no rice. The staff had no interest in serving, the food is not at all like a real Italian restaurant. They must try harder. Terrible, it hurt to pay the 30 pounds.

The staff spent more time dealing with the delivery drivers waiting outside then looking after the customers inside. Food was okay. Heard great things but very disappointing.

We have been coming here for years and are still super excited every time we decide to visit. The pasta dishes are delicious and David's pizzas are as good as any I have eaten anywhere in the world including Italy! These days our 2 year old talks all the time about "going to Marina's restaurant". Her favourite is Tagliolini al Granchio just like her mum. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
