We came here a couple of times while staying in the area. They have an excellent selection of ciders and they are very dog friendly! We also had a meal one evening which was delicious. The pub also has a very historic feel, very pretty and fitting with Ledbury.

What a lovely find in Ledbury, stopped in for a drink on the first night of our stay. Great range of beers and drinks, very welcoming and very friendly atmosphere. Pulled in again on our second night drawn by their food menu, service was quick and food delicious. Shame we had only two days there but highly recommend this gem .

We visited this pub on our one night stay in Ledbury. It's a really lovely pub with great staff. It was acoustic music night as it was a Wednesday. The group of musicians were very welcoming to my husband, who always travels with a guitar, and invited him to play. We had a great night and enjoyed the music from some very talented musicians. We will definitely return when we are next in Ledbury.

We decided to try the Prince of Wales as is dog friendly and wasn't disappointed. It hadn't been a great day of our holiday having got soaking wet but the meal we had was superb to make up for it. We had a warm welcome and liked the rustic style atmosphere. We had the chickpea and spinach curry which was very tasty and I had the steak and kidney pie, mash and peas and it was the best pie I've ever had, it has a lovely suet pastry and was filled to the brim. The Ledbury ale was good also. Our dogs enjoyed the complimentary gravy bones! We hope to visit again in the future. DM Norfolk.

Stopped in this pub for lunch as we were visiting the town. Ordered beef madras curry and it was over £13 and there were 5 oxo cube sized bits of beef in the whole meal. Curry wasnt flavourful at all. My wife had the vegetarian curry and she said it was the worst curry she'd eaten. Sorry guys but the food wasn't good. Atmosphere was good and old charm of the pub was lovely and staff were friendly and professional.

Popped in for a quick lunchtime pint and stopped for two and some food. Nice warm welcome in smallish pub, good selection of beers and ciders on hand pump and what we had was served in perfect condition and reasonable priced. The menu is not extensive, but to traditional pub fare. The pie and sausages we had was fine, but not exceptional, but a reasonable value for money. If ever in area again would happily call in again.

Over a year since visiting Ledbury. We don't live so far away and have always enjoyed our visits, so decided on a browse and pub lunch would be a nice treat, as we had a day's break. The atmosphere and place was very nice - clean, interesting with helpful and friendly staff. The beer was excellent. So disappointed in the food though. We had jumbo cod and chips, which definitely wasn't jumbo! The batter was terrible and hardly any fish inside - massively overcooked too. Chips were OK and tartar sauce and so on, but it was a very poor and left a bad taste in our mouths and bad feeling, as we reflected afterwards that we should have mentioned our disappointment. Don't think you should advertise Fish on Friday as a special thing unless it is at least slightly special. (it ruined our day a little :0( ) Hopefully you will improve this, as it is very nice in other ways.

Passed through Ledbury on our way back home from Hay on Wye to Leicester. Found this place from a recommendation by a local in another pub (the particular pub had stopped serving food as it was a Sunday). Luckily the Prince of Wales serves food from 12 until late, so for a Sunday we were initially pleased with just that as it was 6pm. Walked through the door and instantly loved the place. A real traditional cosy pub that is clearly loved by the locals. Atmosphere was spot on. After a bit of helpful consultation with the friendly pub staff, we ordered fish and chips and the vegan pie from the specials board. Absolutely banging food! Saved room for dessert, warm choc fudge cake and sticky ginger pudding! Delicious. What a find this place is. If you’re passing through or visiting town, take yourself here for a really traditional and excellent experience. Hope our paths cross again some day. Cheers.

In delightful Ledbury, we chanced upon The Prince of Wales for a quick snack lunch...and very good it was too. The P o W is tucked up a side street (Church Lane) in the town centre, and is a bit 'tardis' like i e a lot larger inside than you'd think from the outside. This is a really friendly local pub with quite a history, and a good range of drinks with a simple bar menu. My wife and I had a drink and a sandwich each, for which I paid £20. The sandwiches were fine - certainly nothing to complain about - but ordinary, so I'm giving this review 4* because of the friendliness and ambience of this proper pub. Recommended.
