When I was a rep I travelled round the country. I knew all the butty shops in the north. Now they are almost gone. However, here is a stunning butty shop. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or general takeaway they do everything. Fab food, lovely girls, all so clean and tidy. Breakfast, burgers, wraps, steak, salt and pepper chicken, just about anything.
The girls obviously have their regulars, first name terms and orders recalled but there was a steady stream of, mostly trades people, all personally addressed and catered for.
I am retired and am lucky enough to eat in all sorts of places, usually without reviewing.
On this occasion I just had to put fingertip to keyboard.
Well done girls, I’ll be back.
We come down to this area to fish. We spend 3 or 4 nights in this area .so our destination is Coco's first .
Great food equally great people.
The breakfast sets us up for the day
Easily my favourite bar ever.
JYD is a diamond in the rough.
Exuding effortless cool they host stunning music, performance, serve great food and have an amazingly friendly, cosy environment. There is always something amazing happening there, be it art exhibitions, crazy game nights, comedy, music, spoken word and so much more. The staff are knowledgable, helpful and superbly cool.
Reminds me of a time before corporate consistency and money ruined all character and charm.
The coolest place to meet or chill at any time of day.
The food was reasonably priced, and vegan. The service was quick. The victoria sponge and meringue tasted like the real thing. It was SO lovely having hens wandering around our feet.
We held a funeral wake for my brother on 31st march, they provided a very good spread of food and the staff are first class, prices very reasonable, everything you would hope for from a local pub, highly recomended.
Lovely cafe with a great selection of quiche and other lunch time snacks, pretty decor. We had the quiche and salad which is delicious and great value. The service excellent.
Had a lovely lunch here today with my parents. Food very tasty and fresh. Love the quirky interior and the owner is very welcoming. Great to find a new place to lunch close to home. Will definitely be returning. Looking forward to trying the homemade tiramisu next time. Excellent value.
We all had really lovely meals and didn't have to wait long even though it was very busy. Can see it's a popular friendly place. Staff were nice & was very clean. Photos of regulars on the walls was a nice touch. Highly recommend giving them a visit
Started coming in when my baby girl was 2 weeks old (I need to get out of the house and as a first time mum the thought of going to a bigger establishment didn't appeal to me). My baby is now 11 weeks old. We've been going in once a week every week. Anna, her daughter and fellow staff members are so polite and attentive. It really is a pleasure to keep visiting this little perfect establishment. Prices are very very reasonable in this day and age and everything they offer is delicious and fresh! Really is a must visit place!
A small but very friendly place. I am fussy eater. I have a tuna melt. Perfect .I came back for lunch the whole week. I love my coffee having my own machine and watch people on how they make it. Every step in the process was how I was trained. Beautiful espresso.
Y Not Coffee is based down Gatehouse run by mother and daughter duo Alison & Gemma. It’s such a lovely warm welcoming cafe that is open from 7am-1:30pm they do lovely proper coffee with cakes 🧁 and hot food including sausage rolls and pasties.
From a creative media point of view the decor is modern, contemporary, clean and fresh looking.
We would really recommend the coffee shop we will definitely be back
