We are blessed to have this fantastic pub/restaurant/b&b on our doorstep. Superb food, lovely welcoming staff, dog-friendly, great value for money and excellent ales. It ticks all the boxes and more. PS, the salted caramel ice cream is to die for! 😉

First visit, nothing too much trouble. Lovely food. Enjoyed it with two friends. On our best pub food list.

What a hidden gem The Wheatsheaf turned out to be! Randomly booked for an overnight when we were in Australia. The room was very cute and cosy and full of character as well as being very comfortable. Had dinner and a drink in the pub. The food was amazing. I have to say the best burger meal I have had. The staff were exceptionally genuinely friendly and took pride in working here. We will go out of our way to visit again next time we are in the UK. Thank you for a lovely stay and one of the most enjoyable dinners we have had here in the UK.

After travelling England, Wales &Scotland for 5 weeks and finding a boring sameness on the menus, we found the Wheatsheaf to be a breath of fresh air with a great many different dishes. Service was friendly and excellent. Leslie was happy to accommodate us with food which is not normally served on Sunday nights.

We visited The Wheatsheaf Inn on a Bank Holiday Monday when it appeared that most other venues were not open or not doing food. We received a warm welcome from the young lady behind the bar and chose to eat in the restaurant rather than the bar area. I chose a pint of Butty Bach which was very pleasant and but for the fact that I was driving, would easily have sampled a few more. We skipped starters and went straight for main courses, I chose the gammon and the wife opted for salmon. My gammon came with an egg, two pineapple rings, peas and chips and the gammon was the biggest piece I have ever encountered on a plate. Fortunately I was hungry and it was very nice indeed. My wife also enjoyed her salmon with a sweet chilli sauce on a bed of rice with a salad. We were offered puds but just had no room even though many of my favourites were on the list. It was good value for under £40 including drinks and we will certainly be going back as there are other items on the menu I wish to try.

Food is fantastic. Don't think you could find a pub with better value for money! All home cooked,fresh & plentiful. As one of a group of friends,that regularly meet here to catch up & enjoy a good meal,you just can't fault it. Desserts are amazing too!!!

This is the place to have a very lovely carvery on a Sunday, well we have meet different friends and all of them have said what a very good carvery. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The prices are just Right. You can stop there for B and B . You can go in every 15 miles in each direction and a town from Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury, and Worcester.

Got recommended here by a local, and was very glad we went. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. The barman was super cute too 😍

Avoid at all costs paid cash on arrival been accused of leaving without paying,threatened with police which is fine because both me and my partner paid for the room £80 cash,was clean and tidy but obviously staff are pocketing money and accusing people of not paying,had threats of photos sent to my mobile phone.lets hope they domt get much business as they don't deserve it for how disrespectful they are.

Fab food, lovely staff, reasonably priced. Busy with a good atmosphere. Personally I prefer to ear in the bar on a little table, but they do have a big dining room if you want to sit at a "proper" table. Good range of beers too. It is, as someone said tonight, a friendly place!

Met friends at the wheatsheaf. The food was outstanding. Home made. Hot. The staff were very helpful and professional.the wife had the beef and ale pie, I had the burger. The burger was at least 1 1/2 inches thick. Wow what a burger. Prices very competitive for home made food. The chips were proper chips, the best. Thank you all are The Wheatsheaf, will defo be back. But you must book as was full.

Cant comment on food as didnt eat but the room we stayed in was amazing. Beds comfy, plenty of space in room. Will definitely stay again.

Our family of 5 went for a Sunday lunch. Nice comfortable place and we went for the carvery. The food was good except the beef was stringy and the turkey which I thought would be easy to eat was similar and I wasn't able to finish it all. My wife had gammon which was good.

Very warm atmosphere. The pub landlady and staff were very friendly and helpful. The meal was very substantial. U picked the steak and Stilton pie. It was delicious.

Stopped in for a quick drink, very clean and tidy and a good selection of draught drinks and an equally good selection of non alcoholic drinks. Friendly service and not too hard on the wallet.

Absolutely amazing service, with a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was disappointing, however the atmosphere and super friendly and very help staff more than made up for that. Would I return, yes for the service no for the food but it overall it was a really great experience so we will be back

Staff are so friendly, service outstanding. The Sunday carvery delicious so were the other meals we had. Our Sunday dinners were plated up for us so as we could have them warmed up and eaten when it weren't so busy. Highly recommended. - Richard & Lynda (the hop pickers)

On a recommendation we tried the Sunday Carvery, absolutely gorgeous, choice of 4 meats & lovely choice of vegetables. We didn't go for a pudding because we were so full after the carvery, but the choice again was brilliant. Great service, even though it was really busy & staff were all very friendly. Excellent value too. Will definitely be returning & next time will have a pudding! 😜

We came back for the beef burgers for second time. Still the same massive portion but so tasty you cannot stop yourself until is all gone. Lovely open garden to enjoy your meal and a quiet drink with plenty of space for kids and dogs to join. Staff is extremely friendly and always there to help. The parking lot is only meters away from the entrance with plenty of space available. Three happy Bulgarians would definitely come back again very soon.

