Great casual dining establishment. Went here for a beer and a snack. Had the chicken wings. They were cooked well. The buffalo sauce was flavorful, but they were small in size. A lot of beers on tap. We tried a flight of beer. This was a great way to try many beers. They played wonderful music here.
I visited Brew & Brownie during a quick day trip to York, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. With “brownie” in the name, I obviously had to go for a brownie and coffee — and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Rich, gooey, and perfectly paired with a smooth cup of coffee.
A friend of mine recently visited York and I recommended it to her too — she loved it just as much as I did.
The place has such a charming design, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the location couldn’t be more convenient. Great vibes, great people, great treats. What more could you ask for? Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in York!
Fantastic atmospheric Greek bistro right in the historic city centre, serving a great selection of delicious authentic dishes, from hot and cold meze (small plates) to larger main dishes, to meat or veggie set menus for 2 to share. The staff are lovely and I’ve always had great meals there. Vegetarians, vegans, kids all well catered for. Highly recommend.
Booked with my partner for birthday dinner.
Staff very smartly dressed and attentive service. Starters arrived quickly which were very good( Calamari & Zucchini fritti) main courses arrived , Veal Tortolini and Seafood Risotto, both amazing dishes. I was made a fuss off as it was my bday with a written plate from the Kitchen which was a lovely touch. Pistachio Blondie dessert was to die for! Restaurant even called us a cab home.
As an ex restaurant owner I’m particularly observant as to what’s going on around me when dining out. I can confidently say this restaurant’s food and service is faultless!

I visited this place because it was close to King's Cross Station and had good reviews. They were so friendly and the food was delicious. I recommend the butter chicken curry and garlic.
This is the third time I’ve visited their branch at The Merrion Way and will probably be my last. The first time was quite pleasant, the second time not so good and the third time was absolutely terrible. I was with two friends and we all agreed that the meals were terrible. Too dry, too bland and very, very salty. We complained and they took our meals away to be re-vamped. They just added water and a sprinkle of chilli which made no difference whatsoever. Customer service was also very poor. In future I’ll just stick to their branch at Burley. Never disappointed there and Shakeel looks after you.
