Was here with friends and have never seen anything like it!
I have worked in hospitality and this was embarrassing!
Service was shocking with staff clearly not wanting to be there and clearly not coping, some of the customers were even offering to help!
Food offering was very poor, bar staff were sinking and ran out of many things which resulted in the owner nipping to the shop across the road for wine.
We’ve traveled down from Newcastle and staying in Warwick, we googled good Indian restaurants around me and shahs popped up! We’re so glad it did. The food was amazing, all tasted super fresh and the portions are huge! The service was great the staff are so friendly. I’d 100% eat here again! And highly recommend
We found this little restaurant while wandering in Edinburgh and after reading the menu which was posted outside, decided to go in. We almost turned around. It is very small with crowded tables and it was cold inside. But we didn't leave and I am so glad we didn't. The waiter closed the door to keep the cold out and the food was absolutely amazing. As we like to do, we ordered plates of appetizers to share. Absolutely everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. I have never tasted falafel as good. If you are in Edinburgh, you absolutely have to try Eden's kitchen.

Fabulous outdoor area with tasty pizzas most evenings in summer.
Very good beer selection, both cask and keg. Slightly let down by the use of overspill from one cask beer being used to top up pints of that beer.
Tucked away by the canal, Ocho in Glasgow might just be serving up the city’s best-kept breakfast secret. I popped in for a morning bite and ordered the breakfast meat burrito—and wow, what a decision.
Packed with crispy bacon, juicy sausage, fluffy egg, and fresh, zingy pico de gallo, this burrito was a flavour bomb from the first bite. Everything was perfectly balanced—nothing overpowering, just layers of goodness wrapped in a warm tortilla.
Honestly, it might just be the best breakfast burrito I’ve had. The vibe was laid-back, the staff friendly, and the food? Next level. What a find.

Be sure to make a reservation in advance! It worked for us a day in advance. Be flexible with your time! You get two hours, which should be plenty, especially since the waitress is friendly but assertive, and wants your order taken. The food was divine: oysters, shrimp, smoked fish, even a great version of rollmops, and then the main courses!!! It wasn't easy to choose. So we each had something different and shared it. We'll definitely be back!
PS: Unfortunately, you can only pay with cash or a UK bank transfer; we would have spent more with a credit card. 🤷🏽♂️

Attended with work party and had the ham hock to start, a perfectly cooked steak (and chips) as main and a chocolate mousse to finish. The food was fantastic and could tell they care about the food they cook.
Staff were amazing and could not be more attentive and friendly. Always on hand to grab drinks and assist with anything needed.
The restaurant itself was a great atmosphere and looked great. And was in a perfectly central location.
Came here for a late lunch mid-afternoon, just as the market was closing. The first floor balcony overlooking the market was lovely, but we soon learnt that it was easy to be forgotten there.
After about 20 minutes I had to wave at a server inside before anyone would come to take a drinks order. Ordered the food when the drinks arrived, and then another long wait. Maybe it was a staff changeover or they were taking a break after the lunchtime peak, but everything was just too slow.
Saying that, the servers were really friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The bar and indoor seating areas are also very nicely appointed.
We paid the included service charge but maybe we shouldn’t have. Hoping for a better experience next time.
You may need a mortgage to eat here for a very average meal. I have one of their larger plates lunch specials. The only thing larger was the plate, food portions were small.
I shall not be eating here again, much better value and food quality to be had elsewhere and locally!
A truly wonderful place to eat and drink created by head chef Elliot Miller and his fantastic team. A varied, interesting, seasonal menu, with every dish cooked to perfection, all with interesting and incredibly well balanced flavours. The beef tartare, dill oysters and duck breast were stand out for us, but everything was so good it is hard to pick favourites! The Sommelier was very knowledgeable and friendly and helped us to pick a wonderful bottle that would hold up to all of our dishes. The front of house team were all extremely attentive and warm and we just had the best evening all round visiting Cabotte! I would highly recommend a visit!