We took faith in the reviews and tried this place, after thinking it was closed/shut down. The outside of this pub just didn’t have that inviting feel, hence why we’ve driven past it so many times! Don’t be fooled though, the inside has lots of character. Some of the decor in the restaurant could be so much better, but to be honest we had the carvery & we loved it! It was so good! Beautiful meat, cooked to perfection & a real nice spread of veggies. The price too, is a huge plus for us, we felt completely satisfied! £97 for a family of 5 - 2 courses and drinks! It says something when we are looking to come back for an evening meal! Pros - The food & the price! Such welcoming staff. Cons - The decor, the lack of good advertising online!

I honestly can not praise this place enough, me and a friend attended a festival local to this establishment and stopped here over night, the rooms are immaculate and cosy, the food is divine, (highly recommend the steak baguette and the full English breakfast) the Staff and owners honestly go above and beyond to make you feel so welcome they are quite possibly the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I wish I could give 10 stars. As a GF vegetarian I have never been made more welcome or had better food. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. On arrival they told me they had made me a GF nut roast, GF Yorkshire pudding and GF cauliflower cheese to go with the large selection of perfectly cooked veg. They had even made me a GF, vegetarian gravy! On booking the previous evening I had simply asked if there would be a risotto suitable for me. It was the best experience I have Ever had and can't recommend it highly enough. The GF chocolate tart to follow was amazing too.

Called in week day evening for a quick meal. Lasagne & Madras delicious Decided to book for Sunday lunch Carvery With family Once again food excellent & service too. Great selection of roast meats & veg all cooked to perfection. Three of us had desserts - delicious! Staff were great, atmosphere good, prices very reasonable. What more can you ask? The food is always good at this pub. Nothing deconstructed just traditional well cooked and good sized portions. They do a lovely steak, and stilton salad!

What a lovely place. We stayed overnight on our way to Torquay. The staff were so lovely and friendly and the food was delicious. Our room was spotlessly clean and really light and airy with a lovely comfy bed. Would definitely recommend it, and would stay again when in the area.

We were on a walking holiday and intended to have lunch at The Wheatsheaf. We arrived to find they were closing early as there were no customers. But instead they opened up for us and we had some great sandwiches. Totally amazing and many thanks to the team.

Nice and friendly with good wholesome food. I had a burger which was delicious and my husband had steak pie with a separate crust. Best of all - cheesecake to take away!

Fabulous meal, best fish and chips we have had for ages. Excellent service, lovely big garden and children's play area. They even have Butty Bach on draft so I will be back soon with my fiancé, after a walk then their Sunday lunch :)

We rang about 1 30pm on Sat to see if they would accept a late lunch party. No problem ...so we hot footed it up from Cradley. We arrived at 1 50 pm & had agreed we were really pushing our luck & might have to settle for a drink but not at all. A warm welcome. Lovely, engaging young staff who were up for a bit of banter. We had 2 dogs with us & there was a warm welcome for them also. The food was excellent. It tasted really fresh. We had the chilli prawns followed by a malteser cheesecake. What struck me about this pub was the young team were all working together & smiling. It was a pleasure to be in their presence.

Had just the best Sunday roast around. Hot and tasty, lots of different vegetables. I had roast pork with crackling, beautiful. Good choice of puddings. The service was excellent, friendly efficient staff. Excellent value for money, I will definitely be back.

Nice atmosphere and full of locals so lots of friendly chat. Staff were plentiful and helpful. The carvery was good. Some of the Beef was challenging but the Turkey and Gammon were excellent. Broccoli was a bit too undercooked for me. The Bakewell Tart was good and She said her Rhubarb Crumble was also v good. The weekly menu and specials board looked interesting and varied.

Lovely food and friendly staff. A locals' pub (all seemed friendly and welcoming on the night and even knew I'd seen the Specials boards). Lots of gin, whisky and beer to select from. Gin mainly Gordons and Whitley Neill, but some others. Accommodating to requests about altering dish, so no potatoes but more salad. Also offered rice or veg. Be aware 2 different special boards - one in dining area and one in bar area. Planning to return.

My wife and I got a takeout carvery on Sunday, the staff were as fantastic as ever and the food was soooo good 👍.we both highly recommend eating here, the carvery is in our opinion the best we have had, well done and thank you to all the staff, see you soon
