My husband and I had a wonderful expereince at this very special, intimate resturant tucked away in London. The staff was incredibly professional and intent on making our experience top notch. We especially enjoyed meeting Oliver, who spent time with us explaining the duck and lobster presses and giving us a lovely tour of the wine cellar. Otto himself was plating dishes and making sure that every course met his high standards. We can't wait to return on our next visit to London.

An excellent and ever-changing choice of real ale, kept in perfect condition. There's a comfortable function / darts room at the back. I was there for a pint and a meeting in the back room so I can't comment on food. I like the constantly changing choice of real ale available.
Hard to review as we never got to eat there! I was meeting two friends and booked via the website. I didn’t receive a confirmation so called and left a message on Wednesday. They text back later that day to say all was fine for Friday. We got there and there was a sign in the window saying “closed due to illness”. No communication received via text, email or phone. Not good after travelling an hour to meet up.

Heard about this secret bar from someone in the The Strait and Narrow. Well worth a visit if you want a unique experience in the style of a speakeasy. No way you would know that this is a bar as it looks like a derelict TV repair shop but in the back is a secret cocktail bar. Staff were friendly, good selection of interesting cocktails to try.
Your best to book as its a smallish venue.
A warm welcome , food was great , pool table , darts , free parking , reasonably priced .. we enjoyed our visit we wish the couple who have recently taken over all success
Simply and casually furnished in an imaginatively refurbished 18th century property close to the square. Service is very friendly, heavily reminiscent of the casual atmosphere in countryside Italian restaurants and not pushy. The menu is extensive in an era of increasingly limited choice and pricing is sensible. The tasty Murano lager and house Puglian red were surprisingly premium in taste and drinking enjoyment. The kitchen is open to the restaurant and a hive of co-ordinated activity. We tried a selection of seafood, Pasta and pizza dishes and very much enjoyed our dining experience here. The pizza has a delightfully thin base; the toppings are unusually generous and, crucially, fresh. It's a cut above many Italian restaurants that are now losing their individuality and flair. It's clearly a popular and regular haunt for locals - another good sign.
I was disappointed that the Set Lunch Menu was no longer available but, as we received a warm welcome, decided to stay for lunch.
The menu is a cut above the standard pub menu with prices to fit, although there was a limited Pub Classics choice. My onion tart was well cooked, although the dish as a whole was very oily. My husband's fish and chips came in a very generous portion but slightly overcooked.
All in all, we would not go again for lunch as there were no light alternatives but I am sure it would be perfect for a special occasion.
Went last night with partner and family. Service always excellent and food is top notch, been a number of times now and enjoyed every mouthful. Without doubt the best in the area.
